Easy to find pickup and friendly banter (and timekeeping) throughout with Gary. Good Craic as they say in these parts. The causeway itself is worth the trip. Stunning with great photo ops. We also had wonderful weather with clear sight of Scotland across the sea. Half day trip seemed just right for us.

Belfast history lesson

Believed it would be an exhibition just about the sinking. Mistaken. Showed the years of Belfast shipbuilding with many displays showing the innovations required to make the ship. Showed the socio-economic pluses and minuses to the Belfast area. Had a really fun ride taking one through an experience of being a builder. Lots of fun. Would definitely keep younger ones interested. Also they limit entrance to so many on a timed basis which keeps it from becoming overwhelmingly crowded.

Giants Causeway Half Day Trip

Fantastic half day trip up to the Giants Causeway which was just as spectacular as we had hoped, we definitely saw it at its best in the sunshine. It was cold and windy up there though so we were pleased that we had wrapped up! Our coach driver Gary made the trip for us, not only was he full of facts about the passing scenery and landmarks, he provided a fantastic history of Ireland. He was also extremely funny which made the trip extremely enjoyable and entertaining.

The tour started with a pickup from the city centre around 9:30 am and ended at 1:15 pm. This tour doesn't include afternoon tea (which is £30), but you can add it by calling the tour’s support line. The experience is excellent, as the sets and props are laid out beautifully. You can also choose to leave later, around 2:00 pm, but you’ll need to notify them in advance so they can book a space for you on the shuttle.

The Best Of Northern Ireland

Great job today from Stephen, our driver and tour guide, who imparted lots of knowledge along the way and took us to Giants Causeway (a gem), Bushmills Distillery, The Dark Hedges from Game Of Thrones, and the Carrick-A-Rede Bridge overlook along with several other vistas that'll make you smile while shaking your head over what you're seeing. Excellent full-day excursion!

we opted for Viator’s tour, rather than the comparable tour offered by our cruise line. It was half the price, but longer and included more stops. Our excellent driver, Stephen, multitask and acted as driver and tour guide. He did a great job, and his mission seemed to be to get his passengers to the site before the other big cruise buses. It worked! We had open viewing of the Giants Causeway hundreds of people poured in. It didn’t hurt that we had perfect weather. Plenty of time to explore and have a pint in the pub there before heading on for a quick lunch break in Bushmill. The drive-through the northern Ireland countryside was beautiful and he was a very proficient driver.
