This is the biggest parliament building in the world. You must go inside. It was a great tour and very informative.
Sara_B, Jul 2026
Word of warning. Tour meeting is not at the “time” of the tour. They may have you meet 1/2 hour before but still show location as the meeting place and time. They will leave without you. Also, expect communication through WhatsApp . If that is not your typical form of communication, watch that app.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Thank you for the review.
However, we already explain to you why the meeting time is 30 minutes prior to the starting time. Information that you already had on the voucher.
The whatsapp message that we send every morning is just a REMINDER.

It was very cool to see the parliament! We got to see many rooms and they were all very cool! Would recommend

You can book yourself - though need to do so 24 hours in advance, unless quiet when you may be able to "walk in".
Overall Viator act as an expensive booking avenue as the "operator" is actually staff from within the site.
Vincent_H, Jun 2026
On the day of this tour, you’ll receive a WhatsApp (around one hour before the tour is due to begin), and around half-way down you’ll see a sneaky bit of information. You need to arrive at a different address 30 minutes before your advertised booking time. Don’t be late, they’ll go without you then be quite rude when you arrive!

It was totally unnecessary to use Viator service. There was no line to skip and there was no reason to meet at the office … the walk to parliament building was actually very hot and the lady who directed us to the building wanted us to wait in blazing sun! You just paid extra for the hassle when you could go directly to the building and have same guided tour buying a ticket (all tours have to be guided)

You see less than 1% of the parliament. There was a session ongoing so we didn't get to see the main chamber. This was not mentioned before hand. Make sure you go when there is a parliamentary recess or a weekend. The tour guide has a cold and dark sense of humour which went with the vibe, however the lady who gave us the wristbands was cold and unhelpful. Note that there a lot of stairs to climb incase you have issues. Overall didn't get to see much so not much value for money

Lots of margin built into your start time - meet your guid - walk to Parliament -15 min. Get to Parliament - go through security- wait after security for actual guide.
Suzan_S, Jun 2026
Nothing to review. Seemingly paid extra to meet someone elsewhere and she just walked us there and left us with the actual parliament guide. Just buy your tickets straight from the Palace of Parliament and save money.
Michelle_J, Jun 2026
Don’t waste time trying to find the entrance and figure out the tour schedule. It was worth it to have the tour arranged and we were walked through the whole process. The tour is worthwhile and the rooms and paintings are really beautiful.
Walt_H, Jun 2026
A complete waste of time going through Viator. This is a trip that you could do simply on your own by going directly to the building and paying the entry fee. I paid nearly double to have a tour guide walk me to the building and then hand me over to a tour guide at the site. The building itself is impressive and worth the time, but save some money and do it yourself.
CARLA_H, Jun 2026
Very informative guide. We didn't realize you meet about a mile away and then walk to it with hoards of people.
Patrick_K, May 2026
The tour was boring as you only see a tiny bit of the parliament and the same tour is available for just 17€ at the official Parlament.
Carlos_U, May 2026
Person at the office was not engaged with customers, very little inofrmation, we started late , guide at parlament was better , vosit is very limited to a few halls
Brian_M, May 2026
A very interesting tour of this huge facility. The marble halls were amazing. Our tour guide was very well spoken and knowledgeable. There is a lot of walking, but well worth the journey.
Joan_G, May 2026
A guide walks the group to the Parliament and another guide takes the group through the first floor. Absolutely beautiful building and due to Romanian regulations, groups cannot see the actual Chambers.
Jennifer_H, May 2026
This was not worth our money. We booked for 11 am on Monday. The tour guide appeared disinterested and we waited until 11.30 to start and finished by 12.07. We saw a few rooms but the commentary seemed rote and the guide not to the quality of an our walking tours etc. we were very disappointed.
Wendy_S, May 2026
Easy to book. Good communication in advance of tour including reminders. Be aware that meeting point is about a 10 min walk from the Parliament and that no liquids or gels or sprays are permitted in the Parliament. Efficient check in at Viator and host was efficient and helpful
Stacie_M, May 2026
Great tour. Book it very grand and good information. I highly recommend this tour. Second largest government building in the world next to the pentagon.
Peggy_P, May 2026
Tour was informative. Be prepared for the steps! Tour operator escorted us to building and allowed for photo stops.
David_C, May 2026
Nothing against the tour guide company. Its an active administration building so you only see 5 big rooms and some hallways.
Javier_V, May 2026
0 communication, poor instructions. He/she was not there at the time of meeting. I guess I just lost my money, because I don't have an option for refund
Wendy_S, Apr 2026
Very interesting and informative. The tour gave an excellent insight into the Romanian communist era.

It was a large group of people but ok. It started off being a bit disorganised but the official guide was very knowledgeable. Definitely worth visiting

We booked the Parliament tour expecting something worthwhile, but the overall experience was poor from start to finish.
First, you’re told to arrive 30 minutes early to collect tickets, which in reality just means standing around with no clear purpose. There’s no organisation or added value in that time.
On the morning of the tour, we were contacted and told they had overbooked and asked if we could move to another day. We were only in Bucharest for two days, so that simply wasn’t an option. Not a great start.
The ticket office experience made things worse. The staff member (long hair) was incredibly rude. We asked if we could put an empty water bottle in the bin and were told no because “there are already enough bottles in there.” He then came outside, grunted at the group, and told everyone to hurry up. Completely unprofessional.
The tour itself is short and, frankly, not worth the money. The guide was polite enough but clearly disengaged and uninterested. It later came out he had already done several tours that day, which showed in the delivery.
Overall, this felt like a box-ticking tourist exercise rather than a quality experience. Not worth it. Management seriously needs to address customer service in the ticket office and put staff in place who actually want to be there.

The tour was truly worth seeing. Unfortunately, our parliament tour started late causing us to be late to another Viator adventure so plan this tour with plenty of time on the back side. The building was beautiful inside and the guide was informative about the 8 or so large rooms we visited inside. You must have a passport or local Romanian ID to enter this government building. It is best to go early to understand that the Viator guide only gets us entry into the building and then Parliament guide conducts the tour. With the Viator tickets you will not need to go to the ticket counter as you just wait for your Viator guide in the lobby area to round up the entire tour group prior to entering the security check desk as one Viator tour group. Well worth the time to visit it.
Karen_F, Apr 2026
The tour supposed to start at 11:00 but we needed to wait for the 11:15 guided tour and after the security checking we had to wait for another 15min for no reason. So finally we entered at 11:30! the whole activity was delayed by 30min! Without an explanation! The arrangement of this guided tour was really bad, not recommended.
Alan_C, Mar 2026
You have to walk a little bit of distance from the office to Parliament. You will be walking outside with no shades.
vasile_b, Mar 2026
Is very interesting and you will learn many things about Romania and the past communist regime I highly recommend.
Joniel_V, Mar 2026
This tour is not well organized the meeting point is difficult to find , I can’t even see the names of the street they need to put clear street signs and better have the meeting site in parliament itself .
