Great tour!

P_M, Jul 2026
Great tour and beautiful water! everybody was very friendly, provided great service and made sure you always have something to drink!

Great daytrip

Armando_L, Jul 2026
We bought the basic package, read the small print so we knew we had to pay an additional $50 p/p at port, however just like the other reviews we we're offered a platinum upgrade which was totally worth it! We went on a VIP type of catamaran with like 15 people, very attentive staff, drinks kept coming, weather was perfect, we enjoyed the snorkeling, and food was very good, mexican cuisine.

the entire crew was attentive to everyone the entire duration of the trip. the food was amazing. very fun

Fun day!

Emily_F, Oct 2025
Really awesome and professional. Everything in the description is included besides the dock tax per person. I wish we spent a little more time at the first stop to shop more but they were overpriced anyways so not that big of a deal. We paid extra to do golf carts, at the second stop, which was pretty fun and there are some small shops to buy souvenirs for cheap! They took pics all day, I was with a group of 6 so splitting the cost for all of them was not bad at all (I think it ended up being $6 each). All in all great day!

Think twice!

LATRESE_T, Aug 2025
At first arrival, they say you can’t use your sunscreen because it’s harmful to the sea life. Then they make you buy their “natural sunscreen” that’s over priced. Snorkeling was about ten minutes. On the boat they are pushing drinks but what you don’t know is they are reusing the ice and cups that people are drinking out of. Disgusting! The food was horrible and cold. I wish I could get my money back!

Leslie_M, Jul 2025
There is a 45 dock fee per person that is not included in the cost of the trip. It was hidden in the fine print. Also we paid an additional fee for pickup and drop off from our resort. They picked is up and brought us to the marina but there was no one there when we returned so we had to find different transportation. I emailed the provider and was never returned a message about the transportation and did not receive my money back.

Truly worth it

Vincent_A, Jul 2025
This was an amazing experience. The catamaran was fun, the beach at isla mujeres was great, but the best part was the golf cart tour. My catamaran hostess Daphne was awesome

Not a good boat tour for what it's promised

Annmarie_C, Jun 2025
There was way too many people on the boat!! This is not normal! The pictures they show you of the boat are outdated. The boat is not looked that pretty anymore. It’s very outdated some rough spots. It just doesn’t look as appealing as the photos. I recommend not doing this to her. They also charge you an extra $45 for a fee whether you snorkel or not so the cost is not correct because once you get there, you have to pay more money which isn’t fair. They do not mention this in the ad. You don’t eat until almost 4 PM you don’t leave until almost 1:30 PM after length the talk in mostly Spanish. There was a very little transition available for English speakers. where you eat, food is an open buffet with birds eating out of the buffet as well as human, so be careful and be cautious. The snorkel part was very short and not very safe in my humble opinion they left them and came back and circle around. It didn’t seem like a very good spot to see fish. The alcohol was flowin the entire time people really love this part but we didn’t drink at all. We were only offered one Water once also, when I registered for this tour, it said it was a three hour tour. It ended up being almost 6 or seven hour tour total, including the time that they talk to you for an hour before hand in mostly Spanish. The boat does go very slow. it is not a fast moving boat. The main problem with this boat, Tour is that it offers a tour on the island and you’re only allowed 10 minutes to go to the bathroom and take a shot of tequila turn around and get back on the boat. I’ll Muera specifically is more crowded at 1 PM. I do not recommend taking the 1 PM boat at all, especially being choppy it wasn’t very good for the snorkeling. The only reason I took the sore was to get to the island and spend time on it and I felt very rushed on the popular side of the island the slower side of the island there was only food and nothing else to do but sit by the beach. I would not recommend this for the fact that they stuff you on the boat and there is only seven seats in the shade and then seven seats underneath the boat where they don’t recommend you sit because you can become sick under the boat

Don't call it a lunch tour because it isn't.

Brandie_H, Jun 2025
They stated it was a "snorkel and lunch cruise." We didn't get to the lunch Buffett until 4:00. That isn't lunch.

