We paid way too much for what this provides the cost of tickets for 2 kids and two adults plus dock fees came in at around £450! We thought a discount had been applied but hadn’t. I questioned this at the checkin but the language barrier meant I didn’t get far!
This is a crazy amount for what’s offered. In fairness there are deals that can reduce the price which we thought had been applied but on purchasing that wasn’t highlighted and therefore we paid full price.
Even with the discount I’d struggle to justify the cost.
It was a treat for my sons birthday and although the team were great, very professional and show and food ok it’s hard not to come away from this feeling ripped off.

Was asked to pay dock fees which were Never Mentioned to me. Paid $400 and thought that was all as no comment from Viator regarding this. I was fortunate that my wife had funds with her. I also asked other persons about this and NO one else was charged this fee. I also was shown what others paid and was half of what Viator charged.

At first the people were a little shy but at the end of the night everyone was dancing together. The show was super fun for everyone. The only draw back was the food, it was a little meh.

This adventure was awesome from start to finish. The only issue was getting to the starting point! The location listed on Viator was a good 30 minute ride from the actual spot where the boat was docked. Thankfully, our driver didn't charge us more and insisted we depart from our location an hour early!
Now, to the starting point! While waiting to board, "Captain Hook" challenged people to sword fights, and the entire cast took pics with us. That made the wait entertaining. Our guide was absolutely phenomenal! I hate I forgot his name, but he was the one holding the green flag upon entry. The show began immediately, and the performance was spectacular! That captain's energy was on another level. She had the stamina of an entire army troop! LOL.
They conducted the entire show in Spanish and English, so it was quite easy to follow most of the story line. Even when I drifted to enjoy the waters, figuring out what was going on was easy.
Dinner was tasty, but a bit overpriced in my opinion. They were going to charge me a whopping $35 for one extra lamb chop which only had about 50 grams of meat on it. Of course, I declined.
After dinner was more sword fighting and dancing with the cast. I would rate this excursion on the top of my list of activities I experienced while in Cancun.
My advice: Make sure to contact them to confirm the exact location where your boat will be docked and leave in plenty of time to ensure you don't miss it!

Everyone was very personable. The smiles were amazing and bigger than we had seen on this whole trip. We felt like part of a family before, during, and after the show. The show itself was fantastic. It was farther away from the hotel then I anticipated but that was on me. We could have not asked for a better time.

Absolutely amazing, the experience was surreal, acting 10/10, service 10/10, and drinks 10/10. Great for couples and family very entertaining and we had Bonnie as our server super sweet and tended to our every needs ! One of many great excursion in Cancun !

Excellent! The staff was attentive and helpful; drinks and show were great! The food was fabulous. I’d recommend to anyone.
cindy_p, May 2024
The experience was overpriced and overcrowded. They booked a company event on top of the regular visitors. Their attention was directed to them, and not so much to the others on the boat.
We were given the wrong location by Viator and almost missed the boat racing around in a cab trying to find it. If you book through Viator you need to do research to make sure you are being directed correctly.

This was a wonderful family experience. Our personal pirate was a bit scatterbrained with orders and also tried to seat us (a group of 7) at dinner, at a table with a family who only had 4 places to sit....The language at times was a bit strong for children (*gosh darn* could be used or "malvado" instead of the actual expletives that were said, just as a suggestion). The food was rather tasty, in actuality. The pictures were fantastic as was the memorabilia picture frame. I would suggest getting the arranged transportation because if we had not, I did not see many taxis at the pier, when we were finished late in the evening. Recommend overall.

This was a fantastic experience! We went for my son's 8th birthday and he loved it, as did y 4 year old daughter. The drinks weren't great (I ordered a mojito and it came out florescent blue and tasted like mouthwash,) but other than that, no complaints. The whole thing was interactive, welcoming, and a blast! The group wasn't too big which was great, and there was a taxi service waiting when we got back to find people rides which was also a relief. The food and service were fantastic, really great night out for the family!

Having my daughter selected to participate in the show. She was so excited.
The crew (pirates) put their all into the show and service for the guests. They really seem like they enjoy doing it.
Great value for money and really pleased with the whole thing experience for my kids and I

Sipia_C, Dec 2023
Definitely worth it! Would definitely recommend for any age groups. Only issue was that our server was part of the show so we didn't get a lot of drinks.

It was a great night out on the sea. Action, adventure, pirates, mutiny, food and salty wenches! A great time for the whole family!
Emilee_S, Aug 2023
This is still a fun time and I recommend this show, particularly if you’ve never done it.
Carlotta was a particularly excellent pirate, staying in character and having the energy and passion for her role that was evident in her performance. What the Captain lacked in articulation and engagement, Carlotta made up for it. Black Jack is seeming a little tired these days - it’s time for a rotation!
All the staff were extremely attentive to supplying the guests with drinks - a never ending supply of drinks.
Also, the special treatment that the kids received was an awesome experience for them!

