This is actually a narrated shuttle from beach to beach with use of snorkeling gear. They do not help nor guide you in the water.
Our guide brought us to the listed beaches. She also narrated the trip telling us about the history and workings of the island. She was knowledgeable, very nice, and fun to spend the afternoon with. After swimming at the first two beaches, we decided we were more interested in seeing more of the island with our guide, so we didn't swim again. She brought us around the island and educated us on Aruba's lifestyle. Although not what we expected, we had a great time.
Something to note - All beaches in Aruba are public. There will be people at every beach. We went on a Sunday. I would suggest this trip for a weekday hoping to get away from the crowds.
I would suggest this trip for a group of friends or for a family.

It was pouring rain and cool. Streets were flooded and it rained with no sun the entire time. The rain let up on the last stop at Baby beach. It rained hard on our way back to the hotel. I was with my husband and two teenage grandchildren. My granddaughter never got in the water and only got out when we at Baby beach. She was cold. My husband got in the water once.
I was sure I would be contacted with at least with option of another day. Because stated on the cancellation policy is "This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund." I was surprised that is was not cancelled by Chogogo. I thank at least a partial refund would be fair. Our tour guides very accommodating, considering the dealing with driving in the bad weather. I know there is no way one can control the weather but our tour was not until 1:30.

Spent most of the time in the van driving around. Visited three public (not "secret") beaches. One was a cliff (no beach) overlooking an area where you can (hopefully) see sea turtles. The second public beach we skipped as it didn't appear safe for our young children. The last beach was a nice, albeit very crowded public beach, but at that point we were just ready to go back to our hotel. Would avoid.

I booked this private tour for our family months ago. We were a group of six adults and five small children, so flexibility and a slower pace were important. The tour operator assured us it would only be our family participating and that we could have flexibility with the pacing and itinerary.
Six days prior to the tour, the tour operator called and told me that another family would be joining us on the tour. "Not a big group", she assured me. "Just one more family.". I told her we had booked a PRIVATE tour and did NOT want another family joining us, but she refused to take no for an answer. She continued to press me, and I continued to say No. We had booked a private tour for a number of reasons and did NOT want another family joining us. The conversation was exhausting, as she WOULD NOT GIVE UP. She then pressured me to cancel my booking with Viator and rebook through their website. Despite her repeated attempts, I refused to cancel my Viator booking. It was an incredibly frustrating and worrying call.
When we showed up the morning of our tour, the operator was there with two vehicles, one for our family and another bus for the other group who had signed up for the tour. Our family would be in a separate vehicle, but we'd be "tag-teaming" with the other group, moving from one beach to another to another. We explained that, with five small children, trying to move from beach to beach to beach (40 minutes at each beach) would be difficult. We asked to spend our entire time at one of the three beaches, rather than move from one beach to the next, etc. The guide recommended one of the three beaches as being best for small children, took us there, and helped us get set up.
At 11am, the guide told us he was going to pick up the local snacks that are included in the tour. He promised he'd be back in 20 minutes.
ONE HOUR AND 40 MINUTES LATER, he returns, and announces that we need to pack up and leave the beach immediately, as we're out of time. When I ask what happened and why he was so late, he LAUGHED and said he'd been chatting with his boss the entire time. He said that because we didn't want to travel with the other group from beach to beach to beach, it had been a problem for his boss and we'd need to eat our snacks on the bus.
This may be described as a "private" tour, but rest assured that if another group also books, you'll be tag teaming your day with them in a locked itinerary. Also, be prepared to be pressured to cancel your Viator booking and/or include others in your "private" tour. Forewarned is forearmed.

