Great day trip, not enough time!

This was a very interesting trip! Happy we did it! we would’ve liked a little more free time! Too much time spent on things that did not interest us. If you take this tour, ask to meet back at the bus at a certain time and enjoy your day.

Day Trip to Todos Santos

I wasn't sure what to expect in Todos Santos. The driver/guide was excellent. We were picked up on right on time and he took care of us very well. The trip was long from San Jose del Cabo, and Todos Santos was not as big or interesting as I would have liked. The tour's focus is on the arts and crafts of the area so each stop had a shopping opportunity. I am glad I did it but would not do it again. We had a great lunch at a recommended place on our free time.

Good for solo travellers

Went as a solo traveller. Guide was friendly, and told us lots of interesting things about Mexico as a local. History, politics, crime, and everything in between. He never strayed into uncomfortable conversation, and instead kept it interesting and factual. Safe driver - didn’t tailgate or brake in sudden hard lurches. Todos Santos is a shopping town, that nearly uses pesos exclusively. Have cash. Expect a chocolate demonstration, and a pearl demonstration that pressures you to buy. Can’t opt out.

A nice day trip. Pick-up at the hotel was a nice feature. Small group. Our guide, Mario was wonderful, shared lots of information about the Baja on our way to Todo Santos. Once in Todo Santos he took us to chocolate tasting, tequila tasting and a pearl shop. Had time on our own to have lunch (Tequila Sunrise) and then visit the church.

This was a great excursion to Todos Santos. I was considering the long one (11 hours) that also goes to LaPaz but afterreading the reviews, I'm happy that I chose this one. It was an hour long drive each way with a stop at a blanket makers. These blankets are 100% better than you find from the vendors in Cabo. The material is cotton, not acrylic and they have some with beautiful designs. And they're handmade! They'll even let you have a go on the machine if you ask! I didn't buy this time because I didnt have space in my luggage to get one home, but I'll be back next year with a bigger suitcase and will book this excursion again just to get a blanket. The guide was very friendly. He spoke English which I read was an issue with one of the other companies. The group was small (only 5 of us) so it gave opportunity to ask questions and really engage.

Carlos was the best guide you can hope for. His knowledge was amazing as well as his ability to keep everyone engaged. He took his time and never felt rushed.

Driver was 30 minutes late (traffic possibly. Questioned us if we knew what we signed up for further delayed tour starting. Was only suppose to spend 2 hours of free time but it was 2.5 hours which was too long.

Last Day in Cabo Activity

The driver was running a little late for pick up. We were notified immediately, which was very nice. Our guide was wonderful! He shared history of the area on our drive to Todos Santos as well as many fun facts. Once we arrived, he shared information, history and tips for places to eat and shop. We really enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to others interested in seeing other parts of the peninsula.

Disappointed about not getting in Hotel California. Velvet box was good and the tequila tasting was excellent. We found an excellent restaurant for lunch. Mario was a wonderful tour guide.

Very nice trip with Vicente. We appreciated the historic and cultural information Vicente gave on the drive and his ability to answer any questions we had. Loved the stops at the weaving place and my husband especially liked the tequila tasting! We had a nice time eating and strolling the streets of Todos Santos as well as doing a little shopping.

Mario is a great, super friendly, engaging, considerate , and warm guide! He shared great knowledge along the way. This is a great day tour - nice scenic drive, enough time in town, lots of places to eat and shop. It is quite charming and full of great buys. We ate brunch at Oyestra, and it did not disappoint! The tequila tasting is quite good!

Great guide, lloved the agriculture stop, enjoyed the tequila tasting and histor , enjoyed the free time, Pearl stop- what a story! Needed more information on exactly pickup place in a big resort. The agricultural stop had a nice eating area, might be a good stop for lunch.

Beautiful town. Our driver Mario was wonderful! Lots of small shops for souvenirs and if you are looking for authentic tacos, this is where you could get food for $40 usd a person or $4 a person. Your choice. We had a lovely time!

Knowledgeable guide (Uriel). And he was very friendly. I do not like that we have to stop at stores they have some kind of agreement with. It feels like wasted time.

We also have available private tours around the Baja which allows you to decide the best way to spend the time around the areas, we appreciate your understanding. Thank you.

A drive to Todos Santos, cluttered with unwanted additional stops.

We had previously taken a tour to Todos Santos and were disappointed to discover that the ride also included time-wasting stops at a rug factory, a tequila tasting, and a jewelry shop when all we really wanted was a ride to Todos Santos and back. For THIS tour, I made a point of booking a tour that described itself as ONLY a ride to Todos Santos and back, with no mention of those other stops that did not interest us. I was pleased to see a negative review that complained that the tour was ONLY a ride. That was exactly what we wanted. Unfortunately, this tour DID include a stop at the rug factory, tequila tasting, et cetera, leaving us with relatively little time (3 hours) in Todos Santos. We should have just rented a car. On the plus side, the tequila tasting is now in town, rather than on the way, so we were able to simply walk away when the van stopped there and get on with our visit to this charming little town. If you're only interested in going to Todos Santos and back, I'd recommend renting a car or finding another tour.

Loved the guided tour of Todos Santos!

I have been to Todos Santos before, but this time my friend and I elected to take a guided tour. Signing up/paying was a breeze. The tour van showed up at our hotel exactly as was stated in the package and instructions. Our driver Uriel was informative and answered all our questions. Instead of just driving through as I'd done in the past, Uriel pointed out the oasis locations that have served the locals for generations. He explained how the local people feel about "progress" and adding modern amenities (hint: many prefer the less stressful historic ways and remain off the grid). We stopped at a place where they use looms to make blankets and other woven items. That was fascinating. It was clear that he was proud of the area and his life in this area. He drove us to Todos Santos and showed up the historical sites and then set us free for lunch/shopping/etc. Having a guide made the trip stress free, informative and fun. Thanks Uriel for a memorable tour of Todos Santos!

Nice tour to get a little something different

We enjoyed our tour very much. Getting out of Cabo San Lucas to see a different area was great and Todos Santos was much more relaxed and less aggressive in the sales approaches from shops. We got to see a good number of things - a mission, a tequila tasting, a pearl farm's in town store, the Hotel California. Dionicio gave some good highlights about the area on our drive - agriculture, history, water access, food. It was all very interesting. My only sort of criticism is it felt a little "by the seat of my pants" in the agenda. One tequila place was closed so he went to another one. He mentioned a rug place, but we never went. Everything we saw and did was fun, but that was a little odd.

We had a great guide for the trip. Lots of time to wander around the town. There is a mix of high and art and regular tourist stuff. Nobody doing the hard sell. Lots of great places for lunch. A very good day trip.

Enjoyed our guides commentary about Baja California. Learned a lot. The stop at the blanket weaving was fascinating. The guy who lead us through the tequila tasting was so knowledgeable. Everyone was just so so kind. Enjoyed the history lesson on Todos Santos and walking around the center of town, public art around every corner. It’s great to get out and see something other than the resorts. Thank you for a great day out.. We were back at the resort by 3:30.

The van ride was good Jose giving a nice guide of the area. basically high priced artsy stuff and a lot of high priced tourist junk. Hotel California is actually closed - no restaurant or hotel. You have about 3 hours to walk around town but nothing has air conditioning and it was very hot!
