Virtual Reality Fun

This experience was wonderful. It was a bit challenging at the start but once you get the hang of the VR goggles it was great. Our guide Sarah was very helpful in getting each person situated with their goggles. When the tour was booked there was no mention in the write up about having earbuds/headphones to hear the self guided tour in the Colosseum. Half of our group went unplugged for their holiday and did not have any. It was helpful that we were told to download the audio guides prior to arriving so those who were unplugged could listen to the tour later since they were available for 24 hours.

Coliseum tour

Got to skip the long lines however our access to the Coliseum floor was canceled last minute. I was supposed to get a partial refund but so far I have not received the refund and it has been a week and a half. Seeing the coliseum was a great experience and so glad we got to go in and see it. I would probably get the full experience next time.

Very easy way to access the Colosseum on your own. We downloaded a free audio tour through Rick Steven’s. Note that you pick up tickets a few blocks offsite but it was easy and no lines:
