This was a birthday tour well spent! I learned a lot about Mayan history and the Chichen Itza. My daughter had a wonderful time learning, exploring, and being among the Mayans. We also enjoyed swimming in the Cenote!!

    Mexico excursion

It was an overall good experience, I enjoyed it even though it was long. The food was good and the cenote was relaxing.

Price gouging, minimal information on historical site.

Every time you turn around another person hired by this company wants money. Be prepared to pay for water including with you lunch. Choose another company.

The research paid off and this was by far the best price for the experience we received. Lots of things to see and do. It felt a bit rushed at each place. The buffet was all you can eat so long as you can eat your fill in about a 20 minute period…including standing in the line. It almost felt too much included in the trip. But our guide Lalo was fantastic and he gave us the history and background of the places we were visiting to help bring our experience into a better context. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

    Chitzhen itza trip

    Lorraine_K, Jan 2026
We went with tour guide Hector. He and his team were great. Telling everyone about the history of the Mayans on the bus. We stopped off for lunch at a Mayan village. Got blessed by the Chief. Ended up spending loads on ornaments (£300) At chitzan itsa we went with an English guide who told us long stories about the Mayans but it left about 20 minutes to run around snapping photos. Should've started taken them while he was talking. Then onto a cenote which was beautiful and refreshing. The last stop was a quick stop to the city. We had a picture taken in front of the church. After we were brought back to our hotel. Thank you to Hector and the crew. Sorry I only remembered Hector's name. It was a lovely day out.

A few hits and lots of misses

    Matthew_K, Dec 2025
Did this tour in late November of 2025. Had a mixed experience so I'm breaking it down here. The Good: Our guide at Chichén-Itzá was amazing. She gave a thorough history of all things related to the area. The ancient structures were amazing to see and I thoroughly enjoyed the time we had there. The Cenote was absolutely stunning and I loved being so far down but being able to see up to the sky. Would absolutely return to either of these locations. The OK: The provided lunch was fine, but certainly not anything to write home about. The visit to Valladolid was also nice, but we literally had 25 minutes there, at night, with virtually no time to really explore the area. The Bad: The drive there was terrible. The bus was incredibly uncomfortable, and what was advertised as a 2.5hr bus ride, was closer to 5 hours by the time we got to Chichén-Itzá. The Mayan "blessing" was neat to see, but was clearly aimed at trying to sucker money out of people. After being invited into the hut, the "shaman" offered to cure both my wife and I of all our illness, all for $600 USD. When we said we weren't interested, he very quickly kicked us out of the tent. Although the cenote was nice, the 1hr there also includes the time you need to get changed both before and after, giving you maybe 30-40 mins in the actual water. Yes, it would nice, but nowhere near the right amount of time for a good visit. Finally, the shopping area was sketchy. People were nice, but they were certainly hustling and not paying attention to items you may have opted not to purchase, and still charged you for them anyway. We ended up paying $753 CAD for a mask and a handful of other items, when we know it should have been half that. Final Thoughts: If you are in Cancun and want to see Chichén-Itzá, I would go with a much smaller group, and be prepared for a very long drive. We left around 7am, and got back to the hotel at about 10pm. it's a long day. The only thing that made it worth it is crossing Chichén-Itzá off my bucket-list. Ultimately, the tour served its purpose, but I wouldn't do this one again.

Wonderful tour! Jimmy, Cecilia, and Miguel were an awesome crew. The only gripe with the tour is that we only had an hour at the Cenote which felt super rushed. Otherwise my friends and I had an amazing time!

    Would not recommend

    Emily_F, Oct 2025
Too long of a day. They take you to a lot of unnecessary stops. 6:40am we took a shuttle from hotel to bus pick up location, they made us stand in the pouring rain while checking in, charged us an extra $45/person on top of what we already paid, then going to the bus made us walk through a huge puddle so our sneakers were soaked. I paid extra for premier ticket and got no drinks on the bus and no alcoholic drinks at the buffet which were supposed to be included. I told the tour guide and he told me basically it wasn’t his problem. The Mayan store (first stop) is a scam, you can get the same exact stuff at the temple for a fraction of the cost. They lie and say it’s handmade stuff. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM! At the end of it all the want tips, after you get scammed all day long. We were picked up at 6:40am and dropped off after 10pm, the buffet at our hotel was closed so we basically had no dinner. Seeing Chichén Itza is worth the ride but I would NOT recommend this tour/company specifically. The one good thing: Our tour guide at Chichén Itza (who was not the one we went on the bus with) was very good!

