What To Expect

Book this hassle-free transfer to get you and your group straight from Chiquila port to Cancun airport. Just find your shuttle at the meeting point at the port when you disembark your ferry from Holbox island, then board your minivan and get settled in.

This shared shuttle service has several departure times, so you’ll easily find one that will coincide with your ferry and flight times.

Your reservation includes one 55-pound (25-kilogram) piece of luggage, but if you have more you can make arrangements.

Your driver will take you directly to Terminal 2 at the Cancun airport.

It’s also possible to book this transfer in reverse: from Cancun airport to the port of Chiquila.

Does what it says on the tin but really quite uncomfortable. The van was extremely small and it was full so there was absolutely no room to move, we were also sent a picture of the van the day before and then a different van turned up which caused a bit of confusion. Otherwise ok.

Good experience - the only stressful part is finding the free shuttle to terminal 2 (don’t listen to anyone who doesn’t work for the airport: touts LIE to you). Otherwise no stress way to get to Isla Holbox/Chiquila.

Giving 4 stars because he just left us at any terminal and kind just unloaded all luggage quickly, then we had to figure out how to get to our correct terminal. Also, if you are over 5'6 good luck, very cramped. I will say communication was excellent.

The driver gave me a notification via WhatsApp the day before the trip, and he confirmed which ferry we were taking so that he could make sure we would be able to arrive at the pick up spot on time. This gave me a big comfort. Also, the van was kept clean and the trip was smooth.

I had my reservation 4/15 at 9am to leave fromchiquila to Cancun . Roads were extremely bumpy which I understand but the driver drove so fast that everyone in the van was swinging from side to side . I was scared for my life!!!!

Holbox Express Only Goes to Terminal 2 (Check your options!)

Be careful and read their fine print. We booked the shuttle van, from ChiqilaHolbox, to the Cancun airport. They dropped us off at Cancun Airport-terminal 2, which was not our terminal. We were then subject to the vultures axi companies, trying to tell us it's a 30-minute wait for the shuttle and it'll make multiple stops. etc. All in an effort to extort our last dollars. ($60, then 40 for a 2-minute ride!) When the other terminal was literally a 10-minute walk. I texted Holbox express asking them to take us to our terminal. They stated they would not take us to our terminal and sent me the agreement instead.

Great service back and forth from holbox to the airport. I would definitely use them again. Getting to the pickup location at the airport is a little bit of a pain if you land at terminal 2, but still pretty easy to find since most signs are in english and Spanish.

The road to Chiquilá was very bumpy - not sure if driver took a short cut. The ride home was quicker and much smoother . Overall it got us there and back. The drivers were efficient and nice but were not talkative and/or informative as we are used to with Happy Shuttle.

A straightforward trip from Chiquila to the Cancun airport. Spacious, clean and air conditioned van. I’d recommend also considering ride transportations from one of the beach stands in Holbox - would’ve paid half the price of this one.

Convenient but Dissapointing

Convenient but Disappointing. From the moment the driver pulled up, he was unfriendly, unwilling to communicate and very hard to understand. Starving and ready to relax, we had just finished purchasing food to enjoy on our 2+ hour car ride back to Cancun which he also refused to let us eat any of inside the vehicle. Depriving your hungry travelers the ability to eat or drink for almost 3 hours is absolutely absurd and unnecessary. Nothing was posted anywhere about this ridiculous policy inside the van or in the description when we originally booked. This is unacceptable.

I originally booked a solo shuttle when I reached Cancun Airport to take me to Chiquila. I booked a shared shuttle for my return to save some money and regretted it. I was squished against the window in the back row with three other people. It was not a relaxing ride at all. After two hours, I reached the airport with tightness in my body. By the way, I am not on the big side, and neither were the other passengers. In my opinion, three people per row would've been more comfortable for us all. Everyone gets dropped off at Gate 1, so if your flight is leaving from another gate, you'll have to take a shuttle at the airport to it. Overall, book if you are trying to save money but don't be surprised if you are packed in like a sardine.