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Thank you very much for sharing your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that the timing of the lunch didn’t meet your expectations. We’d like to kindly clarify that you were part of the afternoon tour, which starts at 1:00 PM. As outlined in the itinerary, this tour begins with the snorkeling activity, followed by a scenic sailing experience to Isla Mujeres. Because of this schedule, the lunch buffet is served around 3:30 to 4:00 PM, which is standard for this tour and explained to guests upon boarding. While we understand that this might feel like a late lunch to some, it is important to note that the experience was delivered exactly as described: snorkeling, open bar, sailing, Isla Mujeres visit, and buffet lunch — all included in the package. We value all feedback as it helps us grow, but we also feel it’s important to provide accurate context for future guests. Thank you again for joining us, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon. Warm regards,

Great time, would highly recommend. Took this trip with my 12 year old son who also had a great time.

Payment

Sandy_C, Jun 2025
Please make sure you check for additional payments . They basically do not say that . At the entrance we had additional 140 dollars besides the 150 we paid .

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We’re truly disappointed to see your review focused solely on the payment, especially after delivering a tour where you had a great time and everything went smoothly. We’d like to be very clear: the $45 USD per person fee — which covers the Dock Fee and Reef Conservation Tax — is always specified in the “What’s Not Included” section of the tour description on Viator. It’s also included in your confirmation details. This is not an extra or hidden charge; it is a standard environmental and port fee required for all visitors. The total amount you paid at the marina simply depends on the number of people in your group. What feels unfair to us is receiving a low rating not based on the quality of the tour, the crew, the experience, or the attention you received — all of which, by your own words, were great — but rather on a cost that was clearly stated from the beginning. Our team works incredibly hard every day to provide unforgettable experiences, and it’s disheartening to see that effort overshadowed by a detail that was communicated transparently. We’re proud of the service we provide, and we’re confident you had a wonderful time with us. We only ask that your feedback reflect the full experience, not just one aspect that was always visible and expected. Sincerely,

Good

Great fun existing it was a great experience the tour guys were fun I will definitely come back again

Not bad

Chasity_M, Apr 2025
Overall the experience was okay. The guides were great. I wish they spoke more/better English. The buffet at the beach club definitely needs improvement and we only spent 2 hours at the beach club including the eating time even though we we were told 3 hours.

Response from Host, Apr 2025

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for joining us on the Catamaran to Isla Mujeres tour. We’re happy to hear that you enjoyed the company of our guides — we’ll be sure to pass your kind words along to them! We also appreciate your suggestions regarding the beach club buffet and the time spent there. We strive to provide a full and enjoyable experience, and your comments help us identify areas where we can improve. Regarding the time at the beach club, it is usually around 2.5 hours, depending on the day’s logistics, weather, and other group-related factors. We apologize if this was not clearly communicated. We’ll take your feedback seriously to enhance both our service and the clarity of the tour details. We hope to welcome you again and offer you an even better experience next time! Warm regards,

Honest review

Carolyn_H, Mar 2025
I can’t give this a 5 star simply because of the $45 dock fee that I had to pay after my reservation. I’ve docked out of Cancun before on other ships and I never had to pay $45 dock fee per person. Then if you use a credit card they charge you a 5 % fee for using debit card. When we arrived to Isla Mujeres the Beach club is actually trashy and the water looks dirty. The wooden shipping dock is broken and there are big holes so you have to be very careful because you could fall into the water if you step on the wrong plank. The food on the beach is disgusting they had hot dogs and they were nasty. The fruit was probably the only good thing they had at the beach club. If your going to participate in snorkeling be advised that they drop you off at one location and you have to swim back to the boat on your own and it’s a long way.

Alee_G, Feb 2025
This experience was incredible! Bring reef safe sunscreen or else you can purchase it when you check in. We opted for the adults only catamaran and got to swim longer when snorkeling— this was mine and my husbands favorite part! The staff were amazing and walked around to get drinks to everyone on board. If you want to see more of the island when you arrive, make sure you budget for adding a golf cart rental. Otherwise, the beach club was nice and we got to relax on day beds and enjoy the DJ.

Add on charges at location that was not explained when I booked the tour. Extremely disappointed. All tours was paid tw

Pamela_R, Jan 2025
There are extra charges that is not explained to you untill one day before the tour begins. We was charged $45 per person for Port expenses which is totally fine. But that should be told in the confirmation email when we purchased the tour.

