I booked 4 days ahead and they had to know that 1/1 was New Year’s Day. However, 2 hours before they were to pick us us at our hotel, they notified me the trip cancelled because it was a holiday and they had no one to operate the tour!!! To say I was upset is an understatement!

The company sent a email out at 04.30 am confirming a change of pick up time. The pick up driver was very rude and argumentative. The Caterman was very overcrowded. Parents were not told that under 18’s and over 60’s were not allowed to participate in the snorkelling at the reef which was dangerous due to the high number of participants and rushed time constraints. The Isle of Mujures was also overcrowded due to the Caterman picking up more people and dumping them on the Island. My son had 80 dollars stolen from his bag whilst on the island. On the way back the coach crashed into some bollards at the entrance to the Astoria Waldorf hotel.Overall I would avoid this tour.

Came with family, first time, they didn’t explain how to put gear. They rushed us to jump, we were trying to fix snorkel mask for kids, we didn’t end up jumping, when ask if they would stop elsewhere, they said no, that was it. So I would not recommend this booking if it’s your first time or with kids, also heard from the guys that came in that they were being rushed while swimming, so if you don’t fully know how to swim this is not for you.

The snorkeling portion was brief and underwhelming. We were at the beach club an hour too long. Service was really good on the actual catamaran portion. It was nice to see beautiful water since coast is riddled with algae.

The whole experience was good. But still cant belive taxes where almost the double from the price of the tour, the page doesnt specify that and they almost force you to pay them.

Where to begin…
We booked this excursion months ago through Viator. As the day approached, we reconfirmed details for pick up at our hotel. The day before the tour, we received a text confirming our pick up at 840am for the 10am tour. On the day of the tour, we were waiting until at scheduled area and continued to wait for 15 minutes past our scheduled pick up time before we started calling the tour company. Two unanswered calls finally yielded a text response. When I inquired as to where our transportation was, I was told that our driver had caused an accident and could no longer pick us up. We were told to find our own way to the marina. After inquiring further regarding details of the marina, we finally had enough information to get in a taxi - this exchange took 40 minutes over text!
Once we finally got to the marina in our $30 cab ride, we were herded with other tourists to a hut on the beach where we were forced to wait in line for 30 minutes to sign a waiver. We were then separated (only 1 family member in line allowed), while we waited another 30 minutes to check in. We were checked in (honestly shocked that the reservation was real at this point), then forced to wait to talk to another representative ’who would give us very important information about our tour’. She gave us a very brief overview of the island before trying to upsell us on a luxury VIP option of the tour we had already booked - for only an additional $60 per person! This was a ‘great value’ that would put us on a smaller boat with less people - since our tour consisted of about 90 people! After we declined this, we were told to stand outside and wait for our boat to be called.
We waited another 15 minutes on the beach, dodging vendors who were selling hats and mangoes and ‘waterproof’ phone holders. Once we finally boarded the boat with 88 of our new friends, we were told that no one could wear sunscreen if they wanted to snorkel - even reef safe varieties. Once we were underway, the captain began to explain all the rules of the boat and the dangers of snorkeling. He continued to explain for another 25-30 minutes as we made our way to the snorkel spot. Once we arrived at the snorkel spot, where another dozen or so catamarans were stopped to let their guests snorkel, those who chose to could snorkel for about 20 minutes before reboarding the boat. After everyone was back on board, we continued on to a ‘beach club’, where we were herded through the marina, along a street and through a marketplace to our ‘lunch buffet’, which consisted of a basic salad, rice, bean, chicken, and fish offering. We ate our measly meal while waiting for our drinks, which never came after our orders were taken. Frustrated, we took a walk around the surrounding area before heading back to the marina to sit on the boat for the remainder of the time. Once the rest of the group piled back in, we were told that we were going to Playa Norte and that we had an hour to explore before getting back on the boat at 330 and heading back to Cancun.
Upon arrival at Playa Norte, we were once again herded through another ‘beach club,’ into the town and into a jewelry store where we were told we needed wristbands that would give us additional discounts and free access to toilets. After this was complete, we had about 45 minutes before we had to be back on the boat.
All in all, this was a complete waste of time and money and precious vacation day. Not only did the company scam us out of transportation money, but the overall tour was certainly not as advertised. I would caution anyone to stay far away from this tour! If you want to go to Isla Mujeres, take the ferry from the marina for $15/ person. If you want to snorkel, go aaaanywhere else.

I bought two tickets with transportation included and when i asked them when are u gonna pick us they told me we have no transportation and they said they are gonna send my transportation money back today but now i am writing again and again and they are ignoring me . They took my money and not giving back to me terrible

We were originally booked for the 27th, which was a beautiful day to be on q catamaran and getting to snorkel, which is what we were looking forward to on our honeymoon. Unfortunately, the driver did not take the time to check tickets or booking numbers and took someone else using our name and we were ignored when we asked if they were picking us up, and they left without us.
After having to prove we weren't actually on the bus we were told to "take a cab" to the marina, which would have left us abandoned there as it was so late. We agreed to be rebooked to today. We understand that nobody can control the weather however, the day we booked and should have been on the catamaran was a beautiful day. Today However we were unable to snorkel and dealt with cold rain both there and back. It was very frustrating to know that people 'stole' our expensive excursion and got what we paid for and we recieved less because of it. All due to the driver who did not do his job correctly. Very unhappy

Viator will contract with companies that scam you. ALL AROUND MEXICO stated the trip was canceled due to weather and then refused to refund me. I ended up taking a ferry.

