From the start, Michael knew exactly how to run the night. No awkward downtime, no standing around wondering what’s next. They kept the energy high and the group moving. Every bar had a different vibe, and none of them felt like a throwaway stop.
The drink deals were legit (not watered-down tourist nonsense), and the skip-the-line access alone made it worth it. We got into places that had lines wrapped around the block.
Best part? The people. Everyone showed up ready to have a good time, and the hosts actually made an effort to bring the group together instead of letting it turn into cliques.
If you’re new in town or just want a guaranteed fun night without planning anything—this is it. No regrets.

A little confusion about the meeting point at first. May or may not have been my fault. I did eventually meet up surgery the group and had an absolute blast. Met people from all over the world. Ash was a fantastic host. So the bars we visited were great!

No one showed up for the pub crawl. The operator never responded to messages. This tour should be removed from Viator.

We arrived at 9:30pm at the starting point of our crawl. it took at least 20 minutes until somebody felt responsible for the 25 people waiting outside. we asked our tour guide about the "one hour open bar" feature as described in the caption and he said that we have to pay extra for that. why is it written down in the viator description then??? absolute scam. I would not recommend doing this pub crawl and safe the money to spend the money on exploring budapest nightlife on your own. two out out of three bars were completely bad chosen and the "shots" we got as promised were pure soda. Never felt that scammed before.

The worst experience ever infact there was no experience as the host did not show up and we were just waiting think the person might arrive. They did not even bother to tell us if its cancelled or nor have we received any refund!

Its a scam. Be careful booking this. There was no one at the bar and the employees at the meeting point did not know English and could not help. Currently, I am fighting to get my money back via PayPal but the hosting page is not answering the messages.

Pros -
1) The club at the very end of the "pub crawl".
2) The host, Lucas was 10/10 - did his best with the little on offer)
3) You do meet people (luckily there were four other people that had booked)
Cons -
1) There is additional money to pay on arrival (yes this in the small print at the very bottom of the booking page, but you'll think you're getting a great deal when you are not).
2) You can also only pay this extra charge via Revolut, PayPal or cash. (Just felt a bit "scammy").
3) The "shots" that are part of the free hour of drinks are watered down. It's like drinking a juice drink. The bar-woman went out back to get these drinks when alcohol is on show at the bar.
4) The choice of bars were awful. Empty places; our group of six were the only people in the first two bars, the 3rd bar was average. Granted the club at the end was packed (this rescued the night out).
5) The meeting place is not the meeting place. It's odd, our host was stood there to direct people to a bar around the corner.
6) The start time is given as 9.30pm, but it starts at 10pm. It's obvious that this is to get you to buy drinks from the below average starting bar.
7) The club at the end tried consistently to scam me for more expensive alcohol. £60 for a bottle of vodka when a vodka-soda was ordered. It just put a dampener on the mood. The staff are clearly told to do this in the hope a drunk person won't push back.
8) I did see other bar-crawls happening and they had more people. Spend the extra I would say.
