You don't have to travel to the middle east to experience a camel ride. As the tour guide, Raul, said "Welcome to Cabo Dubai." My son and I enjoyed the camel ride along Migrino beach. It was smooth and beautiful. Such a great memory for us. Highly recommend and ask for Raul. He was such a great tour guide.

The ride took 30-40 minutes to get there and it was very bumpy! We get to the facility and weren’t giving any directions. We just followed the crowd. We waited another 30-45 minutes before being pushed along to another area where we were forced to put our belongings in a locker. The camel ride was not that interesting. It was hot! And Smelly! Roberto (aka Billy) our guide was awesome! And the scenic backdrop was breathtaking!

Riding the camels was fun especially for the kids, but food wasn’t that great and no quesadillas like it said. We didn’t feel it was worth the price! We paid $700. Plus for a family of 6 once you have to pay the $25 PP park fee. Not worth the price in our opinion.
On a side note we did have a very nice staff, Kevin, working with us. He was great but probably should have stayed home with a fever and not pass his sickness to others.
Response from Host, Oct 2026

Karina, our guide, was absolutely amazing! She was friendly, helpful, and made the experience enjoyable. The tour itself was short but informative, and riding the camels along the beach was beautiful.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the VIP upgrade. After booking, we received a message encouraging us to upgrade, with one of the main advertised benefits being that we could keep our phones with us and use them throughout the experience. That was a major reason we chose to pay extra. However, once there, we learned that you cannot actually use your phone while riding the camel, the guides are not required to stop and take photos for you, and during the designated camel photo encounter, their photographer is positioned in a way that makes it difficult to take your own pictures.
When we raised our concerns with staff, we were told the experience was considered VIP because we received a private tour. However, all of the tour groups we observed were already very small, so our experience did not appear significantly different from the standard tours.
Based on what was advertised to us when the upgrade was offered, I do not feel we received the VIP benefits we paid for. I will be disputing the VIP upgrade charge because the experience did not match what was represented when the upgrade was sold to us.
One additional thing that would have been helpful to know in advance is that the tour guides are paid through tips. This was not clearly communicated beforehand, and knowing this would have allowed us to come prepared with cash to appropriately tip our guide—especially since Karina did such a wonderful job.
Overall, we enjoyed the camel ride and Karina was fantastic, but I would recommend booking the regular experience and skipping the VIP upgrade. All of the reviews that complain about the same issue were right, I should have listened.
Response from Host, Oct 2026
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re very happy to hear that Karina provided such a wonderful experience, and we’ll be sure to share your kind words with her.
Regarding the Private Tour, our team has reviewed your case and the service provided. The Private Tour includes an exclusive experience for your party, the ability to bring and use your personal device, as well as additional benefits such as enjoying the tour at your own pace and reduced waiting times. These benefits were provided during your visit.
We understand that some aspects of the experience may not have met your expectations; however, after reviewing the circumstances, the Private Tour service was provided as described.
We truly appreciate your feedback and are glad that you enjoyed your camel experience and Karina’s service
I was very excited to ride a camel, however the tour is not very long AT ALL!! You are not allowed to have your phone. They have someone riding an ATV capturing pictures of everyone. They don't want you taking personal photos because the company wants to sell you photos after the tour. The tour itself is already over priced and then to kick you a little bit more you won't have proof of the experience unless you purchase it.
Response from Host, Sep 2026

Only gave it a 2 because the camels were cute and we got to feed them. I had to search to find what time they were picking us up, ride took a very long time; we got there 30 minutes after the start time. Then we are told it’s $25 to enter the park which we pay, then are told you cannot bring phones or cameras for “safety reasons” that suddenly disappear if you pay an extra $150 😒. One of the girls explains these rules to me and then calls me out when I question it. Our tour guide was great and the camels were cute, we were lucky to be sitting in front. However we got no photos because the ones they took were bad and also cost an astronomical amount. We did get 3 tacos for free which were good. Tequila tasting was subpar, bartender was rude and acted like it was a burden to get us samples which were tiny. We told them when we were ready to leave and they said they would call us when the bus arrived which they did not so we almost missed the bus. Total money grab, choose another company!
Response from Host, Aug 2026

You never showed up, if you did your guide did not call our names we waited over 60
Minutes. Now you don’t want to refund the money. So I will dispute it with my Apple Card.

