He would give us information about where we were heading to and take us there and let us explore on our own and give us a time and place to circle back to. Tea with Wakana Forever

Dōmo arigatō gozaimashita, Wakana! You gave us an unforgettable tea ceremony. You explained the rich history of tea culture in such a memorable way that it came to life. To enter the tea house, a samurai had to bow low, leave his swords behind, and step into a place where peace mattered more than power. Wakana made that history come alive. She explained every detail with such warmth, humor, and passion that I wasn’t just listening, I was transported. Watching her whisk the matcha into a vibrant green froth and present it with such precise, graceful movements was mesmerizing. Every gesture, from the careful turn of the bowl to the elegant placement of the ladle, felt intentional. I truly felt like royalty. I even left confident I could make a frothy matcha with a proper bubble slurp for my own guests! A standing ovation to all the ladies who helped us into our kimonos. They were incredibly patient while I braided and bunned my locs, helped me accessorize, and truly made me feel like a princess. Traveling solo, I especially appreciated that Wakana took beautiful photos of me on the patio so I’d have lasting memories of such a special day. Her lighthearted humor and warm personality made the room feel so welcoming. This experience will stay with me for a very long time, and anyone who asks me what they should do in Japan will hear one answer from me: Kimono Tea Ceremony MAIKOYA Nishiki.

I really enjoyed this bus tour from Tokyo to Nagano. Everything was well organized from start to finish, so I could simply relax and enjoy the day. Melody (guide) and Kurokawa-San (driver) we the dynamic duo for this adventure! This was a large group and Melody was available and very tentative to this multi lingual group. She constantly made herself available and mingled so everyone was taken care of. She knocked this tour out of the park and it was so much fun! Recommendations were great (and delicious!) and it was a wonderful experience! Both Melody and Kurokawa-San deserve a raise! Don’t miss an opportunity to join this tour!

Great day trip from Tokyo

Had a lovely experience. The guide, Mai-san was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained with fun facts about Japan, it's history and culture. Just the right amount of walking around considering we only arrived the night before and still very tired and jetlagged. Uchida-San, the driver, was great as well as he navigated through the mountain road with ease. We came the right day as there was a festival on the day so saw some of the procession. The waterfall left a lot to be desired since it's not rainy season but all in all, had a really great day.

A lovely way to tour Tokyo

This was a lovely tour. It was nice to cover a lot of ground (about 20km over 3.5 hrs) and see some of the city with two lovely tour guides who had cultural knowledge and insights to share. It felt like the perfect amount of time to be on a bike, and it was nice to hop on and off as we traversed the city. I definitely recommend. It was a nice break for my legs after a long walking day the day before as well!
