For the love of history…

This was a very informative tour. We learned so much about the history of Scotland and its people. It is a heck of a walk and gave my parents a run for their money on the saying about walking up hill both ways to school….for sure these people honestly did. This was such an amazing adventure. Thanks to James our English tour guide that gave us a great back story on the Scottish history.

Great, very funny guide who adapts a lot to the people present on the bus! With very nice anecdotes and great jokes that made us smile all day long! Despite the difficulty of understanding in English because there is no adaptation for people with a low level in the language, the directions to find your way are very clear! Only small weak point: the lunch break in Fort William city center was not necessarily adapted for all budgets and for all tastes! Thank you very much for this beautiful experience!

This was definitely a fun...

This was definitely a fun experience, the bus was comfortable. The driver was exceptional. I felt very safe in the vehicle and the history lessons and the knowledge were profound. I would recommend getting there a little early so you can make sure you get a seat with a charger and good window view .

Throughout the day, he shared a fascinating amount of information, but what stood out most was his deep understanding of Scottish history and culture. His storytelling brought the Highlands to life. The Scottish music he played during the journey was the perfect soundtrack to the stunning scenery and made the experience even more special. Beautiful historical landmark introduced with energy and humor.

The tour guide really makes a difference here. We had Amelia on this dreary day. She was fantastic. Not only did we learn the history of the castle and its inhabitants, it was done with humor sprinkled in. Going on your own is ok, I just don't think it would have the same impact unless part of it was guided. Please note, the tour is on the exterior. Once completed, you are free to roam around inside the castle and its grounds. Please be prepared for crowds and multiple guided tours happening at the same time.

Great tour

First part of tour takes you through some interesting areas of Edinburgh above ground. Once you arrive at the vault there is quite a tall step to negotiate but I managed without too much trouble despite severe arthritis so certainly doable. Darren was a great guide, very entertaining and informative. Very interesting to see some of Edinburgh's underbelly and hear of it's past.

Nice, friendly, helpful staff

My niece and I arrived too late to join the workshop (our flight was delayed 6 hours and we ended up being 30 minutes late for workshop). The ladies there were soo nice. One of them even took us to another location to pick out our purse style and gave us instructions and supplies needed to make it ourselves. It only took us about 20 minutes to put it together. I highly recommend this place

Perfection!

Me and my mom visited Edinburgh for her birthday and we both really wanted to go to see the castle. We immediately loved our guide Max when he called our group “team handsome” and my mom said to me “yes! We got the good one!” Absolutely incredible tour and Max was amazing, funny and respectful to both us in the group and to the castle’s history. Definitely recommend!!

Great St. Andrews trip

We had a great day on the St. Andrews trip with Shea. She was very personable and knowledgeable about Fife. She was raised and still lives in Fife, so she had great information and stories to share. Plenty of time to enjoy St. Andrews and have lunch. Loved the stops and ride through views of the fishing villages. Would highly recommend this trip and Rabbies tour company. We also did the Highlands tour with this company.

Excellent tour with...

Excellent tour with Highland Experiences! The day was long, but they made every effort to make you comfortable on the tour bus and with stops along the way. Our guide was very knowledgeable about Scottish history and obviously proud of his Scottish identity - wonderful to listen to his stories and experiences. The highlight was Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle - bucket list place for us! We could easily have spent more time there. The scenery throughout the day was magnificent and a perfect way to see the Highlands if you are limited on time in Scotland.
