Other than the Guadiana bridge itself and Ayamonte (which can easily be seen from the Portuguese riverbank) there was very little scenery of note. The seating on the boat was very hard and no cushions provided (take a towel or similar to make it more comfortable). The instructions said take a change of clothes and a towel so we thought we might get wet. What wasn’t clear that what was meant was that swimming was available at the lunch venue and so should have said swimming gear and a towel. Very unlikely to get wet on the boat.
Lunch was reasonable if basic (soup, salad and chicken and an orange for sweet) with a good service and more food and wine provided as required. A big effort was made by our hosts with regard to musical entertainment during an after the meal.
Our guide Esther was excellent although the tannoy system on the boat was far from ideal. Going upriver (out of wind) it was hard to hear over and above the engine noise and other passengers continuing their conversations (particularly bad in multi lingual environments). Our return trip was better (going into wind) as the engine noise was blown away and thus considerably reduced.
Overall a reasonable trip for adults but would not particularly recommend for children.

The day was good, lunch was excellent & the Portuguese music/singing was delightful.
The boat leaving 45 minutes late was annoying.

I wasn't blown away with this tour. We were told to be there at 9.15 only to be told we were only sailing at 10 and even then it didn't leave until 10.15. Very annoying to have tour cut short. The rest of the tour was OK but definitely not worth the cost.

Great trip and well organised. Staff amazing especially Marco the bar man on the boat.
Prices for drink a little expensive, but on the whole a very good overall experience

The bilingual Tour Guide Esther, was lovely and very knowledgeable on local facts! Snacks and hot/cold drinks available to buy during the cruise. The history of the village we stopped at for lunch, was really interesting. The lunch itself was very tasty - as vegans, we were able to eat fresh cultural vegetable soup, soda bread, boiled salad potatoes (with skin) and a salad of lettuce, onion and peppers, with extra virgin olive oil - all delicious! Local red and white wines and water were available throughout the lunch
and dessert was locally grown (very delicious) oranges. For the non vegans, the lunch included roast chicken and local goat's cheese. There was cultural entertainment and singing after lunch. A lovely day out.

Nice boat, friendly staff. The views are nice. The stop at Quinta do Rio was great. A pool and a bar. Especially the lunch with local cheese and chicken was a treat. Live music and a great atmosphere.

Well worth doing. The boat journey was very pleasant, but the best experience was the enthusiasm of the staff at the restaurant. Very entertaining!. The food was ok and there was plenty to consume.

Rien a voir sur les bords du fleuve. Il eut ete appreciable de naviguer jusqu a Alcoutim, tres joli petit village. Heureusement que le repas etait bon ainsi que son animation. La guide multilingue etait tres bien ainsi que le chanteur a bord du bateau au retour.

Sehr gute Organisation. Eine fröhliche und kompetente Guide‘in, bei der ich mich sehr gut betreut fühlte. Die Flussfahrt war entspannt und unspektakulär. Am Stopp angekommen, gibt es einen Busshuttle für Leute, die nicht gut zu Fuß sind. Wunderbar der Pool zum Erfrischen. Getränke für normale Preise, konnten erworben werden, sogar alkoholfreies Bier (1,50€). Genügend Zeit zum Schwimmen und genießen war vorhanden. Das Essen (Salat, Kartoffeln, Hähnchen, Rot- und Weißwein sowie Melone) so viel man wollte! Der Service und die musikalische Gestaltung drumherum, waren für mich ebenso, ein Genuss! U.a. an das Herz gehender Fado (Balada da Despedida). Abschließend sang der gesamte Service wunderschön im Chor! Gern werde ich diese Fahrt immer wieder machen. 👏👏👏

A los niños les gustó sobre todo el viaje en barco a través del río Guadiana y poder disfrutar de la piscina que había en el restaurante.
Fue un día fantástico, tanto para los adultos como para los niños.

Un bon moment sur la bateau, équipe très à l'écoute et for sympathique.
Le repas super, copieux, produits locaux et très bons, salle fraîche, personnel souriant et agréable.
Le lieu d'arrêt est agréable avec la piscine et la vue sur le fleuve, un temps de repos avant le repas très apprécié.
Au moment du repas, la musique traditionnelle portugaise, le Fado ; un super moment.
Je recommande si vous êtes dans le coin.

Passeio muito agradável e divertido, com assistentes muito simpáticos desde o embarque até ao fim. Paisagem magnífica pelo rio, e tempo na Quinta com agradável mergulho na piscina e almoço muito animado.
