This tour was so much more than a normal wine tasting. Our guide Arlo was very knowledgeable on the wines in Provence and the smaller regions. It gave us a deeper appreciation wine making. The lunch with local food was a highlight. The wine area of Chateauneuf du Pape is beautiful. We had such an enjoyable day.

This was our second tour with Araund and he didn’t disappoint. He’s extremely knowledgeable and you can tell his passion for wines. He was informative without being obtuse. The three wineries were all different enough to give a nice overview and selection of wines to taste. All in all a great day!

Our driver and guide Arnoux, is a very knowledgeable wine guy who truly loves showing the sun-drenched vineyards of Chateauneuf du Pape, Beaumes de Venise
and Gigondas.

A nice excursion from Avignon to three different wine regions nearby. Great tasting experiences and a lovely picnic lunch with local products. Our host was very knowledgeable and congenial. I live in Sonoma County in California and have had many wine tasting experiences and I was impressed with this tour.

The Chateauneuf-du-Pape wine tour was amazing from start to finish. Arnoud our guide was from the area and is doing a job he truly loves. He was very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome and comfortable visiting the three wineries our tour. You could tell that he had a great relationship with the wineries and that they were comfortable letting him show us around some of their behind the scenes areas. His commentary fit well with their history of each winery, and our group gained a lot of knowledge about each wine and the hard work that went into its production. We had a picnic lunch provided by our guide with a selection of foods native to the area that were all delicious. Probably the best wine tour I have experienced, and that is saying a lot.

I really loved this tour! It was very informative and I certainly learned a lot from our guide, who was a really lovely guy. He cared so much for the guests and was very attentive and keen to ensure we all had a good time. He took us to some very unusual and different wineries and we tasted a very wide variety of different wines. If anyone is reading this to try and decide whether to book onto the tour, I’d say, just do it! You won’t be disappointed.

It was a great experience in a 4 people group. Arnaud was personable, kind, and knowledgeable about the region and wines. He brought us local produce from his hometown for lunch, which was very tasty. We visited 3 different wineries and tasted a lot of wines, learnt quite a lot about wine making. We met awesome local folks who were very friendly. It was great to have an almost private tour without huge crowds. Big cudos to our guide Arnaud who did an excellent job! It’s not a tour run by a big company, it’s Arnaud’s small business venture. I believe that made the experience a lot more memorable and personable. Highly recommend.

It was our first trip to France. We went specifically for wine tasting in the Southern Rhone region. We first booked the Ventourisme Wines from Châteauneuf-du-Pape and surrounding areas 1/2 day tour through Viator. It far exceeded our expectations! We ended up spending three days (3 wine tours) with Arnaud from Ventourisme and were not disappointed. I have to begin by saying, we had no experience booking our own tours abroad. We typically use a travel agent. This time we did it on our own. I always read the reviews, and I am often skeptical of reviews that are too favorable. That notwithstanding, I am providing an outstanding review because our experience with Arnaud deserves the highest marks and praise.
Over the course of the three days we were taken to nine different wineries, all varying in wines, family history, and from several Appalachians. The routes taken to get to each winery provided beautiful views of France. Arnaud provide detailed information on the landscapes, climate, and plants along the way. He also provided thorough information on each of the wineries; owners, family history, wine varietals, and what blends we would be tasting at each winery. We learned that we were not very knowledgeable on French wines. Arnaud passed along a significant amount of information that allowed us to appreciate each of the tasting. Each day a local picnic lunch was provide sourced with local ingredients including; fresh goat cheese from a friend’s farm, fresh hard-boiled eggs from a friend’s chickens, freshly made juices, local tapenades, local sourced products on a charcuterie board, homemade white boar pate, vegetables from Arnaud’s family garden, etc. It was fabulous. My husband has a lot of food allergies, we provide Arnaud a list of items he couldn’t eat, and Arnaud was respectful and made sure each day he could eat the picnic lunch.
All in all we had and incredible time thanks to all the work and effort from Arnaud. We highly recommend his company and tours. Should we find ourselves in the south of France again we will definitely book with Ventourisme and Arnaud.

Our pleasant tour guide was very knowledgeable about the wines and the area. The variety of wineries chosen was interesting and of good quality. There were some negatives, including a van that was uncomfortable for the people in the far back, who also couldn’t hear the guide. The picnic that was advertised for this tour also didn’t occur. Communication about tour changes such as this should be disclosed.

The wine tasting trip could not have been better. The guide was knowledgeable and passionate about cote de Rhône wines. Well worth the price if you want a wonderful and entertaining introduction to one of the most important wine regions in France.

This trip through the Rhone Valley was even better than expected. Our guide, Armand, was friendly and knowledgeable. He gave just the right amount of information and did not talk incessantly (as a guide in Burgundy did).
He structured the tour well and let the wines and winemakers speak for themselves.
We visited three representative wineries in the region. At the end of the tasting at the second winery Armand provided a tasting of home grown and local produce. A nice touch and very necessary.
The three wineries were all good in their own way from the small family run with good, well priced wines to the large conglomerate with high quality wines at prices to match.
A well thought out wine tour that is well worth the money.

We had a great time at three tastings and a nice picnic lunch in the Chateauneuf Du Pape region of Cote Du Rhone. Our guide was great and the value was excellent. No worries of having to drive either. We also met the families that own and operated the vineyards, up to the tenth generation. Overall, highly recommend.

My husband and I came here on our honeymoon in August 2023, I regret that time got away from us in writing reviews but I had to come back and write a review for this truly fantastic tour. (My husband and I are pictured in the 4th picture for this event 😄.) This was hands down our favorite thing we did in France and by far my favorite Viator tour. I loved how this was a small group experience and not a big bus/big group experience. The wineries were friendly and extremely informative and the wine was delicious, we ended up buying several bottles to take home. Arnaud is an excellent tour guide and we can't thank him enough for this wonderful experience and memory. We hope to be back!
