If you’re heading to Edinburgh, this tour of the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle is a must, purely down to how well it’s run.The Royal Mile gets incredibly busy and packed with tourists, but our guide navigated us through the crowds seamlessly. He was highly knowledgeable and a fantastic host from start to finish.The walk up the hill to the castle has a fair bit of an incline, but the guide was incredibly patient with the members of the tour who needed to take a breather. He didn't just stand around waiting, either. During those rest stops, he tucked us away into quiet, out-of-the-way areas and used the time to point out historical details and hidden gems you would completely miss if you were walking it on your own.He turned what could have been a tiring trek into an easy, highly informative, and relaxed experience. A top-tier professional. Couldn't recommend him or this tour enough.

Very good way to see the highlands. Keith was our driver/guide. He had a great sense of humor and was very entertaining. Would have one suggestion: before disembarking at the first stop, it would be helpful to remind everyone to take the same seats when they return to the bus. Not everyone follows this etiquette and it caused a disturbance.

Amazing Tour

We had an amazing time on our trip to the Highlands and would highly recommend this tour! Our guide, Andrew, was fantastic. He was incredibly friendly and entertaining, sharing lots of jokes, stories, music and interesting facts about each place we visited. He managed to show us so much without ever making the trip feel rushed or overwhelming. The accommodations were wonderful, and everyone we met along the way was so friendly and welcoming. It was also great not having to worry about booking anything ourselves, which made the entire experience feel easy and stress-free. Overall, it was an incredible trip, and we would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the Highlands!

Amazing tour!!!

We loved the tour and our guide Ben C was so knowledgeable, charismatic and passionate for his love of Scotland's history. Worth every penny! I will even add that we missed our scheduled 10 o’clock tour and we showed up for the 2 o’clock tour to see if there was any possibility of us joining that tour, the two gals that were in charge were so kind and accommodating. Somehow they worked it out getting us tickets so we could join the tour, if they read this review they will know who they are, thanks again!

Stunning Castle, Great Tour Guide!

My husband, daughter and I very much enjoyed our Castle tour. Our guide was so friendly, funny & knowledgeable. He seemed to care about everyone in the group in terms of staying together and answered all questions thoroughly. He taught us the most about Edinburgh even though we have been on tours of 2 other sights since meeting him. Highly recommend this tour!

Coach tour at it's Finest !

Will , our driver / guide was incredible! We booked to see the sights without the hassle of driving/ parking etc . But actually Will was so knowledgeable ,History had never been so riveting. He had us hooked all ages were quietly listening. Just the right amount of fascinating facts interspersed with humour, humanity, songs and music . A 12 hour tour that flew by . The Hairy Coo sets the bar High . I have been on several tours with different companies but never as enthralling. Would throughly recommend even if your a local.

This truly was an incredible experience!! I only needed more time lol because we loved it soooooo much !! I brought my son on this trip with me bc he loves golf . We loved the time to walk the course, driving range etc on our own . Also enjoyed the town itself and all it offers . The other towns we stopped were such a bonus as well !!! Our tour guide, Shaunwas amazing and made the trip just over the top with his knowledge, humor , and overall enthusiasm!!!! Highly recommend!!!!!

Long day but worth it!

Saw some wonderful sights and learned the history of each. Our guide, Liall from Timberbush, was both knowledgeable and entertaining. He’s a professional and made great recommendations for lunch, restrooms, and shopping. We went mid- August… not too crowded and the weather could not have been nicer.

Excellent tour

Luisa was a fantastic guide and she made it a really memorable experience. Her clear communication and sense of humour brought the stories and history to life, as well as kept a large group of tourists together and on-track. The vaults were very interesting. I’ll keep my review of the vaults there to avoid ruining the surprise, but they’re certainly worth a visit!

I cant remember our...

I cant remember our guides name but I really appreciated the fact that he said the names, locations, and/or dates when he started talking and then again after he was finished. He was Scottish and had a Scottish accent but was clear and easy to understand! We originally were not going to go on a tour of the castle but they were sold out (Aug/Fringe festival) of tickets so we checked Viator and they had tickets + tour and truth be told I am glad we took the tour. Seeing the buildings are great but without some of the historical information behind it I think you do yourself a bit of disservice, unless you have done the research yourself. The tour is done outside of the individual building(s) but within the castle walls so once the tour is over you can go explore with additional information. We did the 10 am tour which was perfect because it allowed up to be done with the tour, have lunch and be outside ready for the 1 pm cannon. It was very very very crowded (Aug/fringe) but IMO well worth it!