This was a really fun experience for many reasons, although there are a few things I wish I knew ahead of time. We arrived at the venue a bit before 5:30pm (the scheduled time) and checked in. Check in was fairly easy, however there was a couple ahead of us confused about the dock tax. I was aware of the dock tax because of the document I received when I purchased the experience. However, the document said the tax was $12 and in one spot said $13 in another (Viator should update this). However, at the actual venue the tax ended up being $14. To my understanding, only adults paid this tax despite it saying per person. My child is under 10 years old. I am not sure at what age they begin collecting the tax, but I didn't have to pay for him. You have the option to pay with card or cash. Once we arrived, checked-in and paid the tax, someone took our name and introduced us to our waiter/guide (Peter). We then were sent to take a picture with the cast. The boat didn't arrive until about 6:10pm so there was about a 40 minute wait in between when we were told to arrive and when we actually boarded. My child got a bit antsy but there are some shops in the area (ice cream, juice, clothing) and displays of model boats that kept us entertained for the most part. We also played corn hole while we waited. Once aboard the ship, we were seated (we did not choose our seats, but were fine with our spot, but another couple moved upstairs) and placed orders for drinks. The show was very entertaining for adults and kids. It was bilingual (Spanish and English) and the cast switched seamlessly. At one point the kids were taken away from the adults (pirate training). My child started to go, but changed his mind and there was no pressure from anyone to make him go. I appreciated this because he can be very shy. He stayed with the adults and still enjoyed himself. Once the children returned, they received certificates. My child received one even though he didn't go (they took the children's names and spelling before we boarded the boat) and the kids really seemed to enjoy hearing their names called. The drinks were plentiful (Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages) and people were able to get as many as they liked. One mistake I made was not eating before getting on the ship because I wanted to be hungry for our meal. Dinner happens toward the end of the experience. If you don't want hungry kids or you don't like drinking on an empty stomach, I would suggest eating before you get on the boat. The wrist bands you receive when you check in indicate which dinner you will receive (your choice based on the meal you chose) and dining happens below deck at large tables (meaning you will most likely be sitting with people you don't know- not an issue, but just a warning because there seemed to be some people who thought they would get their own table). You stand in line for dinner and someone prepares your plate (except for the kids dinner, which was brought to the table). I thought the food was decent. I selected a steak medium- all of the steaks seemed to come for the same place and were already cooked so I am not sure how the doneness of the steak is taken into account, but maybe there is something that happens behind the scenes. I received noodles, rice and potatoes with my steak and thought everything was pretty tasty. My child got the children tenders and fries. The fries were actually potato wedges which he enjoyed, but he didn't like the tenders. I thought they tasted fine but he is a picky eater. If your child is a picky eater, you may want to bring some snacks or pack a lunch/dinner for them in case. After dinner, there was a dance party on the deck. There was also the opportunity to buy the picture taken at the beginning of the experience and some other souvenirs (stuffed animals, bandanas, fake swords etc). I bought the picture (it came with a nice frame) and a fake sword which cost me $50 USD. I was able to pay with cash, but cards were also an option. One thing I noticed was there doesn't seem to be a system to easily locate your picture. The woman running the souvenir shop had to go through all of the pictures to see which one was you. It didn't take super long, but it wasn't very efficient considering there was sometimes a line of people waiting in a small hallway. We didn't get back until close to 10pm. By this time my child was quite tired. It was hot & humid (August in Mexico so that's to be expected but little ones may need lots of water) and the trip was longer than I expected (about 3.5 hours from actually getting on the boat until we got off-it was probably mentioned in the description but I missed it). We gave a tip to our individual waiter/guide and one in general on the way out. The cast was super friendly and gave everyone fist bumps on the way out. Overall, I think the experience was worth the money and quite fun. If you are bringing kids (which a lot of people did) just consider the length, food situation and hydrate!

Heather_M, Apr 2023
Our 10 year olds really enjoyed the show, it was very family friendly. The actors speak their lines in both Spanish and English. Groups are assigned a pirate who provide drinks through out the show. The dinner food was fine, although it was a bit rushed since the dining room was not large enough to seat everyone so the guests ate in waves. It was a fun evening overall.

Show was so-so - very difficult to hear and understand. Much to long. Food was pretty lousy - cafeteria grade experience. Definitely not worth the price or experience. Meh.
Kamisha_B, Dec 2022
It was so cool. The actors stayed in character the whole time even when the audience became apart of the show! They made sure everyone was enjoying the experience and well taken care of. The entire crew made sure that you had a blast and got back safely! 10/ 10 would recommend

From the minute we got to dock we were greeted by pirates in full character. We were seated and drinks were served immediately and continuously throughout the show.
The show was amazing and interactive for everyone including the children.
The food was good and very well organized.
We had such a fun night I’m still smiling

It was an okay experience definitely not worth the money. Went with my husband, 11,12,17,18 year old. I would not recommend. Save your money and go to a wonderful restaurant like Gustinos or Harry’s or Fred’s
