Countryside Tour away from Tourists

Carlos is very personable and proud of his heritage. He geared the tour to things we hadn’t experience. We opted for the countryside tour, since we had previously done a boat cruise along the coast. The scenery was beautiful. We stopped at the Paula de Bandeira viewpoint as requested, saw the windmill where grains were milled, a small church and museum, and a spring where women used to wash their clothes. It was a good and unique tour. We enjoyed our time with Carlos.

Carlos is super friendly, fun and knowledgeable of the Albufeira beaches. Great way to start off our trip in the Algarve. Individualized tour, readily allowed us to stop for sunscreen and a few grocery items. Flexible and extended our tour from 3 to 4 hours and gave us a great recommendation for a local tapas restaurant for dinner. We had a spectacular day with Carlos. He was a great host who showed us a mix of the country-side and coastline. We learned alot, saw alot and laughed alot. He was very committed to providing us with the best experience. We went to places we would not have seen on our own. I would suggest you do this tour early on in your stay so you have ideas on where to go during the rest of your stay. Carlos gave us great tips on dining as well as towns and beaches to visit. ALL were on point. Dont hesitate to book Carlos, you won't be dissapointed!

We (husband, sister, myself all retired) had the best afternoon with Carlos touring the coast and countryside! Carlos was extremely knowledgeable about all of Albufeira, he made the outing fun and educational! We got to see all the highlights and were treated to the most yummy local sweet treat! Carlos was an excellent tour guide, friendly and knowledgable about the area. He completely tailored the tour for us, and asked where we had already been so that he could show us new sights that we hadn't seen yet. He knew all the best locations and even took photos for us. It is hot in August, and because of the popularity of some of the spots, there were a lot of cars and people - but the tuk tuk was the perfect vehicle to get around. We were able to see so much more than we would have on our own and with an experience guide it made all the difference. I highly recommend this tour, we are so glad we did it.

Carlos was so knowledgeable and friendly. He took us to 13 beaches, 2 Farm villages and we had lunch at restaurants he recommended that were locals. He is a safe driver and was able to take us to many hidden gems. We will do this again!

Called viator to book because we could only do a certain time and they booked it and made us pay but it turned out that Carlos already had another tour booked at the same time. While I was frustrated with viator, Carlos was able to get a friend to fill in and it turned out well, got to see tons of beautiful spots. Carlos did a great job communicating and reaching out before and after.

Excellent experience all around. Carlos was Great! On time for pick up and very knowledgeable about the region (Carlos lives in Albufeira Vs other tour who hires drivers from out of town). The tour lasted 45mn more than planned. Carlos gave us plenty of time for pictures and gave us details and stories about the places visited. The tour was private, just my girlfriend and I. Highly recommended!

Carlos is a warm and knowledgeable tour guide. He had so many interesting facts about the Algarve and Portugal in general. We saw beautiful beaches, with stories about them all. The ruins of a castle and a restored windmill. It was a wonderful half day. Carlos drives the tuk tuk very carefully. You should not miss a tour with Carlos.
