Tam our host/chef was great - very charismatic, friendly and knowledgeable, and good at getting everyone involved in different parts of the processes (if it involved shared ingredients). We all had ownership of our own dishes which we could adjust to our own tastes.
The menu we cooked was also great - a tasty selection of traditional Greek dishes like Mousakka and Spankopita. I’d highly recommend this to anyone looking to do a cooking class in Athens.

The cooking class was super good. Spyros was a great teacher. He explained everything very good. The food that we made was delicious.
This was a very fun and informative hands-on class. Chef Spiros was personable and made it a great experience for all ages and all levels of cooking experiences. Solo, couples, and families felt equally comfortable.

Get set for a fantastic and fun evening! The whole cooking portion of the class was so informative. Chef Spyros makes you feel like you can really do this at home, and his teaching/coaching style is fantastic. Everyone in the class is involved in some way in the overall process. I’ve never felt confident in my knife or rolling pin skills but now I think I can do this! This is a great activity for both countries and solo travelers. And we had a wonderful dinner on the rooftop afterwards, enjoying all the dishes we just learned to make. A fun evening!
We loved this experience. Nice small group of 8, we prepared all the food. Our chef was Costos he was wonderful! Then we went upstairs and were served our food. Great experience.
It was so much fun!! Everyone participated in making their 5 course evening meal. We made Greek salad, spanakopita, moussaka, tzatziki and milk pie. Instructor was friendly, patient & really went beyond to ensure we were preparing correctly & provided history of Greek food. I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend the experience!

Together we prepared an incredible four-course Greek meal, with a side of fresh homemade tzatziki, and every dish was absolutely delicious. Chef Spyros created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that everyone felt comfortable getting involved. He made the class engaging, educational, and entertaining, sharing not only cooking techniques but also the stories and traditions behind the food.
I left with new skills, greater confidence in the kitchen, and recipes I can’t wait to make for family and friends back home. This is a must do when visiting Athens! The highlight of our trip! The chef was great and the food was amazing!
Excellent experience. Loved learning details about Greek food and origins of certain foods. We opted for the extra wine choice and it was good trying different ones. It was a great time enjoying wine with nice group as well as getting to be hands on with the food at the same time. My wife and I really had a good time and already have made a recipe we learned that day. The views also was very nice on the terrace and we got to enjoy our dinner at the end during sunset it was great and highly recommend
It was an entertaining experience. Be prepared to cook! Cooking facilities were nice. They give you the recipes at the end. The rooftop has a nice little view.
We had a wonderful time learning more about Greek cuisine and key ingredients like local (PDO) olive oil. The chef was engaging and entertaining. The food that we cooked was delicious: Aegean Salad, spinach pie, moussaka and milk pie (galatopita).

Stam . There were 12 in our group and he showed us how to make a variety of traditional Greek dishes. We helped with chopping and mixing and
Stam made it entertaining with lots of stories. We then ate all of our creations together with a view of the Acropolis.
First time doing a
cooking class on holiday and we will be doing one every time from now on.

Walking through the door we were welcomed. Everything was well prepared and loads of fun. We made 5 tasty dishes that we’ll definitely try again at home. Stam was a great teacher and chef. Made it all a positive experience. Highly recommend.

This class begins in a cool lower level which is used for the cooking classes or private parties. It was a large class of 14. But we each had our own individual stations. Some spaces were made individually and some were prepared together. Stam did a great job keeping us all entertained and busy while we learned and prepared. The class ended with a dinner of our own five dishes on the enclosed rooftop of an upscale restaurant. For an additional 22 euro there was an option wine partying with each course. We were all very proud of how well our dishes all come out. A thoroughly entertaining and educational night!
My adult daughter and I took the class and it was so much fun! The chef was so knowledgeable and really involved everyone in the process. It was great to get to know new people from around the world and end with a fantastic view!
Spyros is an excellent chef and teacher who made the afternoon fun. The dinners we each prepared for ourselves were excellent. The nighttime view of the illuminated Acropolis was a lovely bonus.
It was an amazing experience and tons of fun Spyros made it supper easy and fun to be around and the food was amazing would recommend it to everyone who comes to athens great views and amazing people
Spiros was a spirited, enthusiastic teacher. The meal was delicious with fresh, local ingredients. Instructions were easy to follow. The wine pairings were a worthwhile add on. Restaurant had great ambience with a spectacular view of the Acropolis out of one window and old fashion silent movies out of the next. The class was a small group of 8, and the restaurant wasn’t overcrowded (in the off season). Would do it again as a tour-resistant traveler.
It was a fantastic evening everyone had hands-on experience in preparing the meals we received the recipes to take home.
At the end of the evening we all had a feast eating the dishes we had prepared, it was a lot of fun the chef was brilliant
Our chefs name was Spiro. He was an amazing chef and teacher. There were 14 in our group and he took time to help anyone that needed it. The first half of the night was cooking the second half was the eating. The class was interactive, fun talking with others. And Spiro kept it lively.
Spiros is a passionate chef who loves sharing his traditional Greek recipes with the participants. The group work together to prepare and cook the five recipes. Every person is given a job to do, with everyone plating their own food. Spiros asks questions, teaches and shares about food in a very fun and informative way.
Viator - please make sure you pass on special food requests from bookings onto chef eg. Vegetarian (as this information had not been passed on. Luckily I informed chef and all was well!)
An amazing delicious, entertaining, and educational experience!!! The view was beautiful!!! Spryos was energetic, very knowledgeable, engaging, and took time to personally get to know each participant. We would definitely recommend this class for the food, the view, and the chef!
Spyro, our Chef, at The Artist Rooftop was amazing! We had so much food and our food was delicious! This experience was definitely a highlight of our Athens trip.
This is our second time taking this cooking class. Spiros is excellent! We brought back my parents to take the class and we all enjoyed it very much. My Dad commented it was the best moussaka he has ever had! We hope to bring back more friends in the future!
An entertaining and interesting experience which was thoroughly enjoyable. Our very knowledgeable chef was excellent the food produced was delicious.
This was one of my favorite things I did in Athens. I love cooking, and it was so fun to make new recipes that turned out delicious. We had amazing chef/teachers and a fun group to eat and talk with!
