Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the beautiful scenery and had a great experience.
It’s great to know your tour guide made a positive impact. Hope to welcome you back again soon!

The ATV’s were fun but they have an add on fee of 50 per person for a resort fee, then if anyone needs an automatic because they don’t know how to operate a manual transmission ATV then you have to upgrade your ATV. Then they also charge you for additional vehicle and then personal insurance. Overall I was upcharged 150 dollars, double the original price. Had I known this I would have reconsidered. Definitely not going back and I would think twice and seek as much clarification as possible about the price before booking.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We’re sorry to hear that your experience felt more expensive than expected and that the additional costs were not clear at the time of booking. We understand how frustrating it can be when upgrades and required fees are not fully anticipated, and we recognize the importance of transparent communication before arrival.
In general, certain elements such as park access fees, insurance, and vehicle type (manual vs. automatic) can affect the final price depending on the selection and availability. However, these should always be clearly explained in advance, and we regret if that was not your experience.
Your comments are important and will be shared with our team to improve clarity in the booking process and with our partners.
We would like to review your case in more detail. Please contact us at community@cactustours.com
with your booking information so we can assist you further.

We purchased 6 tickets for the ATV tour at 4pm. As soon as we booked, they started upselling for a private tour for an additional $35 per person. They picked us up at 3:30pm, driver was safe. When we arrived, there were a huge line, full of people with purchased tickets waiting to sign in. We waited an hour in that line for them to try to upsell us —$25 per person for park pass (it’s a public beaxh), $25 per person for insurance (this is a business that should have its own insurance for the vehicle), $25 personal injury insurance (urgent care immediately as you enter). If you want to waive the insurance, it’s a $750 deposit. I found all of this offensive and unnecessary. Since they have a captive audience, they have a gift shop, food shop, tequila tasting are, clothing store, so you can spend more money there. We chose some $6 sodas and waters. The bathrooms were clean. Both pick up and drop off you’re going to kill time because they fill the bus to the brim with so many stops. By the time we got to the front of the line with our waiver, it was 5:10pm, then another 20 minutes for them to accumulate 20 people to be on your tour. So, 5:30pm, we head out to ATV & the sun sets at 6pm. The 2.5 hour tour was mostly in the dark, so the beach and sunset views were limited. Our tour guide was decent but it was a slow tour. ATV’s were in good shape. No pictures available for tours that happen in the dark. When you finish, they try to push their tequila tasting. More time wasted on waiting for the bus and a milllion stops on the way home. Our driver was very kind and safe. This is the most offensive tour I’ve ever had. We have ATV toured at others & you literally sign the waver, they hand you a water bottle + gear & you get going. Will not return. Total tourist trap, bait and switch. Entirely unapologetic. This was a terrible experience

Hi, thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about your experience.
We are truly sorry to hear that your visit did not meet your expectations and that the timing, wait periods, and overall flow of the tour left you feeling frustrated. We understand how important it is for our guests to feel well informed, comfortable, and valued throughout the entire experience.
Regarding the additional charges you mentioned, these correspond to mandatory park access and optional insurance options that are presented at check-in. We apologize if the procedure was not explained thoroughly or clearly and this led to any misunderstanding.
We also appreciate your comments about the timing of the tour and the sunset, as well as your kind words about our driver and the condition of the ATVs. Your feedback is extremely valuable and helps us identify areas where we can improve our operations and guest experience.
We would like the opportunity to learn more about your visit and review your case in detail. Please feel free to send us a direct message or email us at community@cactustours.com with your name and date of visit. We genuinely value your opinion.

