It was a large group of people but ok. It started off being a bit disorganised but the official guide was very knowledgeable. Definitely worth visiting

We booked the Parliament tour expecting something worthwhile, but the overall experience was poor from start to finish.
First, you’re told to arrive 30 minutes early to collect tickets, which in reality just means standing around with no clear purpose. There’s no organisation or added value in that time.
On the morning of the tour, we were contacted and told they had overbooked and asked if we could move to another day. We were only in Bucharest for two days, so that simply wasn’t an option. Not a great start.
The ticket office experience made things worse. The staff member (long hair) was incredibly rude. We asked if we could put an empty water bottle in the bin and were told no because “there are already enough bottles in there.” He then came outside, grunted at the group, and told everyone to hurry up. Completely unprofessional.
The tour itself is short and, frankly, not worth the money. The guide was polite enough but clearly disengaged and uninterested. It later came out he had already done several tours that day, which showed in the delivery.
Overall, this felt like a box-ticking tourist exercise rather than a quality experience. Not worth it. Management seriously needs to address customer service in the ticket office and put staff in place who actually want to be there.

The tour was truly worth seeing. Unfortunately, our parliament tour started late causing us to be late to another Viator adventure so plan this tour with plenty of time on the back side. The building was beautiful inside and the guide was informative about the 8 or so large rooms we visited inside. You must have a passport or local Romanian ID to enter this government building. It is best to go early to understand that the Viator guide only gets us entry into the building and then Parliament guide conducts the tour. With the Viator tickets you will not need to go to the ticket counter as you just wait for your Viator guide in the lobby area to round up the entire tour group prior to entering the security check desk as one Viator tour group. Well worth the time to visit it.

The tour supposed to start at 11:00 but we needed to wait for the 11:15 guided tour and after the security checking we had to wait for another 15min for no reason. So finally we entered at 11:30! the whole activity was delayed by 30min! Without an explanation! The arrangement of this guided tour was really bad, not recommended.

You have to walk a little bit of distance from the office to Parliament. You will be walking outside with no shades.
vasile_b, Mar 2026
Is very interesting and you will learn many things about Romania and the past communist regime I highly recommend.
Joniel_V, Mar 2026
This tour is not well organized the meeting point is difficult to find , I can’t even see the names of the street they need to put clear street signs and better have the meeting site in parliament itself .
John_S, Mar 2026
This tour is a solid option for reserving a spot on the official Palace of Parliament tour without having to call the business day before or purchase a ticket same-day. I enjoyed seeing several stately rooms and grand halls while learning about the iconic building's history. However, I was disappointed to learn that it's only possible to visit the parliamentary chambers during the summer recess.

Disappointing. No point booking through them - you turn up at their office 10 mins away from the Parliament, then walk as a group to Parliament, loiter and then go in with everyone else who turns up directly to the Parliament. Absolutely no point booking and detouring to the office, when you can go straight to the Parliament and get tickets there. The tour itself was decent (note, the guide is from the Parliament not this company). This is basically just a way of pre booking tickets, in future I’d recommend anyone just goes directly and gets them on the day from the Parliament building (there’s a specific queue for not booked). Not even friendly people, literally don’t see any merit. Was a disappointing experience to be honest. Just glad the tour itself was pretty decent.

Great tour lead by a guide from the parliament
Amazing building with so much to see
Only shame was there were people on the tour who kept talking making it difficult to hear the guide
Gabi_D, Dec 2025
This is just a way to book advance tickets, which unfortunately are not available to book from the Palace of the Parliament itself. What happens is that you go to this operator’s office about 10 mins walk from the Palace. You check in there. Then they walk to you the Palace, they take you in, they buy your tickets and then you go with the guide and the tour offered by the Palace. However, it seems there are plenty of tickets available so I would not worry about not finding tickets the day of. We visited on 12/29, during winter break and the first they they opened after Christmas holidays, and they had plenty of tickets. And they run guided tours every 15 mins. So best to just go there and get the tickets yourself.

Well organised trip. If you try and book tours directly with the people's palace it's really difficult - particularly if you dont speak romanian. So this is a well organised great option. Just prep for walking to the palace approx 0.5km
Lesley_I, Nov 2025
It’s basically just a way of making sure that you get a ticket with no need to queue. For that it’s fine. Quite a lot of waiting about though.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Not quite.
Try to make reservations directly and see how it works.
Just saying
James_P, Nov 2025
The guide at the palace was wonderful and very informative. A great experience. We’ll worth the price to skip the line.
Michael_S, Nov 2025
Not good value for money... I visited already other parliaments world wide, but this visit was the worst. Very high price for showing a few similar rooms without looking inside plenary hall... I would not recommend this tour. Try to book directly in the ticket office for lower price or skip the visit at all.
Eleni_K, Nov 2025
It is well organized, value for money experience with a professional guided tour. Everything is well planned and the people organizing it are very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended
George_O, Nov 2025
The company you buy the tickets from don’t do very much. The guide basically doesn’t do any guiding, and there wasn’t any line in the first place. They do provide a service in the sense that through them you can reserve tickets in advance, while you can only do it the day before by phone directly from the Parliament website. This is actually very useful. The tour itself was nice, but that basically has nothing to do with this company.
Watch out though — the time that you book for is when the tour starts in the Parliament . The meeting time is 30 minutes before, which I only learned of a couple hours before the tour in a text message and I barely caught up with the group after they left. It was on the electronic ticket voucher itself, but I didn’t think I’d need to look at that page until entering Parliament. Why don’t they just use the meeting time when you choose a time? If you provide minimal service, at least do that service well?