Dear Ms. Ivonne,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand how frustrating this situation must have been. We would appreciate the opportunity to review what happened and investigate your reservation. Please contact us at community@cactustours.com with your booking details so we can look into your case thoroughly and provide you with a positive resolution. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Staff and overall experience was wonderful. Everything was explained thoroughly and our safety was always a priority.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re very happy to hear that you had a wonderful experience with our staff and that everything was clearly explained throughout your tour. Safety is always our top priority, so we truly appreciate you recognizing that. We hope to welcome you back soon for another adventure with Cactus Tours!
We booked a camel tour for four. We paid close to $400. Once we arrived at the facility and checked in we were charged another $25 per person for the entry fee. We were also informed that during our tour we would not be allowed to take pictures unless we paid extra for the VIP tour. We paid another $300 for the VIP tour. The camel ride is at most 20-25 minutes long. They also take pictures during the tour and you have the option to purchase those for different package prices starting at approximately $179 - $149 or you have the option to buy individuals for $20.
The experience was good, but it was a rip off and not worth $700. They also offer the eco tour and they want you to do the tequila tasting to sell you more stuff at ridiculous prices. If you are doing this tour be prepared and aware.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the experience itself, but we're sorry to learn that the overall value and additional costs did not meet your expectations.
We understand how frustrating unexpected expenses can be. Services such as park admission, VIP upgrades, and photography packages are optional offerings designed to provide guests with different ways to personalize their experience. We also recognize the importance of ensuring this information is communicated as clearly as possible throughout the booking process.
Your comments regarding pricing transparency and the overall experience are valuable to us, as they help us identify opportunities for improvement. We would like the opportunity to better understand your experience. Please contact us at community@cactustours.com with your reservation details so our team can review your case and work toward a positive resolution.
Thank you again for your feedback and for visiting Cactus Tours.
Esteban our guide was great and interactive. The camels were sweet. However, this Cactus Tours is all about upcharges. They told us to lock our phones up “for safety reasons” but then said we could use them for $150 USD. We were scheduled for 9AM but they refused to depart until they had a larger group. They made us wait another 30 minutes for 2 more people to arrive unless we paid extra for a private tour. It shouldn’t be my problem to ensure their bookings are full - they should aim to leave at the advertised time. It is marked as a 1 hour activitiy but you’ll spend 4 hours at least, with only 20 minutes riding the camels. Photos cost $20 each or $175 for a package.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that Esteban provided a great and interactive experience, and that you enjoyed spending time with the camels.
We’re sorry to hear that other aspects of your visit did not meet your expectations. We understand your concerns regarding timing, additional costs, and the communication of our policies. Your comments are very important to us, as they help us identify areas where we can improve the guest experience and provide clearer information before arrival.
We would appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your visit and work together toward a positive resolution. Please feel free to contact us at community@cactustours.com and our team will be happy to assist you further.
The initial start was challenging due we could not fond the pick up atea but once we found it amd arrived at t he location the mshov began. This was a great experience with David Touar as he was extremely knowledgeable about the entire excursion. He was knowledgeable about the land, camels and food. We had alot of fun. The next we will add in the ATV and sky biking.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! We’re sorry to hear the beginning of your day was a bit challenging while finding the pickup area, but we’re so happy to know the adventure turned into a great experience once you arrived. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with David Touar — he’ll be thrilled to know his knowledge and energy helped make the excursion so enjoyable. It sounds like you already have your next adventure planned, and we can’t wait to welcome you back for the ATV and Sky Bike experience!
Tell picked us up from the cruise terminal. The pick up communication could have been better from the driver but, once we arrived it was a great tour. We will do one of the other tours offered next time we are in Cabo.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for sharing your experience! We appreciate your feedback regarding the pickup communication and will definitely take it into account to improve.
We’re glad to hear that once you arrived, you had a great tour. That means a lot to us.
We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to Cabo to try another one of our adventures!
Read all the information in description and be patient. Ultimately they got us to excursion location by tour start time. Expect a few minutes wait to "check in". Experience with camels was unique. The lunch buffet of authentic food was awesome. The tequila tasting was informative. Saul our guide spoke fluent English and kept us completely informed. It was worth the price we paid.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We truly appreciate your patience throughout the process and are glad everything came together in time for your tour.
It’s great to hear you enjoyed the camel experience, the authentic lunch, and the tequila tasting. We’re especially happy to know that Saul made a positive impact and he’ll be thrilled to hear your kind words.
Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back for another great experience soon!
We booked the Camel Ride Adventure in Cabo expecting a straightforward 1-hour experience, but it was very different from what’s advertised.
The listing highlights a "30-minute camel ride" which is accurate, but the overall experience is much longer and not in a good way. After arriving, we waited about 20 minutes for additional guests to show up (after declining a $150 private tour upsell). The ride itself was only around 30 minutes, followed by a staged photo session with the camels.
Important note: if you want those photos, you’re required to purchase a package starting around $149. There’s no option to just buy a single photo, which felt excessive.
After the ride, you’re directed to a buffet lunch. Unfortunately, this was the worst part. The food was uncovered and surrounded by large flies, likely due to the proximity to the camel area. It made the entire experience feel unsanitary and unappetizing.
In total, the experience took about 2 to 2.5 hours, not the “1 hour” many people might expect from the title or description.
The entire experience felt like a constant upsell funnel, from the private tour upgrade to photos to the gift shop (and note it's $25 additional per person to enter the venue). It took away from what should have been a simple, enjoyable activity.
