The Aloe Factory tour, Casabari Rock, Gold Mine Ruins, California lighthouse and Arashi Beach were great to visit. Peter was a great tour guide!!

We were told the wrong area to find the tour bus when we got off the ship. We were then redirected 3 times until we found the pickup place. The operator had already left. A local guide contacted the tour company and the driver was gracious enough to come back and pick us up so we were very appreciative. 1st stop was the Aloe Factory which was fantastic, followed by the rock formations. Again, great experience and this is when it turned for the worst. We learned more about his family, his daughter's German Shepards, how he was going to "petition the gov't tomorrow" on his day off for various person causes, including allowing people to climb all over the fort by the gold mine.... Very opinionated and didn't hesitate to share. Drove slower than molasses. He told us we would have an hour at the beach. By the end of the tour it was clear that we would have no time bc we needed to get back before boarding the ship. He gave a few people a hard time wanting to stay at the beach and having to come back and pick them up, even though that is what he said he would do. Once they left the bus he approached a few of the passengers and spoke negatively about those that asked to get off making comments about their nationality. Th route back the ship was one long strip of hotels in which we learned more about the hotels than the history and culture of Aruba.
We booked this experience to learn about Aruba from a local. The culture, the history, what makes the island so special. We were very disappointed in the quality of the tour and was anxious to finish, which was an hour later than anticipated. We would have been better off getting a taxi and exploring on our own. Very disappointed.

The tour itself was ok but the biggest issue was Viator and the tour operator were not on the same page. I reserved this tour for a family of 4 a month before our cruise to Aruba and paid Viator the week before and received all confirmation. We informed them we need to be picked up at the cruise port in Aruba at 8:30 AM.
We got off the ship and saw one EL Tour person and we thought he was the contact but he had NO IDEA that we were supposed to be on a tour. He had to text someone to find out what happened and then he took off with his tour. We were there waiting for 30 minutes until another bus came by to pick up us to another drop off point where we met up with the actual bus tour.
This made for very stressful visit to Aruba when everything should have been arranged easily ahead of time..
I recommend people either not book with this operator or don't go through Viator as they are not on the same page.

The guide Peter was great. But the tour was a waste of time. The bus was so old and rickety. It was dirty and rusty and very worn out and very uncomfortable. There is nothing to see in Aruba. The beach visit was awful. It’s an unpleasant public beach.

Johann was an excellent tour guide, showing us the highlights of the island. He was very knowledgeable and shared interesting facts about Aruba, the culture, the resilience of the people who depend on tourism. My highlight was the aloe factory (Aruba Aloe) which processes aloe farmed on their plantation and makes a variety of lotions using a low tech process. I also enjoyed our stop at the tiny chapel. The beaches are very pretty and are all public. The tour was scheduled to be 4 hours but the majority of us opted to forego the last hour at the beach after an excellent 3 hour tour.

I enjoyed the tour. Peter was very knowledgeable of the island and kept us entertained along the way. He allowed us to spend a reasonable amount of time at each site, however I wish we could have spent a little more time at the beach. It was a very nice experience and I recommend it.

Very cool, nice little adventure from resort. We really enjoyed the rock climb and seeing the little natural bridge. The natural bridge that Aruba treasured unfortunately collapsed in 2005.

Tour was nice but I don't like our tour guide. Peter. We were picked up from the by another guy ( he was very nice) but when we get to the Aloe Vera factory to meet with our tour group, the tour guide was just seating there and not telling us where to go. We just follow where the other group were going. He was a little rude in some conversation.

Jason was our tour guide, I love his voice and the many information he was able to share with us about Aruba. I love our tour and it was comfortable being in the AC vehicle. We only had 8 people in our tour, a family of 6 and my bf & I. Jason was extremely knowledgeable, hence that’s why I have 2 stars. He also gave us a bottle of cold water each. The reason I rate my experience as poor is because when I booked this trip it was more expensive than other tours. I also booked this with the impression that we will be going to Arashi beach for an hour with snorkeling equipments included as per description. HOWEVER, the tour was everything BUT the beach. We did pass by it on the way back to our hotel. But we did not stop there nor spend anytime at that beach. My bf and I packed a book bag to prep us for our beach day and snorkeling. If we knew the trip did not include Arashi beach/snorkeling, I could’ve signed up for a different tour or not pack or wear a swimming suit underneath. Nonetheless JASON was amazing. Just wasn’t the full excursion we expected or booked.

We really enjoyed this trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable and the Island was beautiful. We went to a lovely beach and the snorkel equipment was not leaky and easy to use. There was not a lot to see but it was fun. Our ship was over an hour late docking. The local tour people were still there and the tour was not cut short or rushed. All in all it was a five star day.

What's not to like about Aruba? If this is your first time to this island, then the tour generally visits every place of reference, except for the Ostrich Farm. We enjoyed the Aloe Factory the unusual rock formations, the lighthouse, etc. This tour ends with a 45 minute stop at the beach however, 7 out of the 9 people on this tour preferred shopping in the city. This beach was extremely crowded and not enough shade on a very hot day. The tour guide was excellent.

Our tour guide was Clifford. He started out all right but as the tour progressed, it seemed more and more obvious that he was not telling factual information. I take these tours to learn about the places we are visiting. The last straw was when he told us that the shipwreck in front of the light house was caused by it responding to the distress signal from the titanic. I was telling my husband that that was the last straw when he was challenged by the women in front saying that could not be true. He was irritated with her and said the tour director didn't lie. Made a big deal about it. Later, he asked us all if we still wanted to go to the beach. Everyone that had signed up for it said yes. He told us to rethink it and he'd be back to us. He after talking about nothing another 10 minutes, he went around again, asked us all again, and everyone but 1 said no, take us back. I was excited about the beach, but did not trust him to back and get us the way he was acting. He dropped the 1 couple off at a entirely different beach than we told we were going to. The tour lasted about 4.5 hours instead of 3, and we never even got to the each. Such a waste of time. Do not book this tour! Everyone on the bus was fedupbythe tie it was over

This tour provided a great way to see the island and learn more about it. Clifford, our tour guide was is very proud of his island, and did not mind taking numerous questions about it. He proved to be quite knowledgeable. The views and experience were amazing, and the hotel pick up made the tour very convenient.
