Yet most of its small, family-run wineries remain hidden from the average tourist and that's exactly where we're going. Your experience begins when I pick you up from your accommodation (or meet you at an agreed point) and take you into the heart of Valpolicella Classica. Along the way, I'll share the stories of its terraced vineyards, its villages, its centuries-old winemaking tradition. At the winery, you'll be welcomed by the people who actually make the wine. No crowded tasting rooms, no rehearsed scripts, just an authentic encounter with a small producer who is passionate about their craft. You'll taste their wines, learn about the production process, and understand what makes Valpolicella so special. The experience lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours and is conducted in English and Italian. Groups are kept small by design — because the best conversations happen around a small table.

Departing from Verona at 2:00 pm, the tour will first take you along the Prosecco DOC route, showing you all the history and ancient charm of these sparkling wine regions of eastern Verona. You will visit a winery and taste different styles of Prosecco DOC. You will then move to Valpolicella, where you will visit a winery that produces the typical red wines of this other wine-growing area. Here you will taste at least 4 of Valpolicella DOC and DOCG wines, such as Valpolicella, Ripasso, His Majesty Amarone, and Recioto, with their different styles. Through this tour, you will be able to get to know two Veronese wine areas and the incredible wines produced here, relaxing among the wonderful hills of Prosecco and Valpolicella.

Arriving in the cellar, you will be greeted by a glass of welcome of Custoza DOC. After a brief account of the company philosophy of Giovanna Tantini, and of the path made in these years, there will be a visit to the winery. You will be taken to the jeep for a tour through the vineyards where you will be explained the history of the vineyards, the typical grapes of Garda territory, its characteristics, and the different processes of processing the green for the preparation of the grapes before the harvest. After the tour through the vineyards, you will participate in a guided tasting of the other 3 DOC of Lake Garda: Chiaretto DOC, Corvina Garda DOC (MA.GI.CO.) and Bardolino DOC, wines produced by Giovanna.