Our teens had so much fun driving through the desert and onto the beach. We had a great guide and were the only ones in our group.
Desiree_R, Jan 2026
Lots of hidden fees
Can’t drive unless your 16 years old
Doesn’t state anything about $45 per riders for each ATV. Was a lot of money extra to get in
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand how frustrating it is when additional costs are not clearly perceived from the beginning, and we truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
We would like to clarify that age requirements are in place for safety reasons and are designed to protect both our guests and our staff. Regarding additional fees, rider fees and park entrance fees are displayed during the booking process on our official sales channels, and we always recommend reviewing the full information on our official website before booking to have complete clarity.
That said, we fully understand that if this information is not clearly noticed or explained, it can feel like hidden fees and negatively impact the experience. Transparency is very important to us, and our pricing is aligned with the standard of the destination.
We would like to review your case in detail to better understand how the charges were presented and applied, and to ensure that the information was communicated clearly. Additionally, we would like to review how your reservation was handled. Our official sales channels are our website and social media platforms, and if your booking was made through an external vendor or agent, we would like to investigate this as well to ensure accurate and clear information is being provided.
We would be happy to follow up with you. If you’re open to it, please contact us at community@cactustours.com
with your full name, reservation number, tour date, and where you made your booking so we can properly review your experience.
Thank you again for your feedback. It truly helps us improve.
ZYLIZA_W, Dec 2025
The experience itself is good. However, there are additional charges that we have to make like the national park fee of $25 each person. Otherwise we will not be able to do the activities we signed up for. Also, they will also try to sell you an upgrade in the ATV as the one listed on the Viator site they said was manual and not automatic. So they will try to get you by offering a cheaper price for the activity and you’ll end up paying more.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Hello, very good morning 😊
We wish you a wonderful start to the year.
We recommend all our visitors visit our website, where you can find detailed information about our tours and everything related to the park entrance.
It will be our pleasure to help you with any questions you may have!
Gopi_A, Dec 2025
There were a lot of hidden fees they were asking for fees to upgrade the ATV ,fees to enter the park, fees for insurance .I felt it was like a baiting switch
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Hello, we hope you’re doing well.
We understand what you’re sharing and truly appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We recommend that all our visitors review the information about our tours directly on our official website before booking: https://cactustours.com
.
We would also like to learn more about the situation you experienced. If it’s not too much trouble, could you please share your full name, reservation number, and the date of your visit by email at community@cactustours.com
? This will help us review your case in more detail and provide proper followup.
Thank you for your time, and we look forward to hearing from you.

Great experience. Our guide Leon was absolutely fantastic!!! Only negative was no water was provided and you are out in the heat on ATV’s for 2 hrs so I wish we’d have been provide that with our activity and not been made to but it .
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Hi Lisa!
We’re so happy to know that your Side-by-Side and Camel experiences were both incredible and unique. Reading messages like yours truly inspires us to keep creating unforgettable adventures.
And thank you for mentioning the water we do have hydration stations throughout the park, but we appreciate you bringing this up. We’ll make sure our team pays closer attention to these details so every guest feels fully supported during their tour.

I truly wish I could give more stars, but the only one goes to our amazing guide, Luis (Luigi). He did everything he could within the limited time we had and made the best of a disappointing situation.
That said, the overall experience felt like a scam.
If you’re an experienced rider, please know this is a very slow-paced trail ride — minimal speed, minimal excitement, and mostly just about the scenery. The beach was beautiful, and we were lucky enough to see whales, which was the highlight of the ride. Luis also pointed out some interesting sights along the way, which we appreciated.
However, the organization and communication from the company were extremely poor.
We were offered an “upgrade” to a private tour with promises of being able to go faster and use our phones for photos. Unfortunately, it wasn’t worth it. You’re only allowed to take selfies during a quick stop, and the guides cannot take photos for you. Instead, they take their own photos with nice cameras — which cost $20 per photo or over $100 for 8–10 pictures. Many of these turned out blurry, tilted, or low-quality (a few were decent, and yes, I did purchase some, but the quality is hit or miss).
The biggest issue was the lack of transparency with pricing.
When I asked multiple times through the app what my total charge would be for the upgrade, the responses were vague and avoided giving a clear number. Based on what was communicated — and confirmed by others I showed it to — I expected a much lower cost. I ended up being charged $150 more than what I was led to believe.
To make matters worse, they even charged me twice for that large, unexpected amount. One charge posted, and another is still pending.
We were about 10 minutes late for pickup, but that didn’t matter — the company’s driver was 35 minutes late themselves. The tequila tasting portion was also a disappointment; it was more of a sales pitch than an actual tasting.
Overall, this was a very poor experience and not worth the money. I’ve traveled to many countries and booked numerous experiences through this same app, but this one was by far the most disappointing.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thank you for sharing your feedback and for recognizing Luis we’re glad his effort added something positive to your experience.
We sincerely apologize that your visit did not meet your expectations. We understand your concerns and appreciate your honesty, as it helps us identify areas where we can improve to ensure every guest enjoys a better experience.
We’ve already identified your reservation and would like to take a closer look at your case to see how we can make it right for you. Please contact us directly at onlinereservations@cactusatvtours.com
so that our team can personally assist you and offer the appropriate compensation.
Our guided tours are designed to maintain a balance between adventure and safety routes and speeds are regulated to protect all participants. Private tours allow for more flexibility in pace and stops, always within safe limits to ensure everyone’s well being.
Transparency is one of our most important values. All official prices, upgrades, and optional services are published clearly on our website www.cactustours.com.mx, and we’re reinforcing our communication process to make sure every guest receives complete and accurate information before arrival.
We appreciate your time and feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to regain your trust and provide a more enjoyable experience in the future.

