In the afternoon, meet your guide and group in central Avignon, hop aboard a comfortable minivan, and set off to enjoy the scenic ride.
Travel south through the vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, one of France's most famous appellations, located in the Rhône Valley. Marvel at the rolling vineyards that produce varietals such as cinsault, grenache, and syrah.
Upon arrival in the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, enjoy tastings at two different wineries. Learn about the region’s rich viniculture and terroir, and taste a selection of red and white fine wines.
Enjoy time to purchase some traditional souvenirs or bottles of wine before heading back to Avignon.

This is the most conflicted review I’ve written on viator. The tour guide was great. If you are a novice wine drinker there is fun stuff here. That said the wine was good and the sommeliers knew their stuff.
However the price of this tour was outrageous at over 100 and for its value it get a 2. This brings down the overall score. There have to be better values in CDP. If money is not a concern the wines themselves were good but not outstanding. The prices for the bottles vs in the IS were not great deals.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Adam. He was extremely knowledgeable, witty and really made it a wonderful afternoon for us. It was a perfect introduction to the Châteauneuf du Pape region. Highly recommend!

Ask for Joe! His energy and humor made the day entertaining and fun. While the wineries were different, The first half of the tour and the second half were repetitive. It would've have been nice to have seen something uniquely different. I would recommend this tour to everyone.

Our tour guide Adam had an excellent knowledge of the CHateau Neuf Du Pape region and it's wines as well as those of the Rhone valley as well. The two tastings we did were extremely good especially at Chateau Fortia. Adam was also very knowledge about the history of the area and gave us a very good narrative explaining it and it's relationship to the wines of the region. Excellent trip.

The wineries were lovely, the driver was very pleasant and the van was nice and roomy. However, for a small tour we had to wait half an hour for an other tour van to arrive at the second winery before they would start the tour. We were left milling around in their shop with no real interaction with staff or guide.

This was a wonderful tour. Our guide was well-informed, charming, and funny. The tour was informative with great tastings, but not overwhelming or exhausting. Bring snacks (crackers or something) because there are none on the tour.

Absolutely an amazing wine tour in Chateaunuef de pape. We had Nicholas as our tour guide and he was full of knowledge and made the wine tour experience more enjoyable. Him and the other guides were also very efficient too, which we can really appreciate. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely the best way to learn about the Rhône Valley wine industry especially Chateaudeneuf de Pape. Very knowledgeable local guide answered all questions, timed activities well & chose excellent sites for our itinerary. At end of tour even helped us with restaurants nearby for dinner. Her guide services went above & beyond. Highly recommend this wine tour.

It was a great afternoon with a really good guide who managed to mix history, humour and knowledge all into a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Martine was great . The 2 tastings were good but the first definitely was better. I’d definitely recommend doing this tour instead of going to a wine area as complicated as Chateau NDP by yourself.
