Fabulous Ephesus area tour with our lovely guide Nesrin

We spent a wonderful day with our knowledgeable tour guide Nesrin and her skillful van driver in the Kusadasi area. It was just our group of 4 friends, and Nesrin met us at the cruise port in Kusadasi. Nesrin is an incredible tour guide and an even lovelier person. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with her-strolling through Ephesus in the footsteps of Paul, a delicious lunch at an organic farm, a rug making demonstration (such beautiful rugs, I was so tempted but didn’t have any room measurements with me!), a ceramics studio in Selcuk where they have been making their own clay for generations and create such fine pieces, and wine tasting at 7 Bilgeler Winery (tried 5 delicious wines and had savory snacks). Ephesus is a lot of walking on uneven and sometimes slippery surfaces, and there are so many tourists visiting the site, but Nesrin knew the best route for our group (we are all almost 70 year olds), and found shady, quiet areas for explanations of what we were seeing. We had the best day with Nesrin! She and her driver were monitoring the time and got us back to the cruise ship in plenty of time for our sailing. My regret: that the cruise didn’t include at least 2 days in Kusadasi.

The transportation provided by the tour operator was fantastic - prompt, clean, and highly comfortable throughout the day. What truly made this journey unforgettable, however, was our amazing tour guide, Senem. Since she lives in the area, her local knowledge is unmatched. She expertly timed our itinerary to avoid the massive crowds, ensuring we had a peaceful, unhurried experience at each historic site. Every stop felt perfectly paced, giving us ample time to marvel at the breathtaking ruins of the ancient city and absorb the sacred atmospheres of the religious sites without feeling rushed. We had specifically requested a tour focused on historical facts and biblical context, and Senem exceeded all our expectations by making Acts 18, 19, and 20 truly come alive. It was incredibly moving to walk in the footsteps of St. Paul, and it was clear that Senem put immense effort into preparing for our specific requests, effortlessly weaving deep theological history with rich archaeological data. Beyond her impressive wealth of knowledge, Senem is remarkably thoughtful, kind, and constantly went the extra mile to make us feel fully taken care of. We cannot recommend Senem and this tour operator highly enough to anyone looking for a deeply educational, flawlessly organized, and personally tailored experience in Ephesus.

We booked our tour through Viator with no problems. The communications were very good throughout and we knew we would be picked up and dropped off at the port. Our guide, Josh was waiting for us and led us through the day showing consideration for the pace and displaying an endless knowledge for both Turkey and Ephesus. He sorted out our lunch stop, that wasn't included, and got us safely back to the ship. The day couldn't have been any better, thanks Josh.

He was extremely flexible to accommodate our timeline and preferences and assisted us with parking to make everything very seamless. He was also a very knowledgeable and engaged guide. Amazing to see the travertines!

Pamukkale was amazing! Our guide Ekim was also great and very punctual! I do wish we had more time at the travertines! 2 hrs to roam was just enough to make it to the end of the travertines and go to Cleopatra’s pool for 15 mins (which was 600 try extra). Maybe at 30 mins to 1 hr extra. Also the onyx factory tour is not on the tour guide - I know this is par for the course but it could be listed and shorter stay.

A memorable trip to Ephesus

I went on this wonderful trip to Ephesus with my daughter and a friend, and we all had a truly enjoyable experience. Much of the credit goes to our guide, Alperen, who was both very pleasant and a true professional. Api was an amazing guide!

I can't say enough positive things about this tour; we had an amazing time! Our guide, Api, was incredibly thorough, but, more than that, his enthusiasm, love of history, and pride in his heritage made him the #1 host out of every tour we took in our weeks through Greece and Istanbul! We took a number of guided tours in Athens, Izmir, and Istanbul, but Api was, by far, the most informative, kind, and helpful guide we encountered. He absolutely made the tour! We chose the Pide option for lunch, and enjoyed it; the transportation van was very comfortable.

WOWOW! What a tour!!! Asli very generously picked us up from the airport with our great driver, (who introduced himself as, "Boss"), and took us straight from Izmir to our day in Ephesus. On the way, she shared tons of details about the region, and was *so* accommodating to our needs—even flipping the schedule to let us have lunch upon arrival. Asli made sure to pack our time with as much information and history as she could, and she did so from a place of deep love and enthusiasm. Ephesus was hands down the most interesting place my husband and I have ever visited, and it was all thanks to Asli's vast knowledge and passion for the region.
