I travelled to Normandie with my 14 yo son to see WWII historical sites and to learn. We wanted to do a Classic Jeep Tour and I definitely chose well by booking with GoldBeach. We were so fortunate to have gotten Eric as our expert guide and smooth “double-clutcher”. He gives tours but I see that WWII history - preserving this knowledge and teaching it - is his true passion. It showed through on this tour, as we drove back roads through the French countryside and he spoke of individuals and waves of men fighting there, the challenges they faced, and the overall strategy for taking the German strong holds. Eric was able to make the story come alive with the landscape. I’d recommend the afternoon tour as the sun was golden in the fields and off the memorials in the cemetery. We went to the British Cemetery as he tailored our tour based on places we wouldn’t see the next day on another tour. We were taking. However, it was this tour that was so interactive and memorable. W60 was a strong hold on Omaha that he took us to. Also unique to this tour, my son and I loved going into the tunnels and mortars there and going into the woods to check out a gun post. Eric was so personable; having discussions with him was a pleasure for me and my son.

Be prepared to let the driver know what you've seen and what you would like to see. My spouse didn't bring a hair tie, which would've helped. Our driver Phillip was terrific and did a great job getting off the main roads of tourists to give us a unique experience.

A very interesting tour - for all ages. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and included many real life stories to help illustrate the DDay landings for my teenaged daughter. Riding in the WW2 jeep was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful experience. Pickup at our hotel was right on time. We had seen some of the sights in a previous tour so David quickly came up with a new plan for sights to see. Riding through the beautiful Normandy countryside in an open top WW2 jeep was a thrill.

I cannot say enough good about this tour. We were in France for 10 days and this was the highlight of our trip. Thomas was an excellent guide very knowledgeable and engaging. He even found information on my grandfather who was a ranger on Dday. The amount of time was perfect . So much better than a large group tour and the WWII jeep was an additional feature that we loved

Amazing tour of the Normandy coast in our WWII Jeep! You get to travel back in time and explore the battles of D-day! It was powerful and emotional to walk the beaches where our brave men fought! With this tour I got visit the grave of my young cousin that was killed in this battle at the Normandy American Cemetery! Would highly recommend this Jeep tour! Our guide did an amazing job!

This tour was worth every penny. Sitting in an authentic military vehicle gave us a better perspective and visualization of the entire tour. Vincent gave a thorough explanation of the historical events of Dday and combined it with interesting stories of people's real life occurrences during the war. The photos he showed gave us a visusl of the sacrifices endured. His ability to provide the technical aspect of the artillary was helpful in understanding the history that occured. As we came upon the hedge rows, he stopped the jeep to explain the german tactics for destroying the column which gave us a feel for what it was like.
We would highly recommend this tour for those that want a boots on the ground understanding of wwii.

This was the best and engaging tour my family went on during our time in Normandy. The guide was informative, we never felt rushed and everyone loved riding in the jeep. It was a very emotional trip and at the end of the tour we made it for the TAPS ceremony in the American cementary which was very moving.

What an amazing experience. My son and husband love history and this tour definitely fueled their passion. David is an amazing tour guide, providing information, and answering questions. Driving in a WW II keep through the backroads is a one of kind experience. After reading the reviews, I had high expectations and David surpassed them. A must do tour.

It was an awakening experience to see where the D-Day invasion took place. Riding in the jeep made it very special, getting a better perspective of what the soldiers of both the Allies and the Germans where experiencing. Our driver, Arnold, was very knowledgeable about the invasion giving us a better understanding of what took place that day.

We had an amazing time! Phillippe was a great guide! He was really knowledgeable about D Day and world War ll in general. Do take a jacket, it get's chilly on the ride. I had on shorts and a tank top, he was nice enough to stop so I could buy a jacket. Seeing the cemetary and the American flag ceremony was very moving! It really puts it in perspective. Highly reccomend!
