The Best Way to Explore Palermo

My family of 9 members had two Cruise Cars take us around Palermo and Monreale! The Cruise Cars picked us up at our hotel. Each car had a driver, a guide and a cooler filled with ice cold drinks and snacks! The cars were also equipped with a speaker so we had our own music connected by blue tooth. The cars were new and spotless! It was the beginning of the hot summer days so we enjoyed the cool breeze as we drove around Palermo. We visited the Capuchin Catacombs then drove to Monreale to visit the most stunning Cathedral. The sun was directly above us so our guide pulled the cover of the cruise cars to make our drive back to Palermo a comfortable one. All in all, this experience made our first day in Palermo an unforgettable experience! My family is grateful to our wonderful drivers who drove us safely and comfortably and to our guides who welcomed us warmly and gave us so much needed information about Palermo! We felt their pride and love for Palermo! Highly recommended for family, friends, couples even solo travelers!

From the moment we were picked up, he shared a beautiful narrative of Sicily’s history, culture, and landscape on the drive to Palmento Costanzo. The vineyard itself was stunning and impeccably maintained, and the wine tasting was excellent, paired with a delicious selection of cheeses. We ended the day with an authentic local lunch featuring an abundance of appetizers, pasta, and more wine. Antonio was truly exceptional. Highly, highly recommend.

Alessio was tremendous!

Spectacular 9-hour trip with just 6 others in our group. We hiked Etna, visited the Grotta dei Tre Livelli wearing helmets (thank goodness!) and carrying lamps, stopped at MYETNA for tastings of olive oils, pistachio Nutella, honeys, and liquors made of prickly pear, lemon, etc. as well as white and red wines. We had 2 hours of free time in Taormina for lunch and riding the Funivia. Alessio was a terrific guide through it all. 100% recommend!

3 things to know about this tour !!! Our guide was so kind. It was refreshing to talk to someone mature after we had a nightmare experience and uncaring guide when we booked an expensive tour at the Vatican the day before through the Get-your-guide app .. 2. The streets during June peak season are insane. It is hot and you won’t be able to hear unless you are close to the guide. There are no ear mics 3. We had a mini wine tasting at stop #2. Tried an amazing cherry wine. I’ve learned with two completely different guide experiences back to back and with different vendors that it all depends on the temperament of your guide. I was lucky to have a contrasting experience to remember this and sometimes you get a stif. But not with this particular program. I’m a huge fan! Just hard to hear in the crowds sometimes.

This was a great tour! Our tour guide Gabby was excellent. She was professional and punctual. She also communicated well before the tour, so we knew exactly what time and location we would meet. He had a huge amount of information on Mt Etna and clearly has a passion for the region and it's people. This Sicilian cooking class with Chef Marcello was fantastic! We made arancini, pasta al a Norma with fresh made pasta and cannoli and enjoyed it with a glass or two of wine for lunch. I learnt some new techniques and do’s and dont’s with Sicilian cooking. I definitely recommend this class.

We were in a small group and our van driver was Michael "Corleone". He was an excellent historian and tour guide, giving us a plethora of knowledge about Taormina, Castelmola and Catania. They are all extremely beautiful cities and worth visiting, but Michael really made the tour top notch!

The Perfect Taormina Day

Paria and Alberto were terrific. The tour was beautiful and interesting with just the right balance of guiding and having time on your own. Taormina is beautiful and well worth the trip, especially the Greek theater and views of Mt Etna, Taormina and Ionian Sea. An added bonus of stopping in Castelmola was great, and we sampled the perfect cannoli. We were there in January so crowds were low and weather was cool and breezy. That's our sweet spot for travel. Alberto's kind personality and Paria's bubbly enthusiasm were the icing on the cake.
