This was such a cool and unique experience! The bag was much bigger than I thought, like a clutch size, and there were opportunities to upgrade if you wanted. So many colors and patterns to choose from, you can really make a one of a kind bag. Awesome activity and souvenir all in one. Definitely recommend!

Got this for the wife and she loved it. Allowed me to grab a pint or two. She said the staff were very kind and the amount of choices could be overwhelming so maybe hit them up on their website to narrow down some of the designs. Everything is provided and directions were straight forward with staff there to answer any questions.

Great fun for a beautiful and functional souvenir!

This workshop was great fun! Our facilitators Connor and his assistant were very helpful in explaining the process and helping out with any questions we had and making sure we put our bags together correctly. I would recommend this to anyone and I felt it was a good value. There were options to upgrade your bag and the upgrades were also well priced.

Mother/daughter time - a fun, unique activity!!!

This was a fun mother/daughter experience while we were in Edinburgh! The hardest part of the whole time was choosing the colors and attachments to use for your purse. Assembling the bag was fun and very manageable. Analise was a fabulous instructor. I would recommend this unique experience with anyone looking for a nice souvenir and interactive time.

This is so much fun!! Do not hesitate to book this. You can upgrade your purse to a different size or type for a nominal fee. So many options to customize. It’s a great day! I booked it twice and made a purse to take home for my mom. I was upstairs and downstairs. Same event, but if you can’t find what you need, they’ll go to the other floor to check for you. Whatever they have out is what they have. I wouldn’t bother building it out in advance, you are only able to choose from what’s on the floor. You can buy additional covers to change tour purse for every season for £25/each. Your purse will be gorgeous!!

I booked this tour a few days before but recommend booking early as it was almost completely full at all locations when we booked. My sister and I had so much fun choosing the parts of our purses and then putting them together. Our instructor was very good. We upgraded to the leather purse. I love my purse and would do this again if I am ever in this city again. It is just so nice to have a personalized souvenir that is useful too.

Was such a fun experience. I did this with my wife and we had a wonderful time. Beatrice and Zoey were delightful, patient and helpful. The upper room was a tight area for so many people to try and move around to pick their colors. But worked out.

This was a fun rainy morning activity. Beth led a wonderful, easy to follow presentation. All of the assistants were friendly and helpful. Since there are many choices to be made, we went by the location the day before our class to look over the options and better help us keep to the allotted time for choosing during the session. Overall we really enjoyed our class.

Beth did a great job explaining sizes and prices. She let us see the finished bags in those sizes so we could see how much we could fit in them. She gave a friendly reminder to pull our phones back out ;) She and Cameron both checked our work, making sure the screws were tight. The biggest problem, and not in a bad way, was deciding what colors and patterns I wanted to use. So many to choose from, I think I was on the verge of brain overload. I had a fabulous time making a souvenir I can use and remember forever <3

My daughter and I did this workshop and had a great time. There were so many choices and ways to personalize your bag. We loved it and now have a usable souvenir. I also loved that they offered a toiletries bag and large backpack for the men in the group to make. Chris and Charley were lovely and quite funny instructors.

We had such a wonderful experience at the Islander Harris Tweed Satchel Workshop. We absolutely loved it! Chris, our instructor, was fantastic which made the whole process enjoyable from start to finish. There were so many beautiful patterns and bag styles to choose from, and it made creating our own satchels feel really personal. We also learned a lot about Harris Tweed and Scottish tartans, which added so much depth to the experience. It ended up being the perfect souvenir from Scotland - something we will actually use and a time we will always remember. Highly recommend!! Such a unique and memorable activity!

The experience was nice however or host was rather rude and impatient with myself and other guests. It’s unfortunate that Viator added an additional £20 pound fee on my booking for two, when the experience is only meant to be £70 pp.
