TONY was a fantastic guide!!! Our initial guide wasn’t able to make our scheduled morning tour (not their fault, weather/city flooding limited their commute) and I was impressed with the prompt communication / how the company handled the issue. They offered a morning group tour instead or an afternoon private tour with another group that had the same issue (we chose this option). My elderly mother loved his stories and he was good about finding spots for her to sit and rest. Tony was so efficient at navigating buying tickets and all the security checkpoints so it wasn’t stressful for us at all. Forbidden city is so huge that we were happy to have a guide to lead us around. Highly recommend!

Candice is probably the best tour guide I’ve ever had in China. She’s so fluent in English and explaining things so well. We enjoyed a lot during our tour at the forbidden city. Kids learned so much about the culture and history. We will certainly book a trip with her again.

Highly recommend this trip. Our driver Nicholas was amazing and very helpful throughout. Great communication and driving. Could not have been more helpful, and very friendly. We had an issue with the QR codes getting the chairlift up, but both Nicholas and Lily went the extra mile to resolve this. This section of the wall is well worth the trip. We also went to Jinshanling wall and they are quite different so worth doing both. Chairlift up and toboggan down added some fun to the amazing experience. Thank you Nicholas!! Paul

Linda, our guide, was absolutely amazing. She was kind and considerate, friendly and a wealth of knowledge about these significant Beijing landmarks. Mr Liu, our driver, was the best driver - patient despite the traffic, calm, and he made sure that we had plenty if water to stay hydrated in the hot conditions. I recently completed a 2-day private tour of Beijing, and it was an unforgettable experience. She brought history to life, sharing fascinating stories about China and the various emperors as we explored the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, and the Great Wall. ​The travel logistics were seamless thanks to Mr. Su, and the dining experiences were a highlight as well. Traveled with the family in late June. You need to be in pretty good physical condition for this tour as the terrain here is fairly steep. Cindy our guide was great in navigating us. The kids enjoyed the toboggan ride down the wall after the climb. The panda experience was sort of a miss because when we arrived only two of the pandas were available to be seen, the other ones were asleep. Since we were in a private group, we asked for the non-buffet lunch and Cindy brought us to a local restaurant to try traditional dishes to the area which I would highly recommend.

If you're visiting the Great Wall at Mutianyu, book with Ken — you won't regret it! Ken was punctual, friendly, and made the whole day feel effortless. What truly set him apart was how far he went — literally. He accompanied me all the way up to Tower 23, which is no small feat, showing incredible dedication and genuine enthusiasm throughout the day. Our guide was Maggie, she’s very knowledgeable & a fluent English speaker. She brought the history of the Great Wall & Summer Palace to life for us, connecting the history we learnt in the forbidden city 2 days before. You will gain so much more by having a guide, plus of course the local knowledge she shared with us all. The great wall is just that, great, an amazing feat of construction in a mountain top location, very well restored with stunning views. There’s a lot of steps but it’s so worth it & less crowded than the other common location to visit. We went up by chairlift, great views & chose the toboggan ride to come down, good fun! The summer palace is well worth a visit, the centre piece being the huge lake & the world’s longest corridor. Set in beautiful gardens, the summer residence of the Emporers. A great day with a great guide!
