This is a fantastic overview of the Scottish Highlands. The sites visited on this excursion are wonderful, especially Inveraray! Even though it was showery off and on, the Highlands were beautiful and the stops were interesting. June, our guide, did a great job telling us about the area....and our driver was excellent. Suggestion: Maybe one less stop so more time could be spent in both Inveraray and Luss.

Very informative

Very easy to book. We took a cruise, and they were waiting for us at the port. The price was much less than the cruise excursion. Would highly recommend.

Our tour guide, Sandra was so welcoming, warm, helpful, friendly. Most of all she was so knowledgeable about everywhere we went. She even had a Playlist of scottish music. Bus driver, Michael was humorous, very friendly.

Beautiful but not enough time.

Reed_M, Sep 2026
This is a good tour, we enjoyed visiting all the sites. Our guide Nester was excellent, very knowledgeable and dressed in a full kilt. Our only complaint is that there was not enough time to enjoy the stops. At the Inveraray Castle, we barely had enough time to see the castle and make it back to the bus before we left.

Response from Host, Oct 2026

Thank you for your feedback, we are glad you enjoyed your Scotland Excursion with Nester despite the limited time. We wish we had more time too! We hope to welcome you back on another adventure to explore further.

Be prepared for a long drive. Once we got to Inverness , it was wonderful. The people were so friendly, and the efficient chips was excellent.

Response from Host, Sep 2026

Thank you for your review, we are glad you enjoyed your Scotland Excursion. We hope to welcome you on our future excursions, which also depart from Liverpool and Holyhead Cruise Terminals. In particular our Chester Excursion departing from Liverpool has a much shorter drive.

More time needed

Cheryl_B, Sep 2026
Spent 8hrs on this tour and much of it was trying to see things through trees while the coach was moving. 15 mins at Loch Lomond was not enough time. 30 min lunch stop, took that long to get served and eat quickly, didn't see the outside. 1.5hr stop later would have been better. Outlander ( Jamie's Castle ) and Scottish Highlands cows were the highlight

Response from Host, Oct 2026

Thank you for your feedback. We wish we had more time too, but unfortunately we are limited by cruise departure times so we try to make sure you see the highlights. We hope to welcome you back on another adventure to explore further.

This was our favorite excursion of the entire trip. Sandra was a fabulous guide - she gave us lots of information and she was friendly and fun. We got to see a lot of things in one day and did not feel rushed. This tour made me fall in love with Scotland.

Not small group oriented

David_F, Aug 2026
First of all, we were led to believe that our transportation would be a 15 passage van allowing for a more individualized tour. We were herded onto a 40 passenger bus which was very uncomfortable. Our tour guide, Sandra, was very informative with much history of Scotland and the Highlands. Michael, our bus driver, was excellent in driving and parking accommodations. The tour was long with quite a few stops, some not too interesting. One couple, not part of our group, delayed our departure for over a half an hour because of their lack of courtesy! Overall, the tour was good, interesting and informative, yet our group of 12 would have much preferred the smaller transport as expected! We had expected a tour with more oriented for a smaller group and we didn’t not get that!

Response from Host, Oct 2026

Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you found Sandra informative and that Michael provided excellent driving and parking throughout the tour. We would like to clarify that our tour description states that transportation may accommodate up to 50 passengers. While we often operate our tours using our 16-seat minibuses, depending on operational requirements and passenger numbers, we may use a larger luxury coach. Regardless of the vehicle used, the same sightseeing tour and itinerary are delivered, with the same destinations and planned stops. The advantage of using a luxury coach is the additional onboard facilities, including a toilet, which can be particularly beneficial on a full-day excursion. We understand that you would have preferred a smaller vehicle for your group of 12, and we appreciate that a smaller minibus can offer a different atmosphere. However, the vehicle used was within the capacity stated in our tour description. Thank you again for travelling with BusyBus and for sharing your feedback. We’re glad that, overall, you found the tour interesting and informative.