If you want to join water activities like snorking or wind surf. They required you have to be a good swimming skill.( they should let us know before we buy ticket or they should put in describe the trip) The boat is old. They took us to the buffet which is just a few dishes and very bad.

One of the best days in my life. Me and a friend booked this boat trip with zero expectations. When we arrived at the meetup point, we got all the information we could need. The staff were absolutely fantastic and so helpful.
When we boarded the boat, all the staff were amazing there as well. All the information about snorkeling, the island and other was provided. The guides were amazing and so fun. When we arrived at Isla Mujeres, it was the most beautiful beach I’ve ever been to. The buffet included was so good and so many different options, good for vegetarians also. After we had been on the island and had free time, it was time to go back. We watched the sunset and had free drinks all the way back to the meetup point.
I would recommend this trip to everyone, from child to older people. Absolutely amazing, and thanks again to the guides at the catamaran.

This was a great experience all in all. Great vibes great music great staff! The included lunch was a buffet and it was delicious. I wouldn't spend too much in the area where you eat because after you'll get a full 2hrs to shop downtown isla! Drinking were continue passed out once you were done there was already another on the way lol our tour guide was Monse fantastic kept in simple sweet and alive lol. Book this tour

Don't hesitate, this is the one you should book. From the transportation pick up to the included food and drinks, this is the obvious choice. The staff was friendly and attentive and professional and organized. Perfect full day experience. Don't forget you sunscreen and pesos, because things cost less with pesos.

We had a great time, this is basically a boat party, the host we’re really fun, drinking and dancing to and from Isla Mujeres. The snorkeling was quick, but fun. It did the job for us. We didn’t eat the buffet. But we went to the restaurant across the street and it was very good, highly recommend you do that, instead of the buffet.

Snorkeling was fun and taking the golf cart around the island was worth it! Leti and crew from Cancun Sailing were awesome. Would definitely recommend going with a smaller group. We felt like VIPs.

We got placed on a boat called 'Manta'. The tour guide was unprofessional and unorganized.
He gave us no useful instructions for the snorkeling prior to getting in the water, other than how to put our masks on. He gave us no plan, no instructions, nothing.
He yelled conflicting commands the entire time while we were snorkeling. He would yell at everyone to follow him very quickly, then yell at someone for swimming and not staying still. He would yell at everyone to keep our faces below the water but then we couldn't see him to follow him??? We snorkeled for a total of 10 minutes and most of the time my husband and I were trying to frantically keep up with the guide's commands, we ended up seeing hardly anything. I saw about 3 fish and we glimpsed one statue. This whole experience was stressful and not enjoyable.
The guide would regularly argue with the crew about scheduling and timing for the day.
When we arrived on Isla de Mujeres he directed everyone to a specific shop where you will be pressured, guilted and hassled into buying something.
There was one point on the way back from the island a lady was laying down and sleeping at the front of the boat next to us. He stood directly over her and started to pour beer on her face, which woke her up, and then he kept commanding her to drink. Which she did because everyone was watching them at this point. She later shared that she was pregnant.... very unprofessional and almost predatory behavior.
He also would make inappropriate comments to a young girl with her mother about partying and drinking.
Rest of the crew was very kind and respectful.

The people and music on the boat were nice but the buffet food gave me food poisoning. It’s my anniversary and I’m stuck in my hotel cramped up in bed. Do not eat the buffet food please

Being herded like cattle will stick in my mind. Otherwise, the sailing to and from the island was nice. The crew were very nice and kept the drinks pouring. We were told to be at the dock by 9:30, which we did. We had to stand in a long line to check in even though we bought our tickets in advance. It wasn't until 11am before we finally departed. We were supposed to leave at 10am. We get to the island and were "herded" to a restaurant. Buffet was sub-par. Then we were given a couple of hours to walk around which we did for about 10 minutes because the street vendors were a huge nuisance. So we sat at the beach, but were then told we had to pay $10 for one hour to sit in a chair. Instead, we walked up to a beach bar and at least got a drink for $8 and was able to sit. I really couldn't wait to leave the island. The main reason we booked this trip was to snorkel on the island, but the wind was too strong so they cancelled it. No fault of theirs of course. So for $59 per person PLUS $15 per person for docking fees, it just wasn't worth it unless you want to get drunk on cheap beer.

Got picked up at the time they said they would pick me up, the driver Israel was a cool guy , once on the boat that’s when the fun began I had the time of my life and once to isla Mujeres had a great time the food and drinks were wonderful I do highly recommend this tour you want be disappointed

The latest reviews are accurate. Everything about the excursion was terrible from start to finish even after messaging the operator with questions prior to attending with our young children 8-10 years of age.
Please avoid if you have a family. We boarded a full van full of mosquitoes at pick up and drop off. The booking is misleading stating a 15 ppl max giving off the illusion that this excursion could be more intimate than others that are posted. We were packed in like sardines. The crew are not child friendly. Flies covered the food. I wish I could go into more detail but there’s not enough characters. Steer far away!
