We booked this private tour for our group of 10 to see the pyramids and it was a good decision especially with out guide being Ahmed Hamdy. He paced the trip according to our needs, explained everything very nicely and helped take great pictures as well. We also took the additional option of going inside the Great Pyramid (900 EGP per adult, 450 EGP for Child/Students with ID card). Ahmed had given us an unbiased recommendation of not taking it for a good reason, but we did. While we did not regret it (it's a different feeling being inside the main chamber of the Great Pyramid), we fully understood the difficulty of getting inside only when we went in. There was already a very long queue outside, then a tunnel like walkway of 50 -60 metres and then an extremely small (probably 4 feet height by 4 feet wide) wooden inclined ramp (without steps, only some slats 2 feet apart to hold feet) for about 30 metres. Think of stairs with a height of about 70 steps on angle of 45 degrees. And there are people going and coming at the same time. IT IS INDEED VERY CLAUSTROPHOBIC and HOT. Would still recommend if you have the nerves to do it. The flip side was that we spent less time at the Sphinx. We also took the Camel Ride with the Panaroma where you can take pictures on the Camel with the 3 pyramids in the background. This was also a good experience. Would suggest this even if you have done Camel rides elsewhere and would recommend this isntead of the horse carriage. Both are priced the same. The Camel handlers have become super good at taking pictures, so just go with the flow (they make you do funny poses indeed 😉)

Great excursion. Hazem was a really nice guide. Also very good at taking pictures! He took us to the more quiet places which we really enjoyed.

It was a great tour and our tour guide gave details about the City's history and all the details about Pyramids. He also took many pics for us and avoided hagglers. Then we were taken to Oil/Perfume shop as our last stop, before dropping us back.
