Such a fun and...

Such a fun and interesting experience, thanks to Carla, we explored so much of Algarvian history and culture, visiting a moorish castle, Roman bridges, rural towns, experiencing Portuguese life both past and present. We got to see and learn so much more than we anticipated. Definitely recommend if you like a rich cultural experience from rural towns, orange farms and more 😊

An Amazing 5-star Tour of the Algarve!

What an amazing tour of the Algarve's hidden treasures. Paolo was exceptional. I had difficulty getting into the truck. Paolo literally picked me up and put me in the front seat. He did this several times! Now that's five-star customer service! We enjoyed spectacular views, a delicious stop at a charming bakery, and lively conversation with our fellow passengers. The ride is a bit bumpy, but worth it!

Really nice to see the country side, visted some interesting places, springs in Alte were amazing. Loved the bakery. But the best part about the tour was the guide Carla, she was a absolute gem.

This tour was a perfect mix of education and adventure! Carla has an extensive knowledge of the culture and history of Portugal and we learned so much during our trip. The variety of terrain and vegetation is amazing and we never would have found some of the amazing places we visited if not for this trip. One of the highlights was a beautiful town called Alte where we visited a swimming hole, waterfall, and lovely bakery with a view of the countryside. After the trip I put a book on Moorish history in my Amazon cart! Thank you for piquing our interest in these amazing people!

Such a fun experience. Our tour guide took us all around and picked fruits off the trees for us to try. Gave us so much time to walk around and explore. So much history facts and he took us a lot of pictures as well. 10/10 Book this tour!!

Nine English speaking guide.

This was meant to have an English speaking tour guide & I’d read great things about Carla, however our tour guide although nice had limited English. This meant we didn’t learn much about the places we were going to & we’re just driven around. The places we saw were lovely but I wouldn’t do this tour again & feel our experience didn’t live up to previous reviewers. It was a lot of money for what we got.

Lovely Jeep Safari through rural Algarve

This was a great Jeep safari tour of rural Algarve in a vintage Land Rover. We were picked up from our hotel. There were seven of us in total. The driver cum guide Carla Silva was very friendly and knowledgeable. It is a great tour for people who love the flora and fauna. The drive thorough the country roads clearly excited by son. After brief stops to feed the pigs and appreciate the local vegetation, we stopped at the castle of Paderne. Carla explained the history very well. We stopped briefly at the lovely village nearby, where we visited the beautiful church. We then stopped at a farm with an organic farm shop, where we were introduced to the local produce like olives, carob, cork etc. at length. This was followed by a fascinating trip to a wind mill, the only functioning mill in Algarve that uses wind power to make flour. The gentleman took us through the working of the mill in detail and we took some lovely photos. The tour ended at a lovely cafe in the village of Alte with Roman ruins, before heading back to the hotel. The only slight downside is that as we were seated at the back row which was perpendicular to the front seats, we could only clearly see one side of the road. It would also be great if the guide could use a mic in the future, so that people sat at the back can hear clearly, despite the noise generated by the bumpy ride on the rough country road. A brief stop at the Roman ruins of Atte would have been great too (but we understand the time constraints). Overall, it was a really enjoyable trip that uncovered some gems that we may have otherwise missed.

Highly recommended tour company and trip. A wonderful excursion exploring the Algarve, nature, history, culture all wrapped up. Coffee and cake at a local cafe, a dip in a natural spring and various stops at local places. Gerard as our guide was fantastic, knowledgeable of the area and full of facts whilst being personable. Wish we’d done it earlier in the holiday. P.s Gerard, the answer is 800!

Very disappointing!!!

This is certainly not worth the money. The Safari tour is not meant for eight people. The truck is more meant for two couples and the driver four people in the back could not see nor could we hear the commentary because it was so loud it was a very disappointing excursion.

Truck??? The reservation that was made in this name was made for a Jeep Safari Tour, it was made with 8 passengers in a Land Rover Defender. Unless it's an ultra-modern Jeep, Jeeps are all noisy. When you say it should have been done for just four people, we have private tours where you don't share the jeep with anyone and if you wanted that you should have requested a private tour. Your disappointment makes no sense but we respect it.

This was absolutely the worst excursion I have ever been on. There were eight of us. Four were comfortably seated and four were crammed in the back of the safari jeep which made it very difficult to hear and very difficult to see anything. I would highly recommend not booking this one as it was very disappointing!!!

We are very sorry for your dissatisfaction. The jeeps are Land Rovers and have a maximum capacity for 8 passengers plus the driver, no one has ever complained at this level nor the customers who shared the jeep with you that day. As for not hearing or seeing anything, we make several stops to get out of the jeep and enjoy the landscapes, at points of interest we explain our history and the place, The time you spend in the jeep is minimal it is only during the route to the places. If you didn't want to share the jeep with anyone , you had the option of booking a private Tour. Thank you on behalf of the entire Zebra Safari Tours team.

Brilliant guides lovely areas. Been on 5 before. Bit sad wasn't a open top as had 2 teens with me. That's what they love. Plus couldn't see out at what the guide at the front was saying. But overall .. beautiful places. Lovely guides. Amazing knowledge xx

Excellent trip out into the countryside - recommended.

We booked for 2 adults and 2 young children. Luis was on time and brought car seats for the kids. He was an excellent guide for us and, even though we have lived here for a long time, gave us new, exciting facts throughout the tour. A nice balance between driving, relaxing, learning and bumping along. Definitely worth booking and thanks Luis for taking care of us.

Die Jeep Safari mit Jost, war einfach Super! Wir wurden pünktlich und sehr freundlich am vereinbarten Treffpunkt empfangen! Wir waren eine kleine Gruppe von 6 Leuten, die etwas mehr über das Landesinnere und seine Kultur kennenlernen wollten und genau das haben wir erhalten!
