After the show, guests take on the roles of Sukeroku and Oiran. The performers teach simple movements from the Oiran procession and a classic scene using a traditional Japanese pipe. This is a traditional dojo where the 63rd Yokozuna, Asahifuji, trained his disciples for 33 years. In this authentic training space, where four Yokozuna and over ten Sekitori (elite wrestlers) have sweated and trained, you can actually experience practice and bouts with the sumo wrestlers. Sumo, Japan's national sport, has a history spanning 1,500 years. Out of this long history, only 75 wrestlers have ever achieved the rank of Yokozuna, and only about 70 of the roughly 1,000 active wrestlers are Sekitori. We offer a precious opportunity for you to stand on such a special Dohyo (sumo ring) and interact with the wrestlers trained by the 63rd Yokozuna, Asahifuji. After the training, enjoy a special time savoring Chanko-nabe (a hearty stew), the source of the sumo wrestlers' strength, together with them. Please enjoy a unique sumo experience, found nowhere else in the world.

Most visitors to Japan never get closer to its archery tradition than a photograph. Here, you pick up a bow yourself. A master of shihan-mato, a traditional Japanese archery style with its own bow, posture and history, teaches you in a private studio five minutes from Ebisu Station. You change into traditional archery dress, learn stance, grip and breathing, then shoot for real while the master corrects your form personally and moves the target back as your aim steadies. Once the basics settle, the mood shifts: you play a friendly target game against your group, your host, or the master himself. Very few guests beat him. Your English-speaking host interprets throughout, so nothing is lost. Shihan-mato is distinct from kyudo, the modern standardized form, but shares the same roots and the same emphasis on posture, breathing and etiquette. With a maximum of eight guests, everyone shoots many times and everyone gets corrected personally.