One additional note: the camels are tied together and walk in a line. If you’re not near the front, you’ll mostly be looking at other guests rather than enjoying unobstructed views.
Overall, this was expensive for what it was, poorly executed, and overly commercialized. I would not recommend it.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re sorry to hear that your visit did not meet your expectations
We understand how the overall duration and flow of the experience may have felt different from what you anticipated. While the camel ride itself has an approximate duration, the full experience includes additional elements designed to complement the activity.
We also appreciate your feedback regarding the waiting time, photo services, and overall perception of additional offerings. Our intention is always to provide options that enhance the visit, though we understand how this may not align with every guest’s expectations.
Regarding the food service, we take your comments seriously, as cleanliness and quality are very important to us. Your feedback will be shared with the appropriate team for review.
We would appreciate the opportunity to look into your experience further. Please feel free to contact us at community@cactustours.com
so we can follow up and work toward a positive resolution.
I’ve been to many excursion facilities is different countries, but this is the cleanest one by far! I highly recommend spending a whole day here to ATV, UTV, horseback ride, camel ride, or bike ziplining! We only chose the camel ride because we wanted a small, calm experience which they delivered.
David Zantina was our tour guide and he was amazing! He stayed with us for the whole experience making sure we were comfortable and having a great time! I asked him many questions about the camels and they are being well taken care of! Half of the caravan has the day off while the other half work and they swap out every other day! You have the opportunity to purchase photos after, eat a meal, and try some tequila! The only difference with a private tour is that you can take your own photos and videos while you’re on the 30 minute camel ride.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you so much for your wonderful review!
We’re truly happy to hear that you found our facilities to be one of the cleanest you’ve visited and that you enjoyed the calm and relaxing camel ride experience. Creating a beautiful and well-maintained environment for our guests is something our team takes great pride in.
It’s also great to know that David Zantina made your experience even more special. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with him — he will be very happy to know he helped make your visit memorable.
We especially appreciate you noticing the care we give to our camels. Their wellbeing is extremely important to us, and we’re glad you enjoyed learning more about how we care for them.
Thank you again for recommending us, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure at Cactus Tours soon!
This place feels excessively profit-driven, with extra charges for nearly everything—parking, insurance, and other services—all at steep prices. To make matters worse, photography and videography are not allowed. Overall, the experience simply does not justify the cost.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We’re sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. We always strive to be transparent about pricing, including insurance and optional services, as these are communicated prior to the activity to ensure clarity and safety for all guests.
Our photography policies are designed with safety and security in mind, especially during high-adrenaline activities. However, we understand that this may not align with everyone’s expectations.
We truly value your feedback and would appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your specific case. Please feel free to contact us directly at community@cactustours.com
so we can better understand your concerns.
Your comments help us improve, and we hope to hear from you soon.
Our guide Billy was excellent. He and his team took good care of us. Was expecting to be taken to the desert but the facility was so much more than expected.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Thank you so much for your kind words!
We’re thrilled to hear that Billy and his team took great care of you and made your experience memorable. We’re especially happy to know that our facilities exceeded your expectations — we love surprising our guests in the best way possible!
We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon.
We will never be booking with this company/through this site combined. We booked a 2pm slot months in advance, and never received any communication on pick up time. So I therefore had to email the company to find out about pick up and was told that our slot wasn’t available so we would have to move times but COULDNT get a refund. Following this we were also told in the same email an additional $25 was needed to even enter the park in order to do the tour…which should have just been included in the price! Once arrived, we were THEN told that the only accept cash as well as we cannot use cell phones at all. This is obviously so they can over charge you $20/terrible picture and our actually tour didn’t start until 45min after the already pushed time.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Hi, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.
We are very sorry for the inconveniences you described. We understand how frustrating it is when plans change, and we apologize for any lack of communication regarding your pickup time and schedule.
Regarding the park access fee, this is a mandatory fee established by the park and is not included in all tour packages, which we will continue working to communicate more clearly in advance.
We also want to clarify that, for safety reasons, personal belongings including cell phones are not permitted on our public UTV tours. However, we do offer personalized tours where guests are able to bring and use their devices.
We truly value your feedback and would like to better understand what happened during your visit. Please feel free to send us a direct message or email us at community@cactustours.com with your name and date of visit so we can review your case.
We had booked a previous tour and we explained to them how it was running late they said no problem we can reschedule until the following day, so we did. They didn’t inform us it was a four hour four because they had to do all the pick ups and returns. I told them we had an international flight and we couldn’t risk the four hours, they told me okay, you can add an additional $250 and make it private. We agreed. The bus arrived, we got there the next day and they asked for an additional $450 dollars saying that $250 was for the private transportation. And, the $450 is for your entrance fee. I said to them what about the $250 I pass the previous day, they said that money was no longer valid. They say Mexico is known for its scammers and they try to cheat the Americans out of their money, this is one company that did just that! They charged me in US dollars by the way not Pesos! Stay away, they’re liars and cheaters from start to finish. I booked parasailing off the beach the previous day, and they were significantly cheaper and more honest than these people. They say book with a reputable tour company to avoid being cheated, and that’s all these people did. Stay away!