You will not be disappointed!

Layne_B, Aug 2026
What a great experience. Sandra the tour guide was awesome with lots of history knowledge. Mike the bus driver navigated very tight narrow roads. I highly suggest this tour.

A good Highland experience.

Michael_R, Aug 2026
Sandra was a great tour guide! She provided us with special treats!!! The tour definitely gave us a good overview of the Scotland Highlands but, in my opinion, we had too little time at each stop but one. It felt as though we were always being rushed.

Response from Host, Oct 2026

Greenock and surrounding Glasgow by Sandra

Rudolf_W, Aug 2026
Easy access to the tour bus from the ship. Michael our driver and Sandra provided us with easy access to all highlighted sights. Sandra gave us current as well as past information of each historical site. We treasure her Scottish humor and shortbread cookies. Definitely a wonderful informative tour.

Had a great time! Our bus...

Erin_C, Aug 2026
Had a great time! Our bus driver and tour guide were amazing! I loved the tour guide’s historical knowledge and story telling. Often we find it a bit boring, but she made it fun and interesting. What I don’t like is the lack of options for tipping. In other tours we’ve been on, there is a QR code on the bus, or some other way of tipping that doesn’t involve cash. So we weren’t able to tip our guide. This shouldn’t be.

Response from Host, Oct 2026

Thank you for your wonderful feedback, we are glad you enjoyed your Scotland Excursion with us. Unfortunately as "tips" are taxable we are unable to put them through the business, however we will pass on your gratitude - and of course, your positive review goes a long way!

Great tour guide but not...

Randy_S, Aug 2026
Great tour guide but not enough time at each stop. Sandra was very knowledgeable and easy to understand., however, due to the amount of stops, the allocated time caused us to be rushed. Also, we almost missed the tour due to confusion at the meeting location.

Response from Host, Oct 2026

Thank you for your feedback, we are glad you enjoyed your Scotland Adventure with Sandra. Unfortunately we are limited by cruise arrival and departure times, so we try to focus on the highlights but any delays can result in stops being missed or reduced time at stops to ensure we get back to the cruise ship on time. We hope to welcome you back on another adventure to explore further.

Scotland Adventure

Bree_W, Jul 2026
Excellent tour! Our Guide, Sandra and Driver Michael were very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a tight schedule, but they made sure we had a great sampling of the area and had us back to port with plenty of time to spare!

AZ Friends

Kim_G, Jul 2026
Tour was good. Viator made it easy to book this tour. The tour operator Busy Bus that was used was not as friendly. The bus driver would park so far away from the things we were going to look at. One place he parked behind a building with fresh tar on road and ruined our shoes because we had to walk thru it. The bus driver also was instructed not to start the bus until it was time to go. So the people that got back to the bus had to sit on a hot bus and wait until he was ready to go. Very uncomfortable! 1st time we had experienced that. He said the company would not let him run the bus until it was time to go. Some of the tour stops got cut short during our tour and then there was even some things we were suppose to see that were not open that day. They should have rearranged the tour a bit to accommodate closed castles. I recommend Viator, but would think again about Busy Bus Tours

Wnderful! Be prepared for "moody" weather

Karen_R, Jul 2026
Sandra and Michael did a great job getting us around and providing fun and interesting information about Scotland & our journey. Misty & rainy so I got the real Scotland experience. I should have brought better rain gear.

Perfect Highlands visit…

Patricia_B, Jul 2026
It is the perfect way to visit the Highlands and many of the important sights. It was simply amazing and our driver and tour guide were superior! I’ve been in the travel industry as an agency owner for 35 years and I recognize those special teams when I see them! Great day exploring this beautiful area.

Great Guides, Great Stops, Great Day!

