Rainy but wonderful day

It happened to be a rainy day. However, even with the rain, it was a wonderful tour. Our guide, Ahamed, arrived on time and suggested an itinerary; he asked if we had any preferences and recommended a few interesting and beautiful places to visit on a rainy day. For lunch, he took us to a family-run restaurant by the lake where we got to try a traditional dish. During the tour, he also told us a lot, answered our questions, and took some beautiful photos. The agency and the guide himself communicate with us and let us know the pickup time in advance. Since we didn't get to see Mount Fuji that day, we'll definitely go back.

The Tea Ceremony was vey educational and informative. We received a thorough description of the history involved and a wonderful demonstration of what was described. The tea was awesome. Kimonos were nice. Great location - Sensō-ji Temple, Asakusa Shrine are very close.

Melody (guide) and Kurokawa-San (driver) we the dynamic duo for this adventure! This was a large group and Melody was available and very tentative to this multi lingual group. She constantly made herself available and mingled so everyone was taken care of. She knocked this tour out of the park and it was so much fun! Recommendations were great (and delicious!) and it was a wonderful experience! Both Melody and Kurokawa-San deserve a raise! Don’t miss an opportunity to join this tour!

Sumptuous, educational and so much fun!

Hitomi, our guide, was an absolute gem! She was very knowledgeable and gave us tons of great educational nuggets throughout the day. We started at the seafood market at an established stall where we learned a lot about how the tuna is procured, stored and prepared and also about the different cuts and theor uses. We ate several delicious samples before walking through the rest of the market where we sampled many other delicacies and also entered various shops based on our interests. Along the way she explained various traditions and ways of life and told us about her own family.We also toured a temple and ended the day with a delicious matcha ice cream. We can't praise her enough! We learned so much and had a blast. Usually I get tired by the end of a tour, but I could have spent the whole day with Hitomi- she is just a delight. We highly recommend this tour!

Don’t forget your water.

Bring some water with you in warm weather. While many places to buy are available, other tours can lead to long wait times at some locations. And don’t be like me and not practice stairs before the 398 steps to an incredible view. Otherwise an informative and beautiful tour that shows many aspects of Japan.

We had a great tour. We opted for a 3 hour tour and asked to do some public transit around where we are staying (Shinjuku). Our guide Christiano was great. He pointed out landmarks so we could orientate ourselves, then took us to 4 sites which were all interesting.

Great way to see the snow...

Great way to see the snow monkeys when not included in your own tours schedule. It is a long distance from Tokyo and would be hard to get there by yourself. The transport was comfortable, with good leg room, access to wi fi and comfort break. The meal provided was a local speciality but you need to consider getting food on return journey as delays can mean you are too late back to get an evening meal. The monkeys put on a lovely show and we were lucky to see so many, with some even taking a dip in the hot spring pool. A long day but was worth it for me.

A lovely way to tour Tokyo

This was a lovely tour. It was nice to cover a lot of ground (about 20km over 3.5 hrs) and see some of the city with two lovely tour guides who had cultural knowledge and insights to share. It felt like the perfect amount of time to be on a bike, and it was nice to hop on and off as we traversed the city. I definitely recommend. It was a nice break for my legs after a long walking day the day before as well!

Sam is the man

It was just perfect. Not too long dragged out but at a nice pace. Sam our guide was lighthearted and humorous and helped pass the time on the bus with information. The bus ride is dependent on time of day traffic but the bus was comfortable and our 2 hr ride went well. Expect to climb many steps at the shrine as this is the site where you’ll spend most your time.