As a private tour, we strive to offer flexibility tailored to your preferences. We reached out before your tour to see if you might be interested in joining another family tour, considering the unique circumstances of New Year’s Day when many establishments are closed. However, we understood and respected your decision to keep the tour you booked, and no changes were made to your reservation.
On the day of your tour, we had a total of five private tours operating. If you saw another bus near yours, we assure you that the groups were completely separate, as we do not combine private tours under any circumstances.
Your choice of Baby Beach as the sole destination was fully honored, as we aim to align our itineraries with our guests’ preferences. We acknowledge that the closure of certain establishments on January 1st presented challenges, such as delays at the restaurant providing local snacks. We attempted to contact you to inform you of a brief 10-minute delay but, unfortunately, we could not reach you. When the guide returned to Baby Beach after 45 minutes with your freshly baked local snacks, we added additional time to the tour to ensure you could fully enjoy the experience.
Our Beach Hopping Tour is one of the most popular options among our guests, as it showcases the best of Aruba’s beautiful coastline, which is reflected in our 5-star ratings. While we regret that this exploration element may not have aligned with your expectations, we appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our offerings.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for any aspects of the tour that fell short of your satisfaction. Should you visit Aruba in the future, we would love the opportunity to provide you and your family with an even more memorable and personalized experience.

We had a great experience with Chogogo tours on a cruise stop in Aruba. Great communication before the stop, meet up was simple, our guide was very friendly and helpful. We loved the drinks and snack box and all of the snorkeling and additional info. The guide was very accommodating. We really loved the art district, we were focused on snorkeling when we booked so the art district was a cool surprise with lots of cool photo opps. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a tour in Aruba.

What a great day! Amos was a wonderful host. We visited three beaches and drove almost the entire island. The snorkeling was fantastic especially at Mangel Halto. We saw amazing marine life. Amos put us completely at ease and shared his deep insight into the island - and made us laugh too!

John made our first time in Aruba one we will never forget! He was super kind and funny and shared so much knowledge about the island. We got a local snack box to try local foods and we did a ton of snorkeling and even swam with some turtles! Absolutely recommend!

This tour exceeded expectations beer knew we were going to visit 3 beaches, but what we got was a tour of the island to places we didn’t read about in the visitor’s guide. We saw the best of the tourist areas, turtles, fish, crabs, and other “wildlife”, a few local towns including one that is the art center of the island, and three drastically different but equally beautiful beaches. John, our guide, had extensive knowledge about the island, and stopped for local snacks that were a delicious taste of what the locals like to eat. We booked this as part of our cruise stop, but we plan come back for a land vacation and plan to book with this company again.

We had the best guide/ driver whose name was John. He took us to 3 snorkel spots and directed us how to get in and out of the water to see the most fish. We saw a turtle, a big one, too. He took us to places we have never been, even though we have been time share owners for 20 years and we come every year to Aruba. We loved all the wall murals in San Nickolas and Santa Cruz. We had such a great time. He made good drinks for us and we had a snack of local favorites. My one suggestion is to provide flippers to snorkel as we encountered strong tide and with no flippers we had to swim hard against the current. All in all I’d give this tour and John, a 10 !!!Kathy

Archie was fantastic! He gave us a nice tour while going from beach to beach. He was knowledgeable in the best snorkeling spots at each location. Plus, he was pleasant to talk to - We enjoyed his company. Best of all, Baby Beach was included - the snorkeling was awesome! I'd recommend this tour to anyone. We really enjoyed ourselves!

Archel made this the best trip! He took us to an area with sea turtles and showed us how to spot them. He stood on the shoreline and pointed us in the right direction while snorkeling. We went to a few other snorkeling spots. Very knowledgeable about the island and super friendly.

Our tour guide, Michael, did a fabulous job taking us to three different beaches and snorkeling with us. We saw lots of cool fish. We also ate very good authentic food. He provided rum punch, soda and water. He stopped at a few places so we could take more pictures. Michael was very informative. We were happy he chose to spend his day off with us.

We loved our tour with Archel. We felt safe and looked after and he is a wonderful guide. His choice of Baby Beach and Boca Catalina were fantastic for stops. We even got in some pics of the fofoti trees and mural art in San.Nicolas. The Dutch snack was tasty. What a day....we could not have asked for better.

El tour es bueno para conocer las playas de Aruba pero nos hubiera gustado que nos hicieran sugerencias de visita y no que estuviera ya definido. También que el chico que nos acompañó nos hubiera dejado un poco de privacidad al hablar. Fuera de eso, todo muy bien. Fue amable y nos ofrecía bebidas y la van en muy buen estado.
