What are people saying about Rome

The BEST day in Rome!
We can’t say enough wonderful things about Peter. We felt like we were getting a private tour by an Italian History Professor! He was so knowledgeable and very kind. We were able to see much more than we anticipated. I will HIGHLY recommend him to anyone I know traveling to Rome.

Our guide, Patricia, was...
Our guide, Patricia, was absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable with great descriptions of the history and players throughout Romes history. Recommended a superb restaurant for lunch. Getting tickets in advance saves considerable time that would be wasted standing in line and having a driver saves wear and tear on the feet. Overall, a great experience.

A Must-Do Tour When Visiting Rome!
This tour is an absolute must-do! Our tour guide, Riccardo, was fantastic! Not only did he share a wealth of knowledge about the fascinating history of Rome, but he brought it to life in such an engaging and entertaining way. He even incorporated a little role-playing to help illustrate his points, making the experience both educational and fun! We enjoyed Riccardo immensely! His passion, knowledge, and wonderful personality made this tour one of the highlights of our trip. If you're planning to visit the Colosseum, the Vatican, and several other incredible sights along the way, we highly recommend this tour. And if you have the opportunity, ask for Riccardo! You won't be disappointed!

Unforgettable day with Marco & Livio!
We had a most excellent day touring with Marco and Livio. They really personalized the itinerary for us — visiting the spots we were most interested in, and incorporating special requests as well. Livio was extremely knowledgeable about Rome and drove us around to a lot of different (beautiful) spots, sharing political and historical facts along the way. He did a wonderful job orienting us to the city. We toured the Coliseum and Vatican City with Marco, which was excellent. We learned so much about both but never felt overwhelmed. It was really great to tour these immense and world famous places with an insider’s knowledge at our side. And the cherry on top was a delicious lunch together at a place our guides suggested. By the end of our day together we felt like we had new friends in Rome! I would HIGHLY recommend this tour — it’s absolutely worth the time and money.

Not seeing something you are looking for?

While Rome isn’t perched on the Mediterranean like Genoa or Naples, it’s just 15 miles (24 kilometers) from the Tyrrhenian Sea, where you’ll find Civitavecchia, the main port for cruise ships with the Italian capital on their itinerary. This charming port town offers a scenic gateway to Rome, perfect for cruise passengers arriving by sea or travelers in Rome looking for a seaside escape. Rome shore excursions provide a seamless and scenic way to journey between the capital and the coast.