Don’t do it! The price ended up tripling once we got there. They were extremely busy and I don’t know why.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations and that there was confusion regarding pricing upon arrival.
We want to clarify that all official prices, fees, and optional services are published transparently on our official website www.cactustours.com.mx
to help our guests plan with full clarity before booking. In some cases, third party sellers or online platforms may present different information, and we always recommend booking directly through our verified channels to avoid misunderstandings.
We’d like to look further into your case to verify what happened and ensure it doesn’t repeat. Please contact us at, onlinereservations@cactusatvtours.com
, including the name on your reservation and date of your visit, so we can investigate and assist you personally.
We truly appreciate your feedback it helps us improve communication and service for all our future guests

Know ahead of time! Our family of four paid $50 per person for this ATV ride. We were scheduled to be picked up at 1:10 PM at our hotel and the shuttle did not get here until an hour later. The ride to the excursion was an hour away and coming back it took about two hours because, they went clear out of the way to drop another couple off. So our ATV ride that was supposed to start at 2 o’clock did not start until 4 o’clock. When you get there, they charge an extra $25 per person for an automatic ATV. And they want another $25 per person for insurance. And they want $25 cash for the park entry (which we did know ahead of time) If you deny the insurance you have to put $1000 hold on your credit card . This excursion ended up costing us double! And water is not provided! Was so upset with all the charges and waiting for so long to start this ride that we weren’t even excited to go!
Our tour guide was great. Just the whole situation before hand was a total hassle and disappointing!
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Hello, we’re very sorry to hear that your experience didn’t fully meet your expectations. We’d like to look into what you mentioned about transportation in more detail, as our guests’ time is extremely valuable and this is definitely not the type of service we aim to provide.
Regarding the activity and vehicle upgrade, automatic models are not only more comfortable but also tend to be faster. As for the insurance, it is always completely optional; if a guest chooses not to purchase it, a temporary hold is placed on the credit card as protection in case of any damage. If the tour ends without any issues, that hold is released immediately.
We’re also concerned about what you mentioned regarding water availability, as we do have hydration stations after each activity. If they were not accessible or not properly communicated, we’d like to investigate that further.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience this helps us improve and prevent similar situations in the future. If you’re willing, please send the name and reservation number to community@cactustours.com so we can follow up with you personally.
Anna_H, Aug 2025
It’s sad how cactus has changed over the years. They sucker you in with reasonable Atv prices then tell you when you get there there’s no insurance and they’ll put a $1000 hold on your card unless you buy insurance. They pressure you to buy medical. And then inform you you have the most basic Atv (non automatic). It was $360 for our group to upgrade to a private tour that included property damage insurance and automatics. But wait! When we got out there they gave us the non automatic and it was a big delay and hooha to get it fixed. They said sorry it was a misunderstanding smh. We sat there and argued for 20 minutes before they agreed to give us what we paid for. Not the cactus of the past. These guys are out to empty your pockets. Plus the $25 park entrance fee per person they want in cash. If it weren’t for the location I’d say take a leap cactus!!!
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Hi Anna,
Let me explain: the vehicle insurance is completely optional for each of our visitors and may vary depending on the type of vehicle. If you decide not to purchase it, a temporary hold is placed on your card, which can also vary depending on the vehicle. Additionally, the medical insurance is also totally optional.
We would like to thoroughly investigate what you mentioned regarding the vehicles and the delay you experienced, as this is not a common situation and we want to review it properly.
We truly appreciate the time you took to share your experience, as it helps us identify areas of opportunity and improve our service day by day.
To assist you better, could you please email us at community@cactustours.com
with your full name and reservation number so we can review your case in detail and follow up appropriately?

Leon was the absolute best tour we had a mix crowd of experienced and non experienced riders and he watched and made sure we all got the best out of the tour based on interests.
Sean_K, May 2025
They’ll try to nickel and dime you at every turn. Go with a more local vendor - this place was way too institutionalized
Response from Host, May 2025
Good morning, we're sorry that your experience with us wasn't the best. We'd like to provide you with some information. Our official websites list everything included in the tour, prices, upgrades, and possible charges that may apply within the park. We have adopted a no-camera policy for security reasons, since all of our experiences, as you may have noticed, are outdoors and involve a level of interaction and risk, which is why we strive to ensure the safety of our guests. Our prices are standardized and competitive with other activity parks, allowing us to offer you the highest quality products. We'll pay special attention to your comments and will improve our transparency and communication. Please send us a message at +52 624 252 1229 or email us at onlinereservations@cactusatvtours.com with the details if you have any further questions. We hope we've helped you and that you'll give us a try in the future.
Montreal_M, Jan 2025
I thought we were going to have a wonderful time, but upon arrival and when we checked-in, I was hit with the insurances scam. I knew they had optional insurance, and I was going to opt out of it. II've driven ATV's before, and I didn't want to send the extra money. The sale's clerk informed us that if we don't get the insurance that there would be a $1500 hold on my card which we didn't have. Then when trying to cancel the trip we were informed that if we cancel that they wouldn't take us back to the hotel, and we are in the middle of the desert. I phone did not have reception. Please pick another ATV tour that don't scan American out of additional $300
Response from Host, Jan 2025
We are very sorry that our service did not meet your expectations. We would love to share important information regarding your experience. All our policies and restrictions are found on our website. The retention is done as in any other vehicle rental company to guarantee in case of any damage and for declining the coverage offered by the company. When they are foreign banks, it may take between 3 and 15 business days for your bank to release. We as a company release all withholdings and do not make any charges, that is up to your bank to return the money to your account. The email address you can contact for more information is administracion@cactusatvtours.com or ventas@cactusatvtours.com. We hope this information serves to improve your perception of the experience. Kind regards.

