Good guide, scary driver.

Mary_H, Jan 2025
The tour guide Jesus was great, helpful and knowledgeable. After lunch our driver appeared to be inebriated he almost ran into some reflective barriers, had both hands off the wheel as we drifted into oncoming traffic, and was texting while driving. He got lost several times, was flashing his brights at other vehicles, exhibiting road rage. Driving over 150km/h in a 110 area. The drive back was truly scary.

Wonderful day at a Wonder of the World

Glenn_P, Dec 2024
Family of four, private tour from Costa Mujeres to Chichen Itza. Jose Manuel is a very knowledgeable and accommodating tour guide who showed us a great time and took good care of us. Our driver (Andrian?) was very good. I chose a private tour because my wife and daughter get nauseas easily on tour buses on windy and bumpy roads, and I'm happy with my choice. However, for the additional price that I paid, over the tour bus, I wish the car had been a bit bigger. My son and I (the largest of our group) sat in the back row (because the women needed to sit further up where they'd be less nauseas) and had zero legroom for a 3 hour drive. It was not comfortable, but we survived. Chichen Itza was amazing, and then we were taken to a Cenote for lunch and a swim. We were told in advance (from the tour description) that we were going to Ik Kil, but then I looked on the map and saw that we were travelling away from Ik Kil. When I asked about it, Jose told us that he was taking us to Cenote Saamal instead because Ik Kil was too crowded. I can't compare the two because this was our first Cenote, but Saamal was lovely and the food was adequate. My 20 yo son says it was the best buffet food he had on vacation, so maybe I was missing something! In the end, because of the amount of time we spent at CI and the Cenote, we asked to skip Valladolid because we wanted to be back at the resort for dinner, and Jose was very accomodating. We were picked up at 7:45 and brought back to the resort for 19:00. The day would have been even more perfect with a larger more comfortable car and more transparency about which Cenote we were going to so that we would not be disappointed (having looked at the photos and reviews of Ik Kil and getting excited about it).

Thank you so much for your comments we really appreciate and that help us to improve a better service and definitely in the future we will mentioned the option of different cenotes with not confirming an specific one since we took you to Saamal to avoid the crowd but definitely understand your point and that you has hoping to visit the other one. In the future if you need us we will be more than happy to help you.

Wonderful day!