Hello, I hope you are doing well. We are very sorry for the situation you experienced; clearly, this is not the kind of service we want to be known for.
We understand that communication is fundamental in every aspect of our visitors’ experience. That said, we would like to explain what happened and, if there was any misunderstanding, investigate it thoroughly.
Private transportation is an optional additional service, designed for those seeking more comfort during their transfer. On the other hand, the $450 entry fee corresponds to access to Ejido Migriño. If this was not communicated properly, we want to make sure to clarify it and take steps to prevent it from happening again.
To verify what happened, could you please provide your name, reservation number, and tour date? You may send this information directly to community@cactustours.com, so we can investigate the situation in detail and provide you with a clear response.
Once again, we deeply regret the situation and appreciate your willingness to help us improve.
Our guide Solomon was great! However the tour itself was lackluster and all others involved were not overly friendly. It was a once in a lifetime, I wouldn't do it again.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Good morning, thank you for sharing your experience with us.
I understand how you felt, and we appreciate you taking the time to let us know. This is not the type of experience we want our visitors to have, and we would like to review your case properly to understand what happened and follow up accordingly.
If you’re open to it, we’d appreciate the opportunity to contact you directly. Please share your full name, reservation number, and date of visit at community@cactustours.com, so we can review this with our team and continue the conversation.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to look into this.
A 1 hour camel ride excursion turned into 5-6hrs of being baited to buy this or that! The excursion was for 2pm. We were picked up at 1:45pm, we were dropped off at 6:30pm. The actual camel ride itself was about 20mins tops! They try to upsell everything you can think of! Pictures are $150. You can't take your cell phone unless you pay extra. It was not worth the initial $200, plus a $25 per person entry fee. Can't recommend at all. Everyone was frustrated and ready to go!
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Hello, good morning. We hope you’re doing well and wish you a wonderful start to the year.
We sincerely apologize that your experience was not entirely pleasant, especially regarding the timing, as we understand how important this is for our guests to fully enjoy their vacation. We also apologize for the delay in the pick-up service, as this should not affect your day’s plans.
We would like to share that the camel ride itself lasts approximately 25 minutes, as this duration is carefully designed to ensure the well-being and proper care of these beautiful animals.
Regarding the photography service, the prices are aligned with destination standards and are fully competitive.
We would truly like to investigate what happened in more detail. If you would be so kind, could you please share your full name, reservation number, and the date of your visit? This will help us review your case properly and work toward a fair solution for both sides.
Thank you very much for your time and for sharing your feedback.
This activity is NOT 1 hour as it is mentioned. It takes at least 30 minutes to drive to the location from the pickup point. They should mention this clearly.
If you have other activity planned, ensure that you allocate at least 3 hours for this.
Be aware that there is a $25 USD per head park entrance fee (that is mentioned in the description)
The camel experience in itself was great. Our guide Cesar was knowledgeable, funny, and very responsive to our questions/needs.
The buffet had great choices -- fruits, pastries, yogurt etc for non meat eaters.
The tequila tasting was good - Baltazar was an excellent host. I wish we had more time to spend there -- unfortunately we had to run out.
We had a wonderful time! we upgraded our experience to private, which was amazing. Highly recommend. Clean facilities. Animals are very well cared for.
They refused to allow us to take our iphones, so we left them behind. They informed us they would take pictures.
Reality….everyone but us had there cell phones out taking pictures. The pictures the company took were terrible. So we have no pics.
The ride is only about 15 minutes, we wasted another 2 hours waiting around.

