    Worst experience ever

This was the worst tour I have ever taken. First off this is a gimmick tour to lour you to get u to buy this tour. Has nothing to do with kids even though they are free. they also did not take off until 11, it's advertised as take off at 1030. Then the drinks are the worst! Its juice with a splash of alcohol. You do get a catamaran buy there are no actual seats, you get to sit anywhere on the floor. The snorkeling was also super bad. The guy is just focused on completing the route and doesn't really say where there are good places to see fish or snorkel. They also anchor at a spot pretty far away from any actual reef and your pretty much swimming very far away to get back on the boat you never get to rest to actually snorkel. Then we went to get lunch where they serve hotdogs, hotdogs, nachos, chicken fajitas, and some fish filete....the fish filet and chicken weren't too bad but the rest was nasty. To top things off the captain said to be back at 420 to meet up. He never mentioned take off time. We have 3 kids and things happend, we got back at 428 and the boat was already about 30 feet away from the dock!!!!! Didn't even wait 10 minutes for any late passengers. He should of at least said they would leave by 425. So we had to pay for a ferry back. DO NOT BOOK THIS!!!!! IF ANYTHING UR BETTER OF JUST GETTING ROUND TRIP FERRY AND SAVING YOURSELF $250. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

    Terrible

    W_L, Jun 2025
I recently booked a family tour online out of Cancún, and I absolutely would not recommend it to anyone. Here's why this tour was such a letdown: Pre-Tour Hassles & Hidden Costs From the start, things were a mess. Finding the tour agent was a challenge, and nobody seemed to know which company they even represented. Then came the shocker: despite purchasing our tickets online, we were hit with a mandatory $45 USD cash-only dock fee per person. If you wanted to pay by credit card, the price was even higher, and their Mexican peso exchange rate was a dismal 1:20. To top it off, we overheard another family in front of us saying they weren't charged this same fee, which felt incredibly unfair. A Day of Delays & Disappointment The tour was an hour late to depart because the front desk was actively waiting for more walk-in customers. This delay significantly cut into our time on the island. The entire itinerary was nothing like what was advertised online. Our bilingual tour guide spoke Spanish about 80% of the time and English only 20%, leaving us often confused and out of the loop. We were forced to sit in direct sunlight the whole trip, with no access to shade, which resulted in some nasty sunburns. The journey itself was much longer than stated, taking two hours to reach the island from Cancún and an hour and a half for the return trip. Part of that extra time (about 30 minutes) was spent waiting for snorkelers to come back. And speaking of snorkeling, it required strong swimming skills; non-swimmers weren't allowed in the water, leaving them stuck on the dock, baking in the sun. By the time we finally made it to the island, we had a measly hour and 50 minutes for lunch, swimming, and shopping. The onboard bathrooms (men's and ladies') were tiny and had a terrible, strong diesel smell. Lunch was very basic: watermelon, tacos, hot dogs, and a few drinks. To add to the frustrations, a photographer on board was aggressively pushing a package of 10 digital photos and some printed copies for $45 USD, with prices varying for locals versus foreign tourists. We got back at 5:30 PM. The initial hour-long delay meant less time on the island than promised. This company was disorganized, consistently behind schedule, and didn't deliver on its promises. Save yourself the headache and the sunburn—avoid this tour at all costs.

    Response from Host, Jun 2025

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations, but we’d like to clarify some important details for context. 1. Dock Fee Transparency: The dock fee is a government-imposed charge applicable to all passengers, and it is clearly stated on the tour listing before checkout. This fee is not included in the online payment and is collected directly at the marina. It applies equally to all guests—no one is exempt. We are not responsible for other families’ arrangements or misunderstandings. We also provide guests the option to pay in USD, pesos, or by card, with the exchange rate clearly posted. 2. Departure Time & Delays: Our boats operate on schedule, but occasionally, slight delays may occur due to safety checks, weather conditions, or accommodating late guests. However, all guests board the catamaran and enjoy the full route and activities as advertised. 3. Guides & Language: Our guides always provide bilingual service, alternating between Spanish and English to serve a diverse group. We regret if the balance wasn’t ideal for you, and we are addressing this with our team to ensure better pacing. 4. Shade & Comfort: All catamarans are equipped with shaded areas, though these can fill up quickly depending on guest preferences. We encourage early boarding to choose the best spots. 5. Travel Time & Activities: The catamaran trip to Isla Mujeres can take between 1 to 1.5 hours depending on sea conditions and activity logistics (e.g., snorkeling stops). Non-swimmers are always welcome to relax on board or enjoy the dock, and snorkeling is always optional. 6. Food & Services: We provide a light lunch as described (tacos, hot dogs, fruit, drinks), included in the package. Photography services are optional and clearly priced; no guest is obligated to purchase them. We strive to deliver memorable, safe, and enjoyable experiences to all families. We regret your visit didn’t meet your expectations, but we delivered the complete tour as advertised. We remain committed to improving our service and guest communication. Sincerely,
