What are people saying about Galway

Superb customer service
Brian was our driver on this tour. He was funny and informative. He was also kind, understanding, and helpful with my son who was feeling a little car sick on the roads. The Abbey and the grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed the stops along the way as well.

The perfect introduction to Galway’s food, pubs and history
If you only have time for one food experience in Galway, make it this one. Our guide was excellent. He was a genuine local with a great sense of humour, incredibly knowledgeable, and happy to answer all of my questions about Galway, Irish history, food and pub culture. It felt more like spending an afternoon with a local friend than being on a tour. The seafood chowder at Screene’s was outstanding and, without question, the best chowder I had during my stay in Galway. Rich, perfectly seasoned, packed with seafood and served with delicious homemade soda bread. I tried chowder elsewhere afterwards, but nothing matched it. I also loved tasting local craft beer that I probably would never have ordered on my own, visiting some of Galway’s beautiful historic pubs, and finishing with Murphy’s famous sea salt ice cream, which absolutely lived up to its reputation. The perfect finale was learning how to make a real Irish coffee ourselves. As a Swede, I grew up knowing and loving Irish coffee, so it was wonderful to finally learn how it’s properly made in Ireland. My only suggestion would be to give guests a printed or digital list of all the pubs, restaurants, beers and foods included on the tour. We visited so many wonderful places that I would have loved to revisit them later, but I couldn’t remember all the names. This tour gave me a much deeper appreciation of Galway’s food, history and pub culture. I left full, happy, and already planning where I wanted to return. Highly recommended.

An amazing experience!
The Cliffs of Moher were amazing! And the tour made them that much better. The drive alone is breathtaking — a marvelous display of Irish coastline. The additional stops were exciting and interesting to see. Dave was a fantastic tour guide. He was fun to listen to on the drive, pointing out additional facts as we traveled through The Burren and up to the Cliffs. This is a tour I would do again and again!

Excellent driver
Our driver was excellent. If it were not for his great history of Ireland and his very nice and curious manner, we would have been somewhat disappointed. They had to switch the order of our tour, so the cliffs were done first and all we saw was fog. Had it been done in the correct order as previously planned, we would have had a spectacular view because it cleared as we were leaving! Not fair!

Galway is the perfect home base for exploring the Cliffs of Moher and other gems in Western Ireland, but there’s plenty to enjoy in the city itself. Galway tours show you the town’s medieval landmarks, lively Latin Quarter, and locally-loved venues for live Irish folk music. You can even opt for tours spotlighting Galway’s traditional pubs or chilling ghost stories. If you fancy getting out of the city, simply follow a guide to the seaside villages, mountainside castles, and sheep-speckled hiking trails near Connemara and the Cliffs of Moher.
