Great!

Our driver and our guide were both excellent. It was hot and very crowded, but our small group of 6 managed to get through Ephesus much more gracefully and timely than the large tour groups. The carpet stop was surprisingly fun and informative. Highly recommend this option for Kusadasi.

We had a great tour to Ephesus. Tahsin was our guide, and was very knowledgeable and friendly. We times entry to Ephesus to avoid crowds and heat, and saw amazing ruins. Mary's house was peaceful and interesting to see as well. Please note, that if you have no interest in shopping to tell the guide. Be clear, as our guide suggested these opportunities as cultural, when they were really semi-aggressive sales pitches. If they mention carpet weaving factories or leather shops, this will mean giving you a shirt presentation then a sales pitch to buy, similar to time shares. Still, the quality of the ruins was very high and well worth it, so I recommend the tour.

Excellent Ephesus Tour

We had a great private tour of Ephesus with our guide, Kaya. He was very knowledgeable and explained the history of Ephesus extremely well, including its Greek and Roman history, which made the ruins much more meaningful and interesting to explore. Kaya was friendly, patient, and kept the tour informative without making it feel rushed. We also appreciated how efficiently the tour was organized for our cruise stop. Highly recommend Kaya for anyone looking for a knowledgeable private guide to explore Ephesus.

Best Tour Ever!!!!

This was hands down my favorite tour!! Our guide was Gigi and she did not disappoint. I had done my research and had seen from so many reviews that Gigi seems like a great guide, so I requested, if possible if we could have her as our guide. It was never guaranteed but we were delighted as we got to the van to realize she was our guide. The communication was clear, the van was always cool, and Gigi was at our disposal. She is so knowledgeable and her English is great! It was only my husband and I, and Gigi knew the places to go first to avoid crowds. We went to Mary’s house first, the ruins of Ephesus, and then St John’s Basilica and wrapped up at a delicious farm table lunch. We were able to tour at our own pace and ask so many questions bc Gigi really knows her stuff. My husband loves history so he was very impressed. On other historical tours, my husband has found guides who need to use Google to answer some of his questions but not Gigi! We knew there would be a sales pitch after the luncheon and we were prepared. Gigi told us no pressure and we knew we could not afford as beautiful as they were. Gigi was great about knowing the perfect picture spots and anticipating crowds. This was worth every penny and I would highly recommend!!!

Best tour of our trip!

We had an amazing visit to Kusadasi, Ephesus and the surrounding area. Our tour guide, Eda, was the best guide we have ever had. We told her a few things that we really wanted to do and then let her fill in the rest of our time with her suggestions. Our granddaughter got to learn how to tie knots to make a wool rug and she was able to practice making a pottery piece on a wheel. These were experiences she never would have gotten on a big group tour. Eda was so knowledgeable about Ephesus and wove history into what we were seeing in such an interesting way - she even kept the interest of our 11 year old. Seeing Ephesus on a private tour, especially with Eda, is the only way to go!!

Amazing Tour to Ephesus

We had a wonderful experience on our Ephesus tour through Viator. Our guide, Taylan, was excellent—friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful throughout the entire tour. The van was comfortable and had excellent air conditioning, which made the journey very pleasant. Taylan also kindly helped us take some great photos and made sure we had a memorable experience. Everything was very well organized, and we felt comfortable and well taken care of from beginning to end. I highly recommend this tour and especially Taylan as a guide. We had a private tour to Ephesus ancient city. Our tour Ismael was ready as soon as we got out of the cruise ship. We had a private van just for us, that made the tour very comfortable. Ismael was very kind and super clear in his explanations. I recommend this tour, we didn't make any lines and had a great view of the ancient city.

Kusidasi , one day trip from cruise.

Very well, organized, and managed tour.. Cayda was very well informed of ancient history as well as modern issues. This gave us a great 360 tour as a keen student of history. This was greatly appreciated. They also got us back with plenty of time to return to the cruise ship and do a little shopping in the town.

Nejdet did a great job for us!

We had a great experience with our driver and guide, Nejdet. Our guide was very informative and did an outstanding job explaining and showing us the historical sites in Turkey such as the Library and House of Mary. He honestly gave us more time than we paid for and we never felt rushed... actually quite the opposite. We finished with an incredible Turkish meal and then gained an understanding of the handmaking rug process which we all found fascinating. I will say that the rug presentation ends with somewhat of a "timeshare" type sales experience (for those that are familiar with timeshare sales in the US). Regardless though the rugs are incredible and we we were all glad to get to experience the presentation while having beer and Turkish coffee. We were also presented with a short sales presentation on Zultanite. A stone I had never heard of. Nejdet made it clear to just say "no" if we weren't interested (which we did). After getting back on the ship, we heard several stories of this nature with the rug sales experience. It seems most all tours/excursions lead back to a rug sales presentation. The fellow presenting the rugs was always nice and respectful and I've always been in and around sales so if didn't make me uncomfortable but some of our fellow cruise guests, on other tours NOT this one, were upset about. I just think it is good to know going in and I have a hunch that there is some type of kickbacks going on to tour operators or at the very least they provide the free lunch there provided you take the tour. In the end this was a 5 star experience and i would enjoy a future tour with Nejdet.