    Could have been better

    Lisa_S, Oct 2025
Excursion is closer to 14+ hours with 2.5 hrs wasted picking up others and transferring from one van to a bus. Little communication as to what was going one. Everyone was friendly but 90% Spanish was spoken so we were clueless. Wasted time meant that 2 activities were cut extremely short. Don’t buy mosquito spray pushed on the bus. You won’t need it. Also, if traveling with kids, the tour guy will collect the same amount of money for chichen itza even though kids under 13 are FREE (felt ripped off). Buffet lunch was great and tour guide for CI was fantastic.

    Amazing!

    gabriela_H, Sep 2025
The experience was wonderful, our guides were Luis, Gabriel and Carlos and they were helpful, attentive every step of the way. Carlos is very funny. We enjoyed it so much. They pick you up from your hotel, switch bus, and they take you to the destinations and bring you back to your hotel. Make sure you get the lux so that you can get all the extras. They give you a breakfast sandwich who’s is great cause they pick you up early and most hotels don’t have their breakfast open.

    overprice

    cathleen_p, Sep 2025
overpriced! my 2 kids entrance fee to chichen is free but this agency asked me to pay ca$60 each! we are family of 5.they let me cancel but dont have time to find other agency so i dont have a choice. i paid ca170 + ca60 each +tax so total ca$500. cost was so unfair

    Tips, Tips and More Tips

    marleny_s, Sep 2025
Guide translated the tour English and Spanish, however most of the time it was hard to understand either language. It was mostly a business tours, as we were offered a complimentary sunscreen and repellent, but when you request one it cost $11 dollars. the time at the Cenote was very short. Lunch was ok, however everyone was asking for a tip. Tips are earned not a payment for a no service provided. the time at Valladolid was also short and the information provided by the guide was fast and hard to understand. The tour was like a selling business

The ad was misleading! Your site didn’t tell me about extra fees until we got on the bus!

    jenny_p, Sep 2025
Bad we did not make the trip because your agent didn’t mentioned about any extra changes until we got on the bus! We went on vacation and not to pay lots to money! In the future! Please put on your the total price

This was good for adults but not for children. My kids were tired of staying long in the bus. Chichén itzá and grand cenote were good but Valladolid was not needed.

    Complete and total SCAM!!!

    Preston_H, Aug 2025
Horrible experience. We were brought to a crappy tourist trap where you’re sold “authentic Mayan pieces” that are sold for 20-50x their worth. The pieces claim to be hand made (theyre not) and come from “authentic Mayan families” (most likely don’t). We were charged $130 CAD for a purchase which we were told was only $6. We were not given a receipt either, so it’s almost impossible to win a dispute. The people in the shop are very pushy and won’t leave you alone. They kept handing me items and insisting I buy something from them, even going as far as forcing a basket onto me to buy multiple items. The included transport also requires that you pay on the day of transport. We chose the option that included 2 alcoholic drinks in our package and were gaslit and told we were only allowed to have non-alcoholic drinks. The food was okay and the guides were nice, but this whole experience is not worth it at all

Excellent Good guide of Chichen Itza. Tour guide Oscar has warm hospitality and good driver. Tour guide Jimmy speaks too fast. Whole arrangement is well planned and always provide free drinks including soft drinks beer alcohol under the dam hot weather.

