It was an overall good experience, I enjoyed it even though it was long. The food was good and the cenote was relaxing.

Every time you turn around another person hired by this company wants money. Be prepared to pay for water including with you lunch.
Choose another company.

The research paid off and this was by far the best price for the experience we received. Lots of things to see and do. It felt a bit rushed at each place. The buffet was all you can eat so long as you can eat your fill in about a 20 minute period…including standing in the line. It almost felt too much included in the trip. But our guide Lalo was fantastic and he gave us the history and background of the places we were visiting to help bring our experience into a better context. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

We went with tour guide Hector. He and his team were great. Telling everyone about the history of the Mayans on the bus. We stopped off for lunch at a Mayan village. Got blessed by the Chief. Ended up spending loads on ornaments (£300) At chitzan itsa we went with an English guide who told us long stories about the Mayans but it left about 20 minutes to run around snapping photos. Should've started taken them while he was talking. Then onto a cenote which was beautiful and refreshing. The last stop was a quick stop to the city. We had a picture taken in front of the church. After we were brought back to our hotel. Thank you to Hector and the crew. Sorry I only remembered Hector's name. It was a lovely day out.

Did this tour in late November of 2025. Had a mixed experience so I'm breaking it down here.
The Good:
Our guide at Chichén-Itzá was amazing. She gave a thorough history of all things related to the area. The ancient structures were amazing to see and I thoroughly enjoyed the time we had there. The Cenote was absolutely stunning and I loved being so far down but being able to see up to the sky. Would absolutely return to either of these locations.
The OK:
The provided lunch was fine, but certainly not anything to write home about. The visit to Valladolid was also nice, but we literally had 25 minutes there, at night, with virtually no time to really explore the area.
The Bad:
The drive there was terrible. The bus was incredibly uncomfortable, and what was advertised as a 2.5hr bus ride, was closer to 5 hours by the time we got to Chichén-Itzá. The Mayan "blessing" was neat to see, but was clearly aimed at trying to sucker money out of people. After being invited into the hut, the "shaman" offered to cure both my wife and I of all our illness, all for $600 USD. When we said we weren't interested, he very quickly kicked us out of the tent. Although the cenote was nice, the 1hr there also includes the time you need to get changed both before and after, giving you maybe 30-40 mins in the actual water. Yes, it would nice, but nowhere near the right amount of time for a good visit. Finally, the shopping area was sketchy. People were nice, but they were certainly hustling and not paying attention to items you may have opted not to purchase, and still charged you for them anyway. We ended up paying $753 CAD for a mask and a handful of other items, when we know it should have been half that.
Final Thoughts:
If you are in Cancun and want to see Chichén-Itzá, I would go with a much smaller group, and be prepared for a very long drive. We left around 7am, and got back to the hotel at about 10pm. it's a long day. The only thing that made it worth it is crossing Chichén-Itzá off my bucket-list. Ultimately, the tour served its purpose, but I wouldn't do this one again.

Excellent tour guides and driver! Very knowledgeable, fantastic tours. Would recommend this tour and its guides Hector and Jimen and Santiago our driver.

Wonderful tour! Jimmy, Cecilia, and Miguel were an awesome crew. The only gripe with the tour is that we only had an hour at the Cenote which felt super rushed. Otherwise my friends and I had an amazing time!

The bus never showed up at the hotel, even after I confirmed my reservation. Missed the entire trip.

Too long of a day. They take you to a lot of unnecessary stops. 6:40am we took a shuttle from hotel to bus pick up location, they made us stand in the pouring rain while checking in, charged us an extra $45/person on top of what we already paid, then going to the bus made us walk through a huge puddle so our sneakers were soaked. I paid extra for premier ticket and got no drinks on the bus and no alcoholic drinks at the buffet which were supposed to be included. I told the tour guide and he told me basically it wasn’t his problem. The Mayan store (first stop) is a scam, you can get the same exact stuff at the temple for a fraction of the cost. They lie and say it’s handmade stuff. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM! At the end of it all the want tips, after you get scammed all day long. We were picked up at 6:40am and dropped off after 10pm, the buffet at our hotel was closed so we basically had no dinner. Seeing Chichén Itza is worth the ride but I would NOT recommend this tour/company specifically. The one good thing: Our tour guide at Chichén Itza (who was not the one we went on the bus with) was very good!

Excursion is closer to 14+ hours with 2.5 hrs wasted picking up others and transferring from one van to a bus. Little communication as to what was going one. Everyone was friendly but 90% Spanish was spoken so we were clueless. Wasted time meant that 2 activities were cut extremely short. Don’t buy mosquito spray pushed on the bus. You won’t need it. Also, if traveling with kids, the tour guy will collect the same amount of money for chichen itza even though kids under 13 are FREE (felt ripped off). Buffet lunch was great and tour guide for CI was fantastic.