Hello, I hope you are doing well. We are very sorry that you went through this situation, and we would like to investigate more about what you mentioned. In advance, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and the time involved.
Could you please share with us your full name, reservation number, and, if possible, a screenshot of the situation you described, to the following email: community@cactustours.com

Thank you for your time, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Money grab the tour guides are good though. Everything is an extra fee. Buffet food was nasty, Tequila tasting mediocre, camel ride was okay.

Bit of a let down. Took almost 2 hours to get to this random piece of beach that they claimed was somehow special or different than the others. It was not. Plus they stick you with a $25 per person fee on top of the almost $100 per head to ride a camel for 30mins and eat a burrito. They offered tequila tasting and we declined as there was nothing novel or interesting to try. Took another almost 2 hours to get home.
There has to be a better option people. This was not it.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Hello,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re very sorry to hear that your visit didn’t meet your expectations this is definitely not the type of experience we want to provide to our visitors.
Regarding the transportation time, we understand how tiring it can be. Our location is inside a desert area where the camel sanctuary is based, and travel time can vary depending on traffic and hotel pick-ups. No cameras are allowed without paying extra. Plan for 5 hours.
Great facilities. Great guides. But awfully expensive. I enjoyed it but not having my own camera access I felt nickel and dimed.
Loved the sunset view among the cactus. Very pretty. Guide was super nice and knowledgeable. Camels are too cute and the tequila was good.
First be prepared to pay the $25 extra per person upon arrival, it’s not optional. I wish they’d just charge it in the beginning. The private camel experience was awesome. Our guide, Billy, was the reason I gave this 5 stars otherwise it was 4. The facility is beautiful, I loved seeing the animals in clean housing and good health. You can tell they really love the animals. The camel ride was beautiful along the coast. The pictures were a nice option but the angles were so unflattering that none of us wanted them. The food after was just ok. A little bland and for sure more for basic tourists, wish it was a little more authentic. The stores had beautiful clothes, just wish they had a little AC for the changing rooms as it was hot enough it made changing un-appealing. The tequila tasting was fun and all the tequilas were great! Finished off with a margarita from their bar before the ride back to town. Overall would do it again, especially if we could request Billy!
Was very unhappy did not get to ride camel which was scheduled on our last day in Mexico. Was scheduled for pick up at 4pm driver did not arrive until after 5pm. Then we arrived had to take a breathalyzer ( we are staying at an all inclusive and the site say they also give shots) very upset and will be reaching out to my bank for refund.

Hi there! I hope you’re doing very well. I’m really sorry to hear that your experience didn’t go as you expected. We’d love to take a closer look at what happened, especially with the transportation delay, since this is something we take very seriously.
If you don’t mind, could you please send us the full name and reservation code to community@cactustours.com
? With that information, we can look into your case and understand exactly what happened.
About the breathalyzer, this is part of our safety process for all visitors, as the activities take place outdoors and require full focus. We also invite all guests to check the information on our website www.cactustours.com
to learn more about our policies and how each activity works.
And regarding the shots these are part of a small tasting we offer after the activities, never before.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Once we receive your information, we’ll be happy to follow up and help you in the best way possible.