Dana_G, Jul 2026
We had a wonderful shore excursion from Greenock with Sandra and Michael. The tour was very well planned, with just the right amount of time at each stop so we never felt rushed or like we were waiting around. Since we were visiting from a cruise ship, they were very mindful of our schedule and reassured us throughout the day that we'd be back to the port with plenty of time. Their knowledge of the area's history and the stories they shared at each stop made the experience even more enjoyable. Sandra and Michael were friendly, organized, and clearly knowledgeable about the area. We highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Greenock by cruise ship or just visiting the area.

Lovely countryside

Frances_H, Jun 2026
This was a wonderful excursion with Viola. We were able to see so much in a short period of time. The beautiful Loch Lomand, the cute Green Welly shop which is a great place for souvenirs, the dramatic ruins of Kilchurn Castle, Inveraray, and the gorgeous views from Rest and be Thankful. Luss is a wonderful little town to walk through! Be aware that the beautiful Inveraray Castle is not open every day of the week. The scenery on this trip is lovely!

Not worth the time or money

Steven_S, Jun 2026
Our tour guide was not up to Viator’s usual standard. It made the entire experience feel like an overpriced van ride of the countryside. The microphone on the (16 passenger) van wasn’t working so if you were sitting toward the back of the van you could not hear her. (The microphone should have been checked before everyone on the tour was picked up) Additionally her accent was very strong which made it difficult to understand her. There was very little commentary about anything and when we arrived at our stops there was almost no information about the stop. Her directions about where to go, what to do and where to meet were extremely unclear. At one stop she told everyone to be back at 1:20. But 2 people asked if they could come back later and she said ok they could have til “1:30ish”—but never told the rest of us so we all waited on the van for 10 minutes (or longer as most people got back a bit before 1:20!). It felt as though she just made no real effort to see that we enjoyed the tour. The stops were nice (although we didn’t need 25 min at the Green Welly stop after being on the van for 55 min) and we enjoyed the castles and scenery. But the tour guide did nothing to enhance the experience.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the castles, scenery and the stops included on the tour. We're sorry to hear that you felt the guiding experience didn't meet your expectations. As this tour departs from Greenock, it is standard for our guide to be Scottish, and naturally this means they will have a Scottish accent. We appreciate that accents can sometimes be more difficult to understand, particularly for visitors from overseas. Our guides are always happy to answer questions and provide recommendations throughout the day, and we'll remind our team to ensure the microphone is checked before departure so that commentary can be heard clearly by all passengers. Thank you again for your comments. We value all feedback as it helps us continue to improve our tours.

A worthwhile excursion! Better than cruise line selections.

Connie_K, Jun 2026
The walk to the castle is on level ground. You are given enough time to get there and back to the bus without hurrying. Our tour guide (can't remember her name) was so good. She knew so much about the area and the history behind it. She even knew about the connection with the movie Brigadoon.

Good tour

Linda_R, Jun 2026
Good tour, a little more time at the castle ruins would be great. A little less time at the house tour stop

Tour Not Worth It !!!

Karen_F, Jun 2026
This tour was very disappointing. The bus was a long walk from our ship in the pouring rain. There was no signage to show where the bus was. And there were no people at all to show us where to go. At least eight people were late to the bus due to this. When we arrived at what we thought might be the bus, the driver could not answer whether this was a Viator tour. We saw a Busy Bus sign at the top of the windshield halfway through the tour, but no one could see it when they needed to due to the rain. The guide was nowhere in sight. When he arrived late, he had no list of who were supposed to be on the tour, and he did not have names nor did he look at anyone's tickets. As a result, the tour guide was ready to leave several people behind until their friends and relatives told him they were expecting them. All of these people were late too, to not knowing where the bus was. This was unacceptable! Also, this was a very long tour with eight hours, being on the bus with very limited stops. The guide was knowledgeable and gave us much more information during the ride than anyone could possibly digest, but it was dampened because of the poor viewing due to the rain and this limited stops. In conclusion, this tour was not worth it!!!
