What fun! I was originally nervous about trying this for the first time. Our guide was friendly, funny and reassuring. He took us on hard packed dunes and on loose beach sand. I will say that I was gripping the steering wheel so tight and my arms were sore for the next few days afterwards... but it was worth it!

Itinerary

Following hotel pickup in San Jose del Cabo or Cabo San Lucas, you are transferred to the tour facility to meet your guide. Receive a safety briefing, then suit up with any necessary gear including helmet, goggles, bandana, and bottled water.

Take a seat on your side-by-side all-terrain vehicle and head off-road to explore the trails of Baja California Sur. Follow the guide over desert trails and sand dunes to incredible white-sand beaches with ocean views. You'll stop for photo ops and water breaks along the way.

After a thrilling ride, head back to the starting point and board a vehicle back to your hotel. (Souvenir photos and DVD are available to purchase.)

Great utv experience. Lots of fast driving time and the guides we amazing. We ended up taking the private tour for approx $35 extra per person as they said otherwise it would be in a huge group which we would have to wait to start the trip. I’m not sure if that is just a sales tactic? The place is very large with a lot of people registering for various tours so be prepared that your start time selected is just the arrival time to the facility. Loved the tour - it was very dusty and you are not provided face masks/bandanas. They do have them for sale on site.

This was the worst experience we’ve ever had. Very poor communication from Viator and drivers. There was no clear connection with who was in charge of what. We had two excursions scheduled through theater and they continued to get both of those different excursions confused for each other. We missed both excursions and did not get adequate money back.

We enjoyed the tour! We ended taking a private tour and we had lot of fun with beautiful views, Braulio was our guide and he was very friendly and attentive all the time 💯 The only thing I’m not giving 5 stars was we didn’t know we have to do check out after the activity to arrange our transportation driver and time he just said “see you at this point at the end” so we wait 1 hour for our transportation back to our hotel. Also I recommend to bring Mexican cash they are just expecting to charge in American dollars plus tips $$

The experience was great, by a little bit underwhelming for the price. We paid for the private tour, being told the total time was roughly 2 hours, but the ride time in the UTV was at most 60 mins. The guide was great and scenery was also fantastic, I just wish it was longer.we were also told we could go off trail a bit, or go where we wanted to, but it felt like we just took the same trails as everyone else.

Overall we both loved the experience. Definitely well worth trying. I would've rated it a 5 star however when we arrived you could only pay for the park entrance by cash. Luckily we had it but we saw several people scrambling to get money out of an ATM which charges you ridiculous fees. Then the additional insurance and upgrades continues to add on to the cost. It would be great if these were thing mentioned prior to your booking so you know hat to expect. Aside from that it was a fun experience.

Great place to visit in Cabo! Have now been three times over the years… each time seems like this place gets bigger and better. Despite its size and crowd my last two UTV tours have been 3 and 2 vehicle groups… if you’ve got capable drivers the guides really let you clip along.

I find it disrespectful that one pays a price for the tour and then they come a few hours before with an email saying that it is $25 extra per person plus $45 for UTV insurance, they do not allow cell phones and you have to leave them in a locker and if you want to take photos you have to pay $150 more to be on a better tour or they take photos and they cost $104

Turned out fine but could have been real bad

Staff was nice, rude was mostly fun but the equipment and condition was sub-standard. We were delayed 45 minutes because out vehicle’s back wheel came completely off while driving due to loose lug nuts. The company was kind enough to bring out a replacement ATV and it was definitely an upgraded model, so that was fun. Also, they were unable to properly accommodate my son and another guest with the correct sized helmet (not enough large sizes). We did not receive a bandana as we were told we would get and we were not informed in advance that an $850 credit card hold was required if we declined the $45 accident policy. The company would not provide me any paperwork stipulating the terms of the $850 hold so I will have limited recourse should any problems arise from the wheel incident noted above. I was told by staff this was not our fault but “words” mean very little in such disputes. I asked a manager for documentation that the incident was in fact bout our fault or our responsibility for repairs but I was politely told they don’t have such paperwork to offer guests; so all I can do now is wait and see. Had I canceled the trip because I refused the $850 hold, I would have forfeited the $450 we paid for the activity so we were coerced into accepting a poorly constructed agreement/activity. And of course they don’t allow phones or cameras during the ride so I was unable to document the extent and circumstances of the wheel coming off our vehicle. All lugs bolts remained on the axle and the threads were present. I located the wheel and brought it back to our ATV. All evidence pointed to the lug nuts having come off during the ride as the cause. Had this happened during a more technical portion of the ride, it could have easily cause for a roll-over situation and a more complex accident to reconstruct and prove we were not at fault. I will never consider this type of activity in the future unless all terms of agreement can be reviewed in advance.

Had an awesome guide, Enrique! Friendly informative and just let a lose to have a good time! Beautiful run along the beach, off roading was great! Much more fun than I thought it would be.
