We had an awesome experience on Antelop Island! Our tour guide, Dima from Matei Travel, was exceptional! He made the trip memorable by helping us spot a number of different animals; including, a baby Owl and shared a ton of knowledge about Salt Lake City and the island. The animals, hiking trails, and views offered great photo ops and plenty of memorable family moments. We highly recommend the trip and get Dima if you can!

The best wildlife viewing experience

We lucked out getting to see the salt lake during migration season as we got to see so many shore birds on the lake that were not usual habitants. We got to see bison up close and saw the most striking sunset. The guide was great at communicating with us before the trip and told us a lot of really cool facts about Salt Lake City and Antellope Island! Could not recommend this trip enough!

I enjoyed visiting Antelope island. Our guide Dima knew all the best spots to look for animals. We were able to see bison, deer, and porcupine on this trip. He also shared interesting facts about the history of Utah and the area. At the end there was a short hike to a wonderful viewpoint for sunset.

Amazing experience!!

Amazing experience! Blake was absolutely fabulous!! We were so fortunate to have him for our tour guide! He went the extra mile to ensure we saw a huge variety of wildlife: pronghorn, coyote, bison (tons of bison), and a variety of birds! Blake went out of his way to answer all of our questions, teach us all about the island, take pictures for us, and just make it a great experience! We saw a magnificent sunset at Lady Finger Point. Lots of great information about the history of the area, including Salt Lake City. He offered excellent ideas for restaurants and other attractions in the city!! We would recommend this tour to any first timers to the area!

Nice way to get out on the lake for some additional beautiful views. You’ll also learn a bit about the lake ecosystem and history. The trip is on a comfortable pontoon boat and our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. If you don’t have a car and take an uber to the park, I would recommend reserving your pickup in advance as it is a remote location. We were fortunate to go on a beautiful, cool weather day, so flies were not an issue.

We took the Great Salt Lake Safari-Discover Antelope Island on 10/13/2026. It was Great!!!! Our guide Sinéad was a great conversationalist and very knowledgeable about the history of the island and its wildlife. The tour vehicle was very comfortable and we were provided binoculars throughout the tour. We saw a variety of wildlife including bison, pronghorns, and many different species of birds, including a golden eagle! We highly recommend!

We had a lot of fun, and I highly recommend it. The choir was beautiful and I loved having a former member of the choir come and talk to us. Fun Birthday Date

Even though I thought this was on the expensive side, my 12 year old granddaughter and I had a great time. She wasn't too interested in all the pictures on the walls, but enjoyed the activities. She loved the vortex (went through 4 times!) and anything to do with mirrors. We both took tons of pictures and laughed at all our funny poses. It was a terrific place to take her on a birthday date!

This is my second visit to Salt Lake City & I wasn’t leaving this time without a city bus tour - I find them to be the best bang for your buck. I was not disappointed. Our guide was very knowledgeable. The sites we saw were impressive. There were three stops where we could get off the bus to explore & have a bathroom break. Really nice.
