This was a totally awesome experience!! It was our favorite thing we did in Amsterdam!! It was very exhilarating and informative, I would highly recommend this tour! Donnie, our guide, was great to help us get oriented on our bikes in this busy city, took us to the best cookie place we have ever been to! We loved that it was a private tour, pay the extra and enjoy it!!

Ask for Annett, she was so nice and so well versed as a tour guide. She took us everywhere, and it didn’t hurt that she is an amazing photographer!!!

Our flight was delayed and we could not get the the guide to switch to another day or time. We paid for a private tour that we did not get to enjoy.

We did a 2.5 hr tour w Anna with 4 people (including x 10 year old). It was great! After we mentioned that we wanted to do something a little less intense than the old city, she took us north across the river and through some villages in the relative countryside. Perfect!

To handle bikes without handbrakes was a new experience for us. Hence, we decided to start our trip outside the city center. Our tour guide brought us to quite interesting places (such as the Scheepvaartmuseum, near the zoo, Protestanztse Kerk Amsterdam, etc.) We quickly recognized that our tour-guide was not even slightly literate of Amsterdam’s history or any of the objects seen. (such as surly key historical buildings/museums)
Nevertheless, we are still glad that we booked this bike tour – but next time we will insist on better bicycle and a professional tour guide…

We walked to Star bikes for our excursion and they were not ready. The tour guide they/you hired did not show up. They had no backup plan. We waited around for an hour and they finally said sorry and sent us back to our hotel. We planned our trip for months and this was our first experience in Amsterdam.

We had a great time and Sebastian was a lot of fun to be with for the afternoon.
The bike tour wandered around the old city and didn’t really go past the major landmarks such as Central Station or Dam Square, but seemed to double back on itself in the wandering recovering previously traveled streets. A bit more planning and defined itinerary would be beneficial. However, I can’t put the burden for that on Sebastian as we did not articulate any specific desires, and I’m sure if I had mentioned a few priorities Sebastian would have happily incorporated them into our ride.

Arun was helpful and a good guide with interesting tidbits of info. It was so helpful to learn the rules of cycling in Amsterdam which were not always obvious. Having a guide was so much easier that going alone.

This private bike tour is a great way to see the various areas of Amsterdam and get a feel for the city. We felt like one of the locals riding our Dutch-style bikes (careful: backwards pedal to break!) and exploring a larger area in a short time. Our guide wove historical and cultural tidbits throughout our tour and it was a morning well spent.

Sebastian was awesome!! Really nice guy and super knowledgeable about the city. He really took the time to show us Amsterdam in a personal and informative way. It's the smaller detailed things you learn with a knowledgeable guide that makes all the difference in the world. I've been to Amsterdam before but he had me see it in a brand new light and helped my wife really appreciate the city for her first visit. Can't say enough about what a great tour it was. Defiantly ask for Sebastian if you do one of these private bike tours.

Marten is an excellent guide. Friendly and knowledgeable, he easily put all of us at ease. He has many interesting anecdotes to share about life in Amsterdam and the Netherlands, and is very good at keeping you interested in every place you stop. He also has good recommendations on places to visit or restaurants to patronize. The tour is an excellent way to see Amsterdam like the locals do.

I booked a private book tour for New Year's Day at 11 a.m.. Turns out the tour was not operating that day, but I didn't find out until I arrived at the bike rental shop which was also closed. Lucky for me the owner happened to be there so she let me in from the cold while I sorted out what happened. The bike rental shop was lovely, but she was pretty much the only silver lining.

What a way to see the city! Our guide was so awesome. We were 45 min late (I got my times mixed up) and then we had to cut the tour a bit short because we had last minute tickets to the Anne Frank Museum but the guide was really cool about it and made it work. And I was not an easy tourist to work with - I could barely ride a bike but he was so understanding about it, making me feel at ease.
If you're in Amsterdam, this is an absolute MUST!!!!!

We did a 3 hour private bike tour with Arun (sp?). He was a great guide, very informative. We were a little nervous about 3 hours on a bike but there were intermittent stops and the biking was easy and fun. Our guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.
