Leo was terrific Exploring Pompeii was fascinating and very educational. Leo moved us, an entire bus full, through the crowds and explained everything that happened "over 2,00 years ago" He kept us moving and allowed us to see how the city lived before Vesuvius erupted and doomed them all. Since it was an afternoon excursion, we needed to get back to the ship on time, and Leo made that happen. Highly recommend this excursion and Leo in particular.

Vincenzo was the best tour guide in Italy! Capri was amazing, blue grotto CLOSED due to high waves, be aware if you are booking this just for blue grotto it may be closed in Oct 2026 due to waves. Vincenzo led a boat tour around the island of capri as an alternative which was phenomenal. The boat does enter a grotto and you will see the blue grotto up close. Overall the tour was amazing, and guide was even better. 5/5

We had an absolutely fantastic experience visiting Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius with Worldtours! From start to finish, this was an incredible day, made even better by our amazing driver, David, and our wonderful guide in Pompeii. David was fantastic from pickup to drop-off. He communicated the plans for the day clearly, kept everything running smoothly, and did an incredible job navigating the very narrow, winding streets up to and back down from Mount Vesuvius. His driving skills were impressive! But what truly made David stand out was how he went above and beyond when we needed him most. More on that in a moment! Our guide in Pompeii (I’m so sorry I can’t remember the correct spelling of his name, possibly Iliah) was absolutely wonderful. His passion for Pompeii and his incredible knowledge of the archaeological site made the history come alive. He walked at a comfortable pace that was easy to follow and spoke at a volume that made it easy to hear everything he shared. We learned so much and truly appreciated the experience he provided. Mount Vesuvius was absolutely breathtaking and well worth the very steep hike to reach the top! The views and the experience of standing at the summit were amazing. We visited in mid-October, and it was VERY cold at the top, so definitely dress in layers and bring a jacket! Now, back to David, who deserves an extra-special shout-out. My sister and brother-in-law accidentally left their passports on the tour bus. After numerous phone calls and a stressful search, David came to the rescue! He located the passports and actually brought them back to us himself on the bus. We cannot thank him enough for going above and beyond to help us. He turned a stressful situation into a happy ending and saved the day! David, thank you for your professionalism, kindness, excellent communication, and for taking such good care of us. And thank you to Worldtours for having such an amazing team! If you’re considering a trip to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius, we highly recommend this tour. The destinations are incredible, the guide was fantastic, and David’s exceptional service made the entire experience truly unforgettable. Five stars all the way!

If you are deciding between Pompeii and Herculaneum, do not miss Herculaneum—and make sure you do it with a guide! Exploring this remarkably preserved ancient city was an absolute highlight of our trip, and having an expert guide made all the difference. Because Herculaneum was buried by volcanic mud rather than ash, the level of detail is astonishing. Seeing original wooden beams, two-story houses, intricate mosaics, and even carbonized furniture intact after nearly 2,000 years felt completely surreal. It is much more intimate and remarkably well-preserved than Pompeii. What truly elevated the entire experience was our phenomenal guide. Their depth of knowledge, passion, and storytelling ability brought the ancient streets to life. Instead of just looking at ruins, we understood the daily lives, culture, and tragic final moments of the people who lived here. Every question we had was answered with incredible detail and enthusiasm, and they navigated us perfectly through the site to highlight the absolute best preserved spots. Vincenzo was not only very knowledgeable regarding the Pompeii and Herculeum disasters and re-discovery, but he was patient and amusing. What a positive experience he provided for all in the group! We certainly left with full appreciation for the sites as amazing treasures, as well as appreciation for the creative knowledge possessed and practiced at the time. We think we are so “modern” and knowledgeable but a visit here proves that we are but repeating history. Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi day trip

It was worth taking this trip because it covered multiple historical areas in a very comfortable setting. Although the tour guide was exceptional cover I never do these trips just because they feel that there is too much of a formality to everything but he was great with his knowledge of everything, giving us history of the locations and so on. The driver stephano was great, there is just in some incredibly tight roads and sharing it with other drivers and large buses could be challenging, but he handled like a true pro common definitely recommend this trip to anyone that's interested insane some wonderful areas that are incredibly historical and beautiful. A+
