Overview

Rome's papal basilicas have drawn Christian pilgrims for centuries, and this private tour visits three of them with a theologian as your guide. Start at St. John Lateran, the cathedral of Rome, then see the Holy Stairs across the square. Pay your respects at the tomb of St. Paul, then finish at Santa Maria Maggiore, home to relics of the Holy Crib.
  • Visit four major pilgrim sites without planning the route across Rome
  • Go beyond St. Peter's to the basilicas many visitors never reach
  • See the basilicas at their quietest with an early-morning start
  • Get more from your tour with a private theologian guide reserved just for you

Avoid this Excursion

John_G, Apr 2024
Book a private tour with transportation. The guide was disorganized, required taxi rides to each church location which we were told to pay. Not worth the nearly $400 we spent for this tour.