Response from Host, Jan 2025

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify this matter. The information regarding additional charges, such as the $45 per person for port expenses, is clearly outlined in multiple sections during the booking process: 1. It is detailed in the product description before purchasing the tour. 2. It is highlighted in the Important Information section, which travelers are advised to review prior to booking. 3. It is also reiterated in the ticket/confirmation email, specifically under the sections detailing what is included and what is not included in the tour. We make every effort to ensure this information is transparent and readily available to all our guests from the moment they consider booking until the day of the tour. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Your satisfaction is very important to us, and we are always here to assist you. Great experience

Maureen_T, Jan 2025
The tour was great and staff was amazing at the catamaran. We tipped $800 for the boat crew that did a great job. These people deserve it.. However the transportation and driver was a bad experience. We paid for transportation and the driver won’t give a ride to the 2 people that I purchased in the tour. I paid Extra for transportation for pick up & drop off . I’ve been calling and texting the Tour operator but this is impossible as they don’t answer and don’t reply to text messages

Charged extra with no explanation of the charges taken by me.

Shipra_S, Dec 2024
You guys quote some price on the page and when pay it in full then you come out with a different price. After paying you guys, you still left a balance due on the customer because you put them in a situation where they have nothing to do except to pay you. Dissatisfied service

Not an enjoyable experience

Valencia_M, Oct 2024
The guy talked too much. It wasn’t relaxing, very stressful boat ride. Would not recommend. Did not enjoy

Not worth it.

Angela_M, Oct 2024
We booked this trip for snorkeling. Paid the extra 90 for dock fee. Bought a waterproof phone case at the pier they recommended for snorkeling which was 30 bucks. Got on the boat and sailed away just to find out there was no snorkeling happening that day. We should have been told this prior to sailing away. So it was about 300 US dollars to not snorkel at all. I would not recommend this trip. The boat staff was very nice but we were never told we wouldn’t be snorkeling.

Disappointing

clairejohn, Oct 2024
Positives were friendly staff and a beautiful sunset, and it was indeed a catamaran. Every other aspect was disappointing starting with terrible organisation and lack of communication. Our snorkeling was cancelled, not blaming the operator for this as it was due to hurricane Milton, however they should have told us beforehand as we may have declined to come given the reef tax payment doubles the cost of this trip, or ideally rescheduled. Stop one lunch was ok but in a very run down area and calling the few dusty sun loungers on a scrap of sand a beach club is a joke - we were given 1 hour 20 there but the only activities were an ice bar and fish spa (at additional cost and not for me anyway). The stop at isla Mujeres downtown felt like throwing us to the wolves, so many pushy sales people we felt so uncomfortable we just found a beach bar close to the dock and waited the two hours until we could leave, paying for expensive drinks and use of a bed. Other guests clearly felt the same as at both stops most were waiting on the dock for a good 15 mins before the allotted time, all keen to get back on the boat early. Overall we'd probably have had a better day at our hotel where the beaches are nicer than any we saw that day, and we felt the overall cost was far too high

Price scam!

Enrico_C, Oct 2024
The price is way to high for what you get. They sell it with a lower price but bring it up with very high tax of 830 mexican dollars, approximately 43 dollars US. A part of the money is for the reef but I needed to pay this for my 5 year old son who was denied to snorkel because of his age. All the other tours ask 20 dollars tax. The reef for snorkeling was beautifull but all the other tour operators are at the same spot. The boat is small and old. The lunch was good but again many tour operaters use the same beach club. There is only 1,5 hour food and open bar after that you need to pay. Also no free beach chairs, 23 dollars for two hours. The people on the boat do their best and make you feel comfortable. When we were picked up for the return there was someone so drunk that he was throwing up the whole time, my wife and baby needed to sit in this filty air for an hour.

An experience worth trying

Mairobi_M, Sep 2024
Our experience was great aboard Star Blue Three. Alex was very proactive and knowledgeable and always made sure everything was fine with us. The buffet had various options and a good taste. They also picked us up in the lobby on time.

Insuficiente info

Jenn_Y, Sep 2024
The most memorable part of this tour is the hassle we had to find the place. Neither the tour description nor the confirmation email have any important info such as the company that operates the catamaran and the address to go when you are not using the pick up option. We went to the so called “meet up point” an hour early, but no one there knows about our reservation, and only to find out we are in the wrong place and had to take an expensive taxi ride to get to the location, still have to ask a few people before finding the actual tour starting location. The tour guide was great, which is why I am giving it 2 star.