While the ATVing was fun, much about this experience was frustrating. Our reservation was for 11, planning it to fit in comfortably with evening activities. By the time we checked in and then waited for our assigned guide, we didn't actually leave until 12:15. Thankfully we brought face coverings, or we would have had to pay for them. Halfway through the riding, we stopped at a rest area that has snacks and drinks. The description of the excursion states water is provided. The break would be a great time to provide that but no, you needed to purchase it. We were told the free water was at the main building, but we couldn't get it there either. Between the rest break, one of the ATVs breaking down, and another getting stuck, total riding time was 60 minutes. Not worth it.
Response from Host, Jul 2024
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the ATV ride itself, but we're truly sorry for the inconveniences you experienced during your tour.
We apologize for the delay in starting your tour and the issues with water availability, as well as the mechanical problems with the ATVs. Your comments are valuable to us, and we'll address these concerns with our team to ensure a smoother and more enjoyable experience for all our guests in the future.
Please feel free to reach out to our customer service team if you’d like to discuss this further. We hope you'll consider giving us another chance to provide you with a better experience next time.
Erica_M, Jul 2024
I will say that the excursion was fun and our tour guide was great. However, the additional hidden fees are ridiculous. If you can’t drive a clutch you have to upgrade your atv, which was an additional $50 on top of the $25pp to get in. Then, you had to pay for face covering to go under your helmet to not breathe in any dust, that was $10 each. It stated that water would be provided but you had to pay for it at the break or be thirsty. No one was told that at the beginning because they made everyone put everything in their lockers. My boyfriend and I ended up spending another $200 on top of the $150 that was already paid.
UE_B, May 2024
Cactus tour ATV was excellent!! The ATV obstacle course, the tour guide the photos and video coverage eter exceptional. It was my first time on an ATV and they were very good to explain everything. The excursion was enjoyable. I highly recommend it. It is a stand a long ATV excursion, in the desert and along the beach. I would do the excursion again. Also the tour company was communicative, and the facilities were well taken care of.
Amy_R, Feb 2024
Private tour is the way to go. Victor was a great guide! Teen boys loved it and the beach is beautiful.
Response from Host, Feb 2024
Thank you for your comment, always ready to give you the best tour to have an incredible
experience. Hope see you again soon and took another ride! Send your greetings to Victor!
Nia_S, Aug 2022
There were some unexpected fees, and we ended up paying more than we expected, such as the entrance fee and insurance fee, as well as having to upgrade because the ATVs you get with the original purchase are so bad and manual driving. Besides that, you get what you pay for because I had a fantastic time. Doing the private tour with Juan was so much fun. He's such a good guide and deserves a raise for sure. This was 10000% the best part of my trip, and I will definitely be returning when I visit Cabo again!
Response from Host, Aug 2022
We are so glad you loved the tour and that it was the highlight of your trip! We can't wait to have you back again soon!
George C, Jul 2017
While it is costly this tour is worth it! We toured through the Baja Desert and then out to a beach along the Pacific Ocean! It was very safe, but we also got up some speed.
Evelyn_A, Apr 2026
The place is beautiful, the experience unique, but they don't allow you to shoot photos, and in the end they throw them away and charge you $150 and $300 for theirs. We couldn't bring back any memories of the experience. We felt very sad and disappointed. We dress the place without being able to save a photo. In addition they charge you insurance, and when you make the reservation they never said it. However they offered you another offer when you got there where if you were allowed photos but had to pay $150 additional to those you had already paid , the issue for them of not throwing yourself the photos was for security however on that tour they offered you paying more if you could throw the photos , then as explained the supposed security. Don't take this tour, because you won't have any memories, you just want to get money.