    Great experience

    Elia_A, Jul 2025
Great experience! The bus picked us up at our hotel and from the very beginning the staff was friendly and polite. Eduardo was very knowledgeable throughout the trip , we learned so much from him alone. Roberto was also another tour guide, he was always checking in to make sure we were doing good, overall the trip was well worth every penny. My one only wish was that they could have extended the Cenote part of the trip, an hour there is not enough. We will definitely use this company again for future trips

Disorganized and Not Family-Friendly — Would Not Recommend for Kids

    Maria_A, Jul 2025
We left our hotel at 8:30 AM expecting a smooth, enjoyable tour, but the experience was far from that. We were mistakenly placed on a tour that included two cenotes, but we had only paid for one. No one informed us of this mistake until we arrived at the second cenote and were suddenly told we couldn't enter unless we paid extra. This was frustrating and showed how poorly organized the tour was. I also specifically requested an English-speaking guide, but the entire tour was conducted in Spanish, which made it hard for my kids (ages 6, 8, 12, and 16) to follow or enjoy the experience. The itinerary was extremely unbalanced: We spent hours on the bus. The stop at the Maya store was unnecessarily long and felt more like a sales stop. At Chichén Itzá, we had only about an hour, which felt incredibly rushed for such an important historical site. After leaving the cenote, we drove over an hour to Valladolid, only to be given 20 minutes to explore the town. Overall, this tour was not worth the long bus rides, rushed visits, and poor communication. If you're traveling with children, I highly recommend skipping this group tour and booking a private tour directly to Chichén Itzá. It will be more efficient, far less stressful, and much more enjoyable for everyone.

    Reasonable priced trip

    Leanne_B, Jul 2025
Great trip with good guides but prepare for a much longer day than stated - we were out for 15hrs rather than 12 1/2hrs. This was due to over 2 and a half hours being spent picking people up before we even began our excursion. So more time was spent on the bus than at the activities. Fair price for the trip and the staff were very friendly. Despite being advertised as multiple language (and us choosing the English language tour), it was mostly conducted in Spanish so we missed important information throughout the day and didn't get a guide at Chichen Itza. We also didn't have the drink option as advertised eg only one drink at lunch rather than the 2 stated in my booking, and there was an additional 5% service charge if you pay the tax by card, even a debit which is unfair. This fee was only mentioned in a WhatsApp message the evening before the tour and it said it was for credit, NOT debit.

Loved that they communicated what time they were expecting to pick us up from Our hotel. Very hospitable! Alfredo Always offering drinks throughout the trip. Hector was very informative, And the driver was a very safe driver! The tour itself was amazing! The Cenote was unbelievable! Definitely a must do!

    experience you simply can’t miss

    Mary_D, Jun 2025
The journey was long, but truly unforgettable. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable, making the trip even more enjoyable. At the end, they surprised everyone on the bus with a shot of tequila and some Mexican bread—a thoughtful and sweet gesture. Our first stop was a buffet lunch, though the food was just okay. Visiting Chichen Itza was absolutely incredible! Be sure to bring a spray bottle with cold water and an umbrella—the heat is intense, and misting your face and neck makes a big difference. The cenote was a refreshing highlight. However, it’s involves going down several steps, so it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Our final stop was the Plaza, rounding out an amazing day. Overall, this is an experience you simply can’t miss!

    Poorly run tour

    Dwayne_D, May 2025
Paid for premier services but got stuck in a mini van crowded with 12 passengers. No washroom, little beverages available for the first 5 hrs, multiple pickups, poorly organized operators who seemed interested in counting their tips instead of their passengers commitments. I would suggest you do not use this operator or tour.

    Food 10/10 Experiences 10/10 Time management 5/10

    Stephanie_P, May 2025
Be prepared because it will be a long day!! We got picked up at Barcelo Maya Colonial at 9AM and didn’t return back till 9:45PM. It was a full and long day. Most of the day is on the bus and between all 4 things the most time was spent at the Chichen itza. The Food was amazing 10/10 and so was the experiences. However I wish I was more prepared and realized sooner it would take a whole day.. only because they have to pickup other people as well and drop them off. The stops was about 2hrs away from where my hotel was. So before you book, please map it out and decide from there if this is the tour you’d want to go on compared to others. We did the The Cenote third and the tour guides rushed this, it was 40-50 minutes, however when you factor in the changing clothes and waiting for life vests and etc it does take time so it’s like you’re basically enjoying the actual cenote for maybe 20 minutes..

    Money well spent

    Nicola_B, May 2025
This is an all day activity; from 7AM until 9PM. It is worth the money. Jorge is a character. He was also very knowledgeable. We were served drinks all day on the bus. The lunch was good too and came with entertainment. YOU DO NOT NEED THE BUG SPRAY. I would definitely do this again.
