Peaceful kayaking through lagoon and mangroves. Jessica was an excellent guide to the wildife and plants of the area. Some of the kayaks were sit-on-tops, some were less comfortable Yakboards, all were fine since this was all easy paddling. PFDs and waivers were standard. Guide was prepared to instruct paddling technique, but we were fairly experienced, so she limited her tips to some pointers as needed for our youngest teen. We applied insect repellent as a precaution but didn't notice many mosquitoes.
We booked an evening kayak, and the Viator listed time didn't line up with the summer sunset. Jessica did notify us of the time change, but we couldn't easily change our transportation arrangements. We spent the extra hour at the nearby Parroquia de Cristo Resucitado, which also offered pleasant shaded gardens and a Catholic bookstore with beautiful, affordable, Mexican-made crucifixes.
The meeting point was just across the street from Temptations Cancun behind Oxxo at the pier.
We ended up being the only two to book, so ended up being a private tour. So nice!
We’re experienced kayakers so was an easy paddle.
They had decent equipment too!
Juan Carlos (Junior) was an excellent guide.
Very enjoyable tour.
Amazing experience!!! Really fantastic. Sabrina and Camilla are two fantstic persons. They helped me in everything and they satisfied all my request. The tour in the laguna at sunset is really a peace atmosphere. Camilla explained all the details of the laguna. It was my first experience in Kayak. I recommend to everybody this tour. The comunication before trip was fantastic. An experience that will be always in my heart
Had an amazing time! Super educational about the red mangrove and the ecosystem within. Highly recommend!
Jr. and Dylan were fantastic guides! They were both very patient and were sure to point out things that were spotted and other information about the waters and the areas we were in. We have never kayaked to watch the sunset so this first time experience was awesome. The company was sure to communicate as soon as the booking was made and remained in constant communication up to the date of the event. That is something I also liked instead of waiting until the last moment like some others. We highly recommend this tour and if we ever make it back, will do this again.
