Farouk is the best. What a great tour of the old market with great Koshary at Abu Tarek in downtown Cairo. The best of the best.
2 options 1. Egyptian products or 2 Chinese products. Was very interesting negotiating process. But overall a very informative and enjoyable afternoon. Ahmed was great.
We enjoyed our tour. Aladdin was friendly and can speak English very well. The only minor suggestion is for him to spend more time on describing each experience. For instance, while we enjoyed sipping on Egyptian tea, we would have liked to learn more about the tea that we were drinking. We also would have liked to hear more about the mosques.
Great tour! It was Ranadan and many shops weren't open but guide made it enjoyable and we visited several mosques and a wealth of information. Lunch was also great!
Tito was a very gracious host. I enjoyed the great shopping opportunities and a chance to learn about the Egyptian culture. Lunch on the Nile River was absolutely amazing.
Had a good time with Mohamed on tour of Old Market and Souq. We arrived around 9:30am when the market and souq was not super crowded which was a great for us. Mohamed, was helpful and accommodating.
Tour guide had limited English when we booked an English guide. Very disappointed that the Souks were closed on Sunday. Guide did get us a good deal at the bazaar.
The local soups were interesting,
however since it was Ramadan many shops and eateries were closed. Our tour operator was friendly and polite but didn’t have a full schedule for us and brought us back after 3 hours instead of the 4. We returned an hour earlier but paid for 4 hours. This is not recommended during Ramadan .

Walid was a great guide. Really felt like I experienced Egypt. Sat and people watched from a cafe in the bazaar and ate koshari in downtown Cairo. Highly recommend
Had a wonderful experience seeing the old city, mosques, and the market places. Jesse, our tour guide, was fantastic! Very bubbly and joyful, was fantastic to talk to and answered all the questions we had. Be prepared if you are not used to crowded places. Did a little shopping, mostly souvenirs.
This was a very interesting tour! Nader our guide was very knowledgeable and took us through a detailed history of the locations. He also gave us a lot of helpful information about how to shop the markets and what to look for in terms of quality. Would recommend if you want an authentic experience.
We enjoyed this tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful as we navigated through the market. We ended the tour with Egyptian tea (our own expense) near the market. Recommended!
I expected more markets and nice place for lunch. I visited the bazaar for 1,5 hours max and had lunch in a fastfood restaurant. No value for the amount of money.
Zain was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and accommodating, and I really enjoyed the day. I learned a lot about the history of Cairo from Zain as we walked through the city, and visited several mosques, the markets, and shops that produced and sold Egyptian goods such as brass crafts, papyrus, and cotton products. We stopped for a refreshing cane drink, and lunch was tasty. In fact we ran over time, and our driver drove extra hard to get me back in time for another commitment. This was definitely the way to see Cairo for the first time traveling alone. Highly recommended.
Ahmed was AMAZING! He was so protective of us 3 women. When they tried to get over on me he stopped it and the other Egyptians we’re unhappy as though he should’ve been on their side. He would tell us when not to get something because of the quality vs just lining someone else’s pockets. The bazaar was huge and had the same thing everywhere. We also got an Egyptian staple which was Kushari, didn’t look appetizing, but definitely was. Was soooooo good!
I had a lovely, relaxing afternoon being guided around some of the local markets and souqs in Cairo with a terrific, enthusiastic guide, Mahmoud Afifi. It was a charming, informative afternoon during which he showed me the market area and what it was like prior to opening and then contrasted that quiet atmosphere with the hustle and bustle, vibrant, colorful atmosphere during peak selling period. It was a lot of fun and Mahmoud was super informative, prompt, courteous, friendly, and a good photographer too. While I took three of those pictures included in this review, he took one of me and it turned out quite well. I am happy to recommend this tour to anybody visiting Egypt for the first time.
I was truly disappointed in this excursion, as I wanted to go to the souk/market to do some shopping. I mostly got a lecture on Islam-I love learning about other cultures-but this was not what I paid for! I felt extremely rushed. I felt truly ripped off!
We enjoyed our day with Osama! Please request him as your guide if you are considering this or any tour with this company. Osama was knowledgeable, personable, and passionate. We learned a lot about the culture of the city and had a lot of fun while doing so. Osama went out of his way to ensure we got the experience we wanted to have. We also felt very safe as Osama and his driver navigated the community and our interactions with the local community.
Mohamed was the best, we went to some local markets and visited all types of local and cultural shops and In the end of the tour we had some amazing food for lunch, I definitely recommend!!

Seeing the every day life of people in Cairo. Just to experience another culture so closely was awesome. I loved everything about the trip. Osama, Mohammed and Kareem were excellent guides.
Late arrival to the market. Made to many unnecessary stops on the way to the market and the group was to large to stay together with 2 tour guides. Only spent about 45min to 1hr before having to leaving.
My tour guide was Omar and he was able to navigate me through the old markets. He knew what I was looking for and took me to the right places. He is very familiar with the area and at the end of the tour, Omar took me to the highlight of the market...CAIRO's Oldest Cafe!!! Morgan Freeman and Beyonce went to this quaint tiny cafe!! Glad he took me there! Thank you, OMAR!!!
Not recommended. Didn't find classic souvenirs I was looking for or they all looked old and very limited choices which didn't look authentic nor fir keeps
Guide was great and allowed us to tour the bazaar and shop at our own pace. Felt very safe the whole time.
My guide, Amir is incredible. He is knowledgeable and truly loves sharing his country. I learned a great amount of information. I will always remember Amir and his kindness towards me. We share our humanity!
I am traveling with 3 ladies. Our guide Moshan (spelling?) was very good. He was very knowledgeable and took great care of us. As we are a little older he was very solicitous to make sure the pace was as we liked it. The bazaar itself is fascinating, but be forewarned that there is a lot of walking over uneven surfaces so make sure you wear comfortable shoes with plenty of cushion.
The market is a huge labyrinth of stores - nice to have an introduction to it before venturing into it on my own.