There seemed to be more waiting around than actual tour.
The tour guide was very good but the actual tour was surprising short. Only about half an hour.
The tour is all about the interior designs of several large spaces for formal events. It does not cover any Parliamentary areas or processes.
What we saw of the building was impressive, which is only a small percentage of the total size. There were signs of aging that had not/ could not be maintained.
Does the entrance free go towards maintenance of the building. I hope so.
Was it value for money? Not sure.
In my home country the guided tour of Parliament House is longer, way more comprehensive and FREE.
Theresa_B, Oct 2025
Well organised and a good price. Amazing place to visit . Tour guide was very informative and led the tour at just the right pace.
Lorraine_L, Oct 2025
Great tour and very well organised. We received the information regarding the need for passports etc well before the tour so we were prepared. The guides were extremely good and gave us a real feeling for the times in which the building was created and the conditions at the time. Very well worthwhile.
Astrid_D, Oct 2025
Really enjoyed the tour and the 2 guides - 1 for the outside of the building and 1 inside the building. Very informative. The only criticism is that luckily i looked at my phone as we were on the way to the parliment building and noticed had a text giving a meeting point that was different. I think that information should be sent the day before or be included in the email.
Thomas_W, Oct 2025
Basically just an agency to get you tickets and take you to the entrance. For that purpose it is ok - although you end up waiting around a lot at the start with no seating.
Cristina_M, Oct 2025
Transylvania Wonders claims to be a tourist agency, but in reality, it seems to be just an intermediary, taking clients from their office to the Palace of the Parliament. The actual tour is conducted by the staff at the palace. Also, the email confirmation did not clearly state that a passport is required (buried in the fine print of the booking details page). They should be more transparent about the services they offer (not much) for the price they charge!
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Pure revenage for something that you should have known already. You showed up late and without the proper docuyments and it was somebody else's fault.
Typical for romanians living abroad and " visiting" the home land.
The fact is that if this it would've happend when you're living right now they would never stayed and speak to you.
Rules are rules , but i guess not for everyone.
Michael_M, Oct 2025
Able to work with the group with changes. Great tour and easy booking and transport would book again
Salvatore_S, Oct 2025
What a place! Communist era history. The heaviest building the world and you can see that it sinking. I loved the tour and the guide!
EREZ_H, Oct 2025
a lot of rooms that don't interested enough.
The building is empty
the guide speaker is not good enough and hardly understand what she tell
Response from Host, Oct 2025
The Parliament it represents a dark side of our history. It is nothing entertainig about it.
nam_w, Sep 2025
It was Monday and the castles other than Bran were closed, however it was a good tour to understand the countryside of Romania in addition to the city of Brasov.
Mikael_B, Sep 2025
Preparation incl security takes more than one hour. The actual tour is 35 minutes. Group is so big that less than half can hear the guide.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
"The security check takes more then 1 hour" . Of course it takes as much as is necessary, sometimes takes longer other times it is a bit faster.
Making this statement it means you didn't read the information on the website, you have no idea what you are visiting , or just out of frustration you left this starnge comment here.
You were visiting the Palace of Parliament of Romania, security is mandatory .
Stefan_M, Sep 2025
Its expensive, tour is content wise very poor, you see not much, better to go for your self without tour, which is much cheaper and you just read which gives you more insights.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
You can't get in without a tour. Whoever give this information was/is misinformed and you're passing on the false information.
Bella_R, Sep 2025
The tour inside the parliament is very impressing and interesting.
We came to the Parliament instead of coming to the meeting point and called the number on the invitation. The man who answered was very angry and rude and said he can't help us. I called again and then he made contact with the group's guide and told her about us.
Afterwards, we found that we forgot our passports, so the company offered us to come to the afternoon tour and to pay another 30 ro for each of us.
A good service can be measured especially on how easy and kindly they resolve problems. We didn't get any politeness or kindness in this case.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
This is a comment blaming everyone and everybody. Great.
Let's take it one step at the time:
1. You went to the wrong location.
2. You showed late.
3. You arrived at the venue without the ;proper documantation and guess what, is someone elses fault you missed the tour at the time you booked.
If you just read the voucher you could find all the information you need. If you show up late and/or without the documnts your tour will be automatically cancelled without the possibility of refund. We offered you an alternative but it wasn't enough i see.
