Overview

Enjoy a trip down the Algarve coast from Albufeira on this sunset safari. Depart in the evening and take a Land Rover to the central parts of the Algarve and see the rolling countryside filled with lush valleys and streams. Pickup details

Due to variations in the time of sunset throughout the year, the start time of the tour may change. We will inform clients of these changes in good time. We offer a pick-up and drop-off service outside the designated locations for an additional fee agreed in advance. The pick up location must be confirmed with us at least 24 hours before departure, so that we can indicate the pick up time. If the vehicle have an unexpected breakdown during the tour, we will not refund the money, we will give the customer the opportunity to take the selected tour on another day. Free pick ups within designated areas of Albufeira , other areas Will have an extra cost of 5 euros per person that should be paid to the driver in cash.

I absolutely LOVED the experience. I booked this as a surprise for my partner, and he fell in love with the experience and really enjoyed it. Our ride was in a jeep, and it was a private ride with just me and him (and the driver), which was really fun. We went off-road and also saw some things, like how corks were made, and looked at some types of trees. The driver went through a lot of history with us and even stopped by his favourite place for Pastel de Nata (which was delicious as well). We also had dinner at the place recommended, which was really nice. The trip to the hill was amazing. The view was amazing. The sunset was amazing. Honestly, everything was phenomenal. We arrived there earlier than other tourists, which was really great because we had the whole place to ourselves, and we took many pictures and videos. When other tourists arrived, everything became super busy and noisy. Hence, I am more than grateful that the driver brought us earlier so we could have our own private moment. I also really, really, really liked that it was just my partner and me because everything felt so special and so intimate, which I really loved. I genuinely recommend this experience!

We had such a great day. Carla is so funny and really knowledgeable. She showed us the best places and recommended us things to do for the rest of our trip. She’s very patient whilst we took pictures and had dinner. Would 100% recommend this trip to anyone

We had a female tour guide named Carla. She was very nice and I could tell she truly cared for me and my friend. The tour was super cool and Carla made sure we got the best experience by getting there 15 minutes before hand. Sadly there wasn't a full sunset view because of the clouds, but there was a hole, making the sunlight stream through it, which was also beautiful. It was a bit chilly up there, but me and my friend could withstand it because we're used to it. I would reccomend bringing some sort of jacket with you, though. After the tour we ate dinner which you pay 25 euro's for, and she brought us back to our meetingspot. She waited and made sure we safely got in our uber before driving off. Thank you so much Carla for this amazing experience

What an amazing day excursion! Carla was delightful, giving us so much information about Portugal, the people and wilderness. We took a lovely route through the countryside, stopping to discuss different plant and animal life. Was very interesting. I really enjoyed going up to the lookout point for sunset. The view was great including seeing wind turbines up close! Then dinner was at a beautiful restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Carla was an amazing host throughout the whole experience including deep discussion over dinner about life. The wine was delicious. We had the vegetarian option, all the food was fabulous. I couldn’t recommend Carla enough, she gave me a birthday I will always remember!

Lovely experience into portugals culture and history. The view for the sunset point was amazing, although very busy but we can see why! It’s a very personal excursion and our tour guide made it clear to the restaurant we wanted a romantic meal together and separated us from the others. Food was nice but could have done with some sauce for the chicken kebab! The cheese and honey was delicious! Chad was very friendly, chatty, informative and personally went to buy a non alcoholic drink to include me. Many thanks!

We saw some off-road places in a Land Rover, and watched a remarkable sunset from a high peak overlooking Mount Monchique. Stunning! Had a delicious traditional dinner at a rural restaurant with local folk dance and fado entertainment. It was a good ending to our vacation here in Portugal, and Carla and Jose were great hosts!

This experience is the best way to start or end your trip in albufeira!!! The guide Jorge was absolutely amazing, charming, entertaining, an absolute delight. We were a party of four plus another French passenger and though he knew minimum conversation French he still tried his best and never let her feel left out! We were picked up from our accommodation promptly and driven to our rugged terrain destination. Our first stop was the small town of Alte and had amazing tradition Alte almond pasty and the delicious Portuguese custard tart. Jorge had so much history and information to share, we absolutely loved it, there was never any awkward silence in our car journey. Even showed us how to tell when citrus fruit are ready. We’ve even take some fragrant citrus leaves back with us lol. The second half of the tour was absolutely mesmerising. Never seen a sunset like that. It was a pleasant surprise that unlike the other tours that had cava. We had an amazing class of port! Our final stop was a traditional Portuguese restaurant we’re we dined on some amazing bread, olives, garlic roasted carrots, peri peri chicken, red fish and the amazing goats cheese topped with walnuts and Portuguese honey!!!
