We had a ton of fun...

We had a ton of fun visiting all 3 of the accessible monasteries! Our tour guide was funny and very personable and made the experience fun & we very much enjoyed hearing about the different stories of each monastery. The trip also included stops to some super nice picturesque spots! I would definitely recommend taking this trip - super worth it!

This was an excellent way to see much of Athens in a condensed but efficient manner! I feel like our group did a very good job at covering a lot of things in just 4 hours. We didn’t go very in-depth anywhere other than the Acropolis, but that allowed us to cover the highlights, so it was a good thing.

Very interesting tour

We found the tour very interesting. It was very hot and there is little shelter. Our tour guide was great. She had fantastic knowledge and was able to answer any questions. Amazing views from the top. The day we went there were three big cruise ships in the port. This meant it was very busy. Beware… It is very slippery where the stones are shiny and worn. Wear suitable shoes. We saw someone fall down the steps.

Wonderful trip outside Athens

Elizabeth was our tour guide on this great day exploring Delphi. She wasn’t just providing information when we arrived at the main site, but also explained what we were seeing around the city as we departed on the bus from our Athens meeting point. It was like two tours in one, which was great. The bus was comfortable and had WiFi. We had a stop on the way for bathroom breaks and to get any coffee, snacks, etc before continuing on to Delphi. Overall it was an excellent planned day trip.

Don’t sleep on this one! And be sure to be VERY hungry

Giannias (Our guide) was seriously THE BEST!!! When you get the email ahead of your tour saying come hungry because you get lots of food, BELIEVE IT!! I cannot believe how many stops we made along this tour!! He was informative, and kind, he answered questions we had along the way. I love doing foodie tours on trips especially in new countries and this one was one of my favorites for many reasons! The food, so good, guide top notch- Best advice- don’t sleep on this one!! And just when we thought we were done, we stopped at ONE more- I honestly can’t recall if any of us ate the food from the last stop when we were there because we were SO FULL- but he grabbed to go bags for us.

Our Gide Nikos was very...

Our Gide Nikos was very knowledgeable in Greek history and mythology. Explained everything well before we got to the different sites to explore. It was enjoyable exploring things when we knew already what they were all about. It was great seeing the changing of the Gards and Nikos explained everything about their uniforms ( the pom-poms, the pleats) and all the different steps what they meant. Lunch was lovely but a little different to what we get in Melbourne in the Greek restaurants. We loved the entire day . Thank you Nikos

An Incredible Journey Through Greek History

From beginning to end, this excursion was absolutely phenomenal! Unfortunately, I arrived a bit late, but the team at Athenian Tours went above and beyond to make sure I didn’t miss out. I was incredibly grateful for his kindness and for the entire team’s willingness to accommodate me. Once the tour began, it only got better. Nancy, our tour guide, was outstanding! This was a great experience! Our guide was very knowledgeable. She gave so much information during the tour! She has a good sense of humor too! She also gave us plenty of rest/water breaks because it was very hot & really windy. We were able to see all of the sites & the museum. I felt that this was plenty of time & that we didn't need any more. I highly recommend this tour.

Delightful half-day trip!

This was a delightful half day trip from Athens that included transportation, historical information from our friendly guide, beautiful stops and lots of information along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed the brief swim stop and were well aware that the food and entrance to the temple were not included. But so worth it! It was fun to meet other travelers on the 12 passenger Mercedes van as a bonus!
