Paulo was a great guide....
Paulo was a great guide. He knows a lot of history which I liked. The tour was great- I learnt a lot about cork trees, the stone circle, the Diana temple, the town of Evora, the local food Migas (hope I spelt that correctly) and of course the Chapel of Bones which blew my socks off! A great day and was thoroughly satisfied and was asleep by 9pm that evening! Thanks Paulo! Give Paulo a pay rise!! 😀

Évora, lunch and wine tasting with Pedro!
We spent a wonderful day with our guide, Pedro, in Évora. Our trip there went smoothly with Pedro pointing out cork trees and olive trees and explaining the harvest process. Our time in Évora was delightful with visits to several landmarks, browsing through shops and a delicious lunch at Mr. Pickwick. On our return trip we stopped at Ervideira Vineyard for a wine tasting. Pedro was charming, informative and fun throughout our journey. We definitely recommend this tour.

Fabulous tour. Highly recommend.
The guides were very really easy going and incredibly knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We loved this tour, the half hour drive was enough time to learn about the surrounding area and the history of the evora region.

Best Way to See Evora in a Day
This tour was a highlight of our trip. I cannot say enough good things about Joao. He is very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. Evora was fabulous and having Joao show us around made it even better. Highly recommend to everyone!

Ancient Roman Temple ruins in the old town of Évora, Portugal.
  • Situated in the central Alentejo region, Evora can be very hot, so plan to wear a hat and sunscreen, if you’re visiting in the summer months.
  • There’s a lot to see in the city, so bank on spending at least half a day here.
  • Keep an eye out for the colorful Azulejo tiles that decorate many buildings in town.
