Paula H was an incredible guide for our tour of the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica!
Paula H was an incredible guide for our tour of the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica! She was knowledgeable, patient, and kept the tour engaging from start to finish. She took the time to answer questions, made sure everyone stayed together, and even helped take photos for us, which was very thoughtful. Her kindness and enthusiasm made the experience even more memorable. We learned so much while still having fun. Highly recommend touring with Paula H.

Best tour guide & great overall Vatican tour
This is a great overall tour if Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica. Our tour guide was Maximus(?) and he also worked as a Vatican tour guide. His knowledge of all things Vatican related was amazing. His passion for this place was contagious. I do wish the Vatican would in force the quiet policy in the Sistine Chapel but that’s not the tour company issue. Timing was great and skip the line was a must. Easy to find checkin spot that was very close to entrance.

See an icon without the long queues.
Brilliant way to see St Peter's Basilica & the Sistine Chapel, without the queues.
The guides took us right through the line-up without having to wait.
The commentary by Francesca was fresh and interesting.
Our party of 2 was late, but Franceska welcomed us when we caught up with the rest of the group.
We saw so much, and then had the opportunity to go back and see more in further detail. A great tour of a landmark attraction.

Informative but too short and too big a group for the price
The tour was very informative, but in order to really take everything in, a smaller group would have been nicer. In addition, 3 hours is really not enough time to see and look at everything. The best part of this tour is the skip the line access and the ability to get into St Peter’s Basilica right after the Sistine Chapel. It was also a bit difficult to understand the guide’s English at times.

The Sistine Chapel is Spectacular! Once you see the Vatican Museum nothing comes close to it.

Nadia was extremely...
Nadia was extremely knowledgeable and professional. She did a great job of explaining the important points but did not distract too much from our ability to just take in this amazing place.

When to visit

Be prepared for security lines similar to those at airports, including metal detectors, bag scanners, and potentially long waits.
This is one of the most popular attractions in all of Italy, so crowds are nearly inevitable.
The Basilica of St. Peter has a strict dress code—no bare shoulders, midriffs, or knees—and you won't be allowed in unless you adhere to it.
A skip-the-line tour of the Vatican Museums that includes St. Peter's enables you to bypass the basilica's long entry lines; you still have to go through the security check.
Climbing the dome atop the Basilica to take in the fantastic views over St. Peter's Square, requires a ticket.
