The BEST Tour Guide in...
The BEST Tour Guide in Edinburgh
Mr. Saf was absolutely fantastic! He was enthusiastic, incredibly knowledgeable, well-read, accommodating, and had a wonderful sense of humour.
Our full-day tour was truly unforgettable. The four of us thoroughly enjoyed his professionalism, fascinating stories, and unique insight into the beautiful and historic City of Edinburgh.
We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and look forward to returning to Edinburgh and experiencing Mr. Saf’s wonderful hospitality again!

Don't hesitate to book this tour ...
Jill is an exceptional guide and a true professional. Our private walking tour in Edinburgh was seamless from start to finish thanks to her thoughtful preparation and deep knowledge of the city. She reached out days in advance with clear, helpful instructions, and tailored the entire experience to our interests and pace. Jill anticipates what you need before you even think to ask, and her competence and warmth make the tour both effortless and enriching. If you are fortunate enough to be paired with Jill, don’t hesitate — you’re in for an outstanding experience.

Fantastic private tour up...
Fantastic private tour up to the Highlands! Bineesh was great! Showed us amazing spots and was very knowledgeable about the history. This really beats a bus tour because we had so much more flexibility and were able to stay a bit longer at our favorite spots. Highly recommend!

Amazing for the whole family
The entire experience was incredible start to finish. Paul was so well prepared, patient and flexible as we were traveling with a toddler. He made this experience memorable for the entire family and we couldn't ask for more. Highly recommend this tour for everyone!

Great Tour with Linda!
We had a wonderful experience on the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle Small Group Walking Tour with Linda. She was extremely knowledgeable and informative, and she made the tour fun with her great sense of humor and jokes along the way. She kept us entertained while sharing interesting facts and stories about Edinburgh’s history.
The tour was well organized, and Linda did a fantastic job making everyone feel comfortable and engaged. Visiting the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle with such a wonderful guide made the experience even more enjoyable.
We would definitely recommend this tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Linda as your guide!

The Most Amazing Day
Amazing day with Nathan. He shared much about the history, the people, the land, the food, and even a great playlist. He thought of everything. Book this tour if you want to appreciate the beauty and history of the Scottish Highlands with the most kind, courteous, and informative guide. You’ll be so happy you did.

Guided tour of Edinburgh in four hours with a running commentary.
Its an effcient and relaxed way of seeing the most places of interest in Edinboro in a short time and at the same learning about the long history of the beautiful city. The traditionally dressed driver with a non stop running commentary for four hours added the local colour.

Magic and Rainbows in the hills of Glencoe!
Wow, wow, wow—five stars all around!
Jimmy was an absolutely phenomenal tour guide and superb driver. We experienced the adventure of a lifetime in a single day thanks to his incredibly well-curated itinerary. From visiting the former home of Mary, Queen of Scots, to Stirling Castle, the majestic Kelpies, feeding Highland cows, discovering rustic waterfalls and a breathtaking ancient loch, sampling delicious Scottish salmon and cheese, enjoying an unforgettable lunch in a cozy Highland café, and ending the day surrounded by the iconic Three Sisters of Glencoe—it was pure magic from beginning to end.
Every moment of the journey was filled with laughter, great conversation, snacks, drinks, stunning scenery, and unforgettable memories.
Jimmy is warm, friendly, and genuinely entertaining, but what really sets him apart is his incredible knowledge of Scottish history, folklore, and culture. You can tell he truly loves Scotland, and that passion shines through in every story he tells. He also happens to be an expert photographer (an underrated but very important talent!), always knowing exactly where to capture the perfect shot. He captured me and my son in the heart of the highlands in an unforgettable lifetime photo with a rainbow! That photo will be framed and sit on my mantelpiece forever.
What impressed me most however was how intuitive and thoughtful he was. We had just arrived in Scotland and were still very jet-lagged. Without me even saying much, Jimmy sensed when my son and I needed a little quiet time to rest, and he naturally gave us the space to relax. That level of kindness and awareness made the experience even more special.
The drive itself was smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable, and I felt completely at ease the entire day.
If you're considering booking this tour, don't hesitate. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland, and I would recommend Jimmy to anyone without reservation. You won't regret it!

We loved our walking tour...
We loved our walking tour with Lilia! We learned soooo much about an Edinburgh. It felt like we went at a very nice pace and it was really interactive and informative. Excellent introduction to a new city!! Definitely would recommend. We did 3 hours which was great for enough information at not too fast a pace.

Great way to get to know the city. Highly recommended!
The hop on hop off bus was a great way to see the city and take a much needed walking break. We recommend booking the 24 hr pass which we didn’t do, but wished we did because the buses are a great way to get around the city at a low cost. You can plug into the guided tour and hear all about the landmarks as you pass them. It helps us get our bearings so we knew what we wanted to visit later. We loved this experience and would do it again.

A wonderful tour of Edinburgh Castle in the city
Our guide, Hugo was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. We enjoyed our time with him and all of the unique and insightful stories. He had the history of both both Edinburgh Castle, and the city. We would highly recommend this tour, it was a great and unique experience. I think Hugo could’ve gone to whatever level of detail and depth if we wanted at each spot, but there is just so much to see and learn about and he did an excellent job weaving in and out of history through his stories and narrative.
Really can’t say enough about how good this experience was.
Thank you Hugo!

Not seeing something you are looking for?
When you’re visiting Edinburgh for the first time, trying to cover the centuries of history that have shaped Scotland's capital can feel daunting. Instead of relying on your phone or guidebook, delve deeper into the city's heritage on an Edinburgh private sightseeing tour. You'll experience the city through the eyes of a local, either by walking or driving, and can tailor your tour to include local food tasting or even cover filming locations on a Harry Potter-themed tour.
